Branching out is such an essential part of being an artist; so kudos to you. You would never have known that this wasn't your medium of choice; this is high level work. The texture and detail in the feathers and beak stand out. I love the soft focus of the background; it makes the details up front really apparent. Thank you Larry.... I agree, branching out and trying different mediums is incredibly beneficial to growth as an artist. I have spend most of my years airbrushing, detailed pencil drawing, acrylics, watercolors, and even spent an 11 year break painting custom motorcycles and helmets. However, lately, my main focus has been my passion for photography. The problem is, my full time job has nothing to do with art and it's hard to find the time. Earning a living is sure inconvenient. Lol!

People tell me my drawing is beautiful but it doesn't compare to the detail I see in your drawing. My hand does the strokes but I cant duplicate your detail. Do you offer instruction ?
