Come on! Johnny had the mental capacity of a 9 year old! They made him go through that whole ordeal knowing he didn't understand any of it and then locked him up for something it was obvious he didn't do! People are such assholes.
Feel awful for poor johnny serving 8 years for nothing !
Indeed! Odd, isn't it, the judges name isn't mentioned- who denied another trial after the preponderance of evidence exonerated Johnny. I'd bet money he's an old white man.
Sadly, he was pardoned, not exonerated. So he still has the guilty mark on his record.
I think Johnny has CAPD, which renders him incapable of doing the things they said. Many people with CAPD appear to be age level mature, but they're actually very child like in thier thinking. Its very sad what happens to many of them. If I could start my teaching career over I'd want to specialize in helping them.
Sure would like to know the names of the officers that did the interrogating .... And their history !
fucking court systems.
Best show ever
poor Elmer got killed because of someone else's greed
"Miranda Rights... difference between right and wrong." Wow! I can't believe this guy was coerced into confessing.
Even people who are of average intelligence are coerced into confessing to crimes they didn’t commit.
What a joke that missy got off . She helped murder her friend
She cooperated and gave witness testimony. It's also cheaper to have one trial. Then two where in each trial the participants in the crime blame each other.
This happens Every Day People!!!
When are we going to do something to STOP IT?
Johnny Lee Wilson so sad he was taken advantage of, and all after all they did to him, all he got was $615,000!!!!! The folks involved should have also been sued like the police and prosecutor and judge. The fool who did commit the murder was never tried and the case remains UNSOLVED!
So they can’t show the haunted house because they are trying to sell it. That would be messed up if they don’t warn the new owners first.
"Update"-on a UM 'jag' listening/watching every episode, one after another: I've learned "Updated" storys are not always stories they've covered in the past. Good gimmick.
Are you kidding me, 7 months that's a crime in it's self 😲 Brian was so sad 😭 how could he hold on so long and high 🙏
so much corruption in the world.
The Jude should be fired! And why didn't this kids family and doctors object?
This here ^. I need to look it up sometime, because someone had to have power of attorney over him right? Id think if mentally he was still 5-8 years old, someone would just have to have POA and he'd need that person present like any actual underage person. So yeah, what the fuck happened there
the judge should be fired!!
What a wonderful guy he was!! 30:22-30:37

Missy Munday’s friends failed her 100%. If I knew my friend was dating an adult, I would definitely tell someone.
I wonder if the Tatum couple is still alive today, what the ultimate fate of their haunted house was and what Missy, who now is 55, is up to.
The ghost/spirit story:
Their subdivision is built over a Civil war battlefield.
Battle of Kolb's Farm, Marietta, GA.
So much for not disclosing things 🙄
26:56 Missouri not Maryland
John Q Public
Occasionally, they misidentify states. I’ve seen it probably five or so times in the Farina era of the show.
36:30 Missouri not Kentucky... they’re still zooming in on Missouri 😂😂😂
Johnny reminds me Of Brandon Avery - mentally impaired and a police scapegoat.
It would almost be easier if you had the officers and lawyers on these shows saying "my god we made such a mistake", there was one case like that where nobody actually told the police the guy that had confessed after interrogation had an IQ in the low 50s, and they turned around as soon as they found out and admitted no way, that confession isnt legit.
The worst though is the cops that cannot admit they're wrong. Like "well he confessed why would he do that unless it was true? makes no sense" after a comprehensive detailing of how the guy has the mental capacity of a toddler.
he got what he deserved. anyone who abuses animals or hangs out with people who do, deserve the worst. end of discussion. he's in jail for life, suck it up, jen
Courts prosecutors cops and judges they are in it together. The system is corrupt
I got friends that lives in Aurora Missouri.
Sounds to me like the wife thought she saw something and the husband saw it as an opportunity to stop having to be slave to that stupid bell.
Good. Shit
Some people are so evil

40:58 In 1997, a woman named Dee Duecker watched a repeat of this case and believed the man was her missing son, a twenty-eight-year-old marathon runner named Brian Duecker. He had vanished from Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 26, 1991, leaving his ID and a note behind. The note mentioned that he wanted to head west. When she contacted investigators, they claimed that he did not match the man's description.
However, Dee was still convinced that the man was Brian. After reading an online article about him, she was put in contact with a writer from Paducah who forwarded a photograph of Brian to investigators. In 1999, fingerprints confirmed that it was him. According to his family, he suffered from schizophrenia. It is believed that this is why he acted strangely at the airport and later jumped onto the plane.
Brian's family has since added a second marker to his grave, which lists his name and date of birth.
