Panagbenga means “blooming of flowers” in Kankanaey. Highlighting the resilience and creativity of the people of Baguio City, the streetdance presentation weaves the story of Lumawig, a powerful deity who created the first man and woman. Despite the challenges and hardships faced by the people, Lumawig remains a guiding force in their lives. The story serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting and honoring the natural world, as well as the power of a benevolent deity to bring balance and order to the universe.
