The A7 Mombasa Kilifi- Malindi to Lunga Lunga/Horohoro-Tanga Bagamoyo East African Coastal Road

The upgrading of the A7 Highway. This International Trunk Road which connects Lamu; from the Lamu Port, Garsen at a place called Minjila, to Malindi, Likoni, Ukunda to the Tanzanian Border to Horohoro, Tanga, Bagamoyo all the way to Daresalaam. This is an important road for regional integration. Its expansion will improve the safety and movement of goods and services. The project will include a One stop border post that will ease the flow of traffic. This will reduce the clearing of trucks at the border from 4 days to 24 to 48 hours to clear a truck.
