33. Patricia Jackson - We Ride Too

What a lovely and heart touching visit with Patricia Jackson who founded the non-profit We Ride Too. Her organization has two pillars, horsemanship and mental health. They focus on helping people in the city of Oakland feel included, deal with emotional trauma, and learn connection and community.
Founded in response to an ugly incident in which Patricia and her two young granddaughters were told, "Black people don't ride here" at a public barn in Oakland. She could have escalated it and turned it into even more of a hurtful situation. Instead, In her infinite wisdom, from a place of determination and love, Pat started We Ride Too that includes ALL kinds of people, and is truly changing hundreds of lives each year.
Tears, laughter and serious talk were part of today's episode, and we know you have as much admiration and appreciation for what Miss Pat is doing as we do.
