Yay!!! I'm so glad Hanna admitted her feelings. I'm glad Carla told her how life would be with them together. Now Hanna can make an informed decision. Thanks for these weekly posts!
I discovered this series yesterday and have been binge watching ever since. Very hard to stop watching with such beautiful women and a great story. Hands- down my most favorite lesbian storyline ever on UA-cam. A little difficult to keep up with the captions, but worth it. Thank you very much for posting these.😊👍🏽👍🏽
Gosh watched this series a very long time ago , it is interesting that show from the beginning also had a lesbian couple represented in the story line and in fact several German tv shows did the same .
I noticed that Bette Porter factor too with Carla or is it Jennifer Beals factor with Claudia Hiersche? Even the acting is so similar, the two actresses go into their characters and give it their all not holding back and that is one of the reasons I fell in love with Claudia Hiersche. She goes in into this Lesbian character and never holds back just like Jennifer Beals and both women are actually hetero women in real life. They are so convincing as lesbians that we forget about that real life aspect about them. These shows were airing almost the same time, but I think these scenes of Carla as a lesbian started airing way before the old lword came on air in 2004
@@samzwetu5226 Just for context: The L Word first aired in January 2004 and Carla's first scene in this show aired in September 2003, her first scene with Hanna came out in October 2003. So, not that far apart as you said:) Quite funny that two very similar lesbian characters were created independently of each other almost at the same time
What I like about this chapter is the understated way in which Hanna is haranguing Carla about her surprise engagement, for those who can see it we know that all of this is a front to hide her true feelings and the concern she has for Carla's situation, but what I like is the actress' understatement and control over her emotions as she finally slips out that she loves Carla. There's a level of complexity to Hanna's character that, by this stage, means her emotional control flips between periods of high anxiety over her feelings towards Carla and what it means, and on the other hand a more normal state where she is in full control and, arguably, repressed in her true emotions. Unable to be honest with herself and properly express what it is she really feels. That is what is on display here as she unconsciously tells Carla she does lover her. It's s lovely and well judged moment, and Hanna's apparent stone-face as she says her piece in that drawing room is entirely in keeping with her character as seen so far, someone who is still in self-denial. But as Carla recovers from her astonishment at her confession I feel it a mistake that the stone-face still remains by this point - by the time Carla has responded and the two stand face to face some genuine emotion is now needed from Hanna... *and it isn't there!* As I say, I enjoy the scenes, but for such a pivotal chapter I expect and _want_ some emotional catharsis for Hanna. Even the later scenes in Carla's office seem strangely underwhelming given the importance of the meeting. But full credit to Claudia Hirche - as always, she is excellent in every scene she appears. It's a good reason as to why the initial scenes in the drawing room with Hanna strike me as a little unsatisfying - Hirche is giving the scenes her all, while Actress/Hanna is completely monotone all the way through... as I say I appreciate the intentions, and it fits her character, but it just needed *_some_* emotion come the end of her confessional to Carla. :)
A new episode is posted every Tuesday. Or, if you really can't stand the suspense, you can watch the Carla & Hanna story on our Dailymotion CarlaEpisodes channel. However, those videos are not HD. What we're doing here on our UA-cam channel is improving the quality of what's been previously published, plus adding more languages.
Thanks for all of your efforts to present this German soap opera to us. Thanks a million!!❤❤😊🇨🇺🇺🇸
