9:58 This hits close to home, I loved hoarding random bits and bobs as a kid. I still have a 2004 Kid Care bubble bath Shrek bottle top figurine, he currently lives on my computer desk lol

Idk how, but i missed the shrek boom. Was a depressing time for me personally so i missed a lot of stuff from that time. Cartoons movies and all. Just went by. :(

Thankfully we live in a great age of physical media and a generally not too bad aftermarket. Shrek and all of Y2K Dreamworks is becoming collectible but it’s nowhere near the prices or demand of Gen X stuff yet. Even if you missed out on this stuff I say load up on old DVDs and merch, you’re bound to discover some treasure 😊 Many of my favorite classic films were released years before I was born. (Secret of NIMH and Cats Don’t Dance!)
