Having had the same hesitations and doubts when downsizing in the past, I find that there are still some doll that I really regret selling because I did it for fast cash or because someone else said I should or because I thought I needed space, not really because “I don’t enjoy this doll being around.” My suggestion is to not think about the number so much as how happy they make you when you’re not busy. You might not have time now, but that could change. I would wait a few more months and see if you feel the same way. ❤ Also, I love your new short hair! It looks really cute! I hope things settle down for you and you can enjoy a doll quality time without snakes.
Your short haircut looks cute and fresh for spring. Your Prowess mimic with changes gives it the right amount of individuality and uniqueness, and looks great. I can hardly wait to see the faceups for next week’s video, especially since they’re mine, and timed with my birthday. 🥳😺 And yes, snakes can be unsettling. 🐍
I can relate to growing a collection too fast! If they still bring you joy, keep them. I get sad too when I think about downsizing my dollies, downsizing is hard Lol. I started making lists for each doll to see what they needed, or if I wanted to change anything about them like their clothes or wigs and that helped me feel less overwhelmed with them. Also your face-ups are beautiful!
I love this new face up and can’t wait to watch the next one! I collect fashion dolls, Funko pops, and have gotten into Smart Doll as well. I have my own set of rules for what I purchase into my collections, but if I were to downsize things (which I will probably do at some point) I would use the Marie Kondo method. I would definitely spend some quality time with a doll before making any final decisions though to be on the safe side.
Thanks for sharing your face up - I like yours it came out nice.. Well I won't sell any of my girls and also won't share heads or body's but this is only my opinion... Have fun and keep the sparkle on... Lovies Yetta💕
Hi Kat, Another stunning face up 💙 Selling Smart dolls is impossible for me too. I have 20 full Smart dolls! I also had 2 floating heads from chaos which I already had the full dolls, so thought I must sell them, but simply couldn't. So my solution was to give them to another friend 😊 Like you I think I got too many dolls too fast, as I feel I haven't got to actually know a lot of my girls yet, if that makes sense? But I KNOW if I let anyone go, I will regret it in the future. I will get to know all of my Smartie family, in time. I love your new haircut 🧡 And please can you send me some of your warm weather please? We got more snow 🙄 Hugs x
Don't rush yourself. Take your time in deciding. :) You could try packing away a few dolls into a closet for a couple months and see how you feel when you take them back out. Did you miss them? It's okay if you don't always have time for all your dolls. It's more important to think about if they make you happy when you do have time for them. And I would encourage you to try to reduce your intake of doll and doll products if you haven't already. :) I was really overwhelmed with four dolls on my dresser for a while. I chose to display one in a different area for a bit and it helped A LOT. I also still have a doll unassembled in the box because of space and time. I know I'll get to her eventually so I don't worry about it. :) Please try not to stress about how much time you have for the dolls and instead focus on enjoying the time when you have it. I hope this helps you.
I've been looking at revamping my collection as I don't have a lot of room too. I'm finding if I don't have the room to properly display it, it need to be re homed do I'm widdling it down to one's I cannot be without, it hasn't been easy but I'm getting there and I'm starting to be able to breath
That is exceptionally kind! Cocoa Prowess is one I am always looking at purchasing for myself. Sometimes doing a face-up satisfies that need for certain dolls. It is strange.
I ❤how she turned out! well, I only have 6 1/2 boy smd's. 2 floatin heads 5 full smd's. so idk pick one's ya love and keep. the one's ya haven't bonded with let them go. hope that helps stay awesome kat
She is lovely. You did an awesome job!!
Always enjoy your chaos, love. ❤ Also, enjoying Tess’ headless body up there on that shelf. 😉
Hahah! She will be reunited with her body soon! Love you!!!!!! ❤️

I love your doll better than the original... the skin looks softer and her eyes are more realistic.
