"Shiver me timbers" (or "shiver my timbers" in Standard English) is an exclamation in the form of a mock oath usually attributed to the speech of pirates in works of fiction. It is employed as a literary device by authors to express shock, surprise, or annoyance. The phrase is based on real nautical slang and is a reference to the timbers, which are the wooden support frames of a sailing ship. In heavy seas, ships would be lifted up and pounded down so hard as to "shiver" the timbers, startling the sailors. Such an exclamation was meant to convey a feeling of fear and awe, similar to, "Well, blow me down!", or, "May God strike me alive and well". Since on the high seas the ship was the sailors' 'world', it may also be interpreted as an exclamation for "shake my world" as the subject being referred to could be, or may be considered a potentially 'world shaking' event.
Having their ping pong table stolen by rival pirates in a midnight ambush, the Gambling Pirates came up with a creative substitute for their favorite game: throwing words back at each other. The ear is the paddle, and an agreed-upon phrase is the ball. First pirate to get tongue tied takes a shot of whiskey but also gets to choose the next phrase.
“shiver me timbers” such an inspiring phrase that has mentally helped to do much more. I was stuck and strangled but THIS phrase has gotten me out the mess.
I hate to be that guy but I have quite a few problems with this video. My main issue is that this video is highly inaccurate to the time period. The music used is one of the many versions of the song "Drunken Sailor" which was written in the early 1800s (Earliest record of the song is from 1839). While pirates were still around to a small degree during this time period, they most likely would have been in the Indian Ocean or China Sea however, the song was most likely based of the Irish Folk song "Óró sé do bheatha abhaile" and its earliest record was in New London Connecticut. Even if we do assume that this particular pirate ship is one of the last in the New World, a pirate would most certainly not be singing this song. The oldest record of this song was on a whaling ship leaving New London, Connecticut. This implies that the song was sung by the richer of sailors, and most certainly not by a pirate crew of people desperate for money. Furthermore these people are pirates, their only work was likely to drink beer and raid any ship they can. Pirate ships are often filthy and cleaning likely never happened. The point of Sea Shanties is to bring the crew together and work in sync. On a whaling ship, everyone would need to tug on the rope of a harpoon in unison. The speed that the song "Drunken Sailor" and the fact it was on a whaling ship implies that was its very purpose, to bring the crew together in unison. However, on a pirate ship, what unison would be needed, and would anyone even bother to listen? These people are not almost certainly not smart, efficient, or respectful enough to work together in such a way. The final main problem I have with this video is that the phrase "Shiver me timbers" was only first popularized (Although first used in print in 1795) by its use in the story Treasure Island, written in 1883. The archetypal pirate Long John Silver is the one to use this phrase and is likely the reason it is associated with pirates. For these pirates to even know of the phrase "shiver me timbers" they likely would have to learn it as a child. This would put the time period at the late 1800s to the early 1900s at least. To say that a pirate crew would be around in the new world at this time is ridiculous. Even the very ship would be unlikely! Please note however, that I am not a professional when it comes to pirates and sea shanties, so I may have gotten many parts of this wrong. Because of this please do not hesitate to correct me of any failures I have made in this comment.
I swear I remember an animation you made where a stick figure was like “I hope you brought your tap dancing shoes!” ( As in a fight ) “Let’s Dance!” Then they do tap dancing battles with DDR style

while the right pirate said it 19 times, however the 19th time had got cut off.
