Thanks for making Live Hightlights!! ^^ 이 것은 정말 유용하네요! Especially to review the class & refresh my memory about these grammar points every now and then. 재림 선생님 항상 감사합니다~~~
저도 항상 감사합니다!!! 🥰 유용해서 저도 기뻐요!!! I know you always study hard during my live class, so I am extra happy to hear the highlights also help! Reviewing is always a wonderful way to retain the information!
It’s how I came to just checkout a small snippet of the video and now I’m here 15mins already. 😂 You’re really good at giving welcoming vibes and you’re topic about Korean so I am attentive. Well done.
YAY!!! That's what I LOVE to hear! Spending the whole 15 minutes! 😄 I am really happy and honored to hear my videos are welcoming and helpful! Once again, thank you!!! 너무 감사합니다! 😍
The fascinating world of Korean word endings! Now, I can recognise many words in Kdramas but many of the more - to me - esoteric endings are mysterious. Thanks for helping me understand these two which I will now be listening carefully for!
yessss!!!! you change one verb ending, and the whole attitude or epistemic stances change in Korean!!! 😊 that's how a lot of joking, arguing, and sarcasm are carried out in Korean without changing actual vocab or anything!
I think in many of the examples, I would have preferred to say something like 저는 바빠서 그래요, instead of 바쁘거든요. What's the difference? It seems 바쁘거든요 is more condescending.
Is it possible to add the 잖아 ending to nouns. I think I heard this in a drama - the actor saying to this wife that it is night (and they should go to sleep) - 밤에잖아
For the story telling, you can use either without much difference! One difference is ~거든 is used when that background is new information and not previously shared with the listener. Hope this helps! 😊
There are two levels of 반말: ~아/어 and the plain speech level. ~아/어 conjugation is the same as ~아요/어요, and please watch this video for the plain speech level: ua-cam.com/video/IiVk3bBUWuI/v-deo.html
I have a couple of the K-drama scene breakdown videos, and I have another one coming soon! 🥰 사이코지만 괜찮아(It's Okay to Not Be Okay) scene breakdown: ua-cam.com/video/smgpiioN7kM/v-deo.html 여신강림(True Beauty) scene breakdown: ua-cam.com/video/s52bMJmlDH4/v-deo.html Stay tuned for Hospital Playlist scene breakdown, too! 감사합니다 선생님 ❤
Since the begining I learnt Korean, I think this one is the most comprehensive explanation about 거든 and 잖아.

YESSS!!! 👍 맞아요! 😁
Is it possible to add the 잖아 ending to nouns. I think I heard this in a drama - the actor saying to this wife that it is night (and they should go to sleep) - 밤에잖아
Noun+(이)다: to be Noun = Noun(이)잖아.
밤이다 to be night -> 밤이잖아. "It's night, you know."
친구다 to be friends -> 친구잖아. "We're friends, you know."
@@KoreanJream Ah - so it is a verb - to be night!
When I want to say a story we can use ㄴ/는데 too whats the different between 거든 and ㄴ/는데?
For the story telling, you can use either without much difference! One difference is ~거든 is used when that background is new information and not previously shared with the listener. Hope this helps! 😊
Can u tell me how to use 반말. I know some of them only. I want to talk with my korean friends in 반말 but I am nervous.
