It’s absolutely normal to be 100% truthful. Any young person found guilty or even accused of crime, react in this manner, Pyschology tells us this for centuries. It’s sad that these jail calls of raw emotions are even allowed to be used, at any time, unless they are actually disclosing a crime.

I've always been a big fan of Hannah and do kind of agree that she was railroaded in prison. I don't think she should have taken the plea deal but there's got to be some sort of action she can take. That cocaine charge was just ridiculous and It's not surprising the jury saw through it. No evidence so why was there a charge? In the end, live round or not, Hannah didn't pull the trigger. Who cares if there were live rounds on the set? It's a gun and should be treated as such. Hannah's got a great future and career. This is nothing. No one will even remember this..

Okay, I have to post another comment. As a cancer survivor who is currently going through testing to insure I don't have cancer again... the fact that HG wants to use her dad's cancer to keep herself out of prison by lying about the support he has it honestly despicable and makes me sick. The only thing that has made me more angry/sick so far is her use of the R slur.

Right there w/you~ also praying for good news w/your testing. As if surviving it once weren't enough, I cannot imagine the ongoing stress of recurrance. We lost our oldest son @19 to a very rare, incurable disease, & the disrespect in that statement alone is enough to enrage me. I also cannot imagine ANYone using a loved one's health crisis as fodder for their derelict selves~ beyond ugly, it's flat evil imho. Here's hoping that the 18 mo's in prison she was sentenced to today will produce some actual "character" in this woman, & that she reaches a place of responsibility & remorse~ genuine remorse. The kind the judge read a definition for during her sentencing...right before telling the bailiff to "Take her".

I think it's not forgetting, so much as it is convincing oneself that it doesn't matter. There's a sign above the phone, even I think it's more that people convince themselves that no one is going to bother digging through, and listening to them. I think inmates believe that unless they do something major that catches the attention of the correction officers, that no one will ever listen to those calls. It boils down to arrogance though. She thought that she was smart enough, and special. That she, and she alone is able to say whatever she wants over the phone. That she alone is smart enough to say it in a way that will not get her into extra trouble. That she alone is smart enough to present an image so innocent that nobody would ever want to comb through her calls. Also, it's obvious she believes that she did nothing wrong. That she is the victim. A lot of what she has said she doesn't realize how insanely bad it makes her look. Quite ironic for her to be calling the jury intellectually inefficient. Talk about being wrong and when you're wrong doubling down. She may like jail, but I highly doubt she's going to love the social ramifications of this. If she wants to act like a person that won't take responsibility for their own actions That would rather sit around and play the blame game, that would rather throw slurs, and unfounded accusations at the judge, the jury, and the prosecution then we will treat her like that kind of person. I think she's going to very much regret having opened up her big mouth. I am so glad these kinds of people do such a good job at telling on themselves. Someone should also remind her that had her dreams come true, and she become a model, she would have been outright canceled for using that kind of language anyway.

A lot of commentators worried that the look on Hannah’s face (disdainful and bored) might be misconstrued. Some said “maybe she can’t help it, she just has a resting b****h face.” As it turns out, Hannah was holding back what she really felt about the whole damn court procedure and everyone involved, lol

In a way, and I don't know how the law is there, her sneaking a gun into a bar and flashing it on a video could show that she has violent leanings with regard to guns. She likes the power of them? And maybe that's how they can argue that this is a violent crime because she created an atmosphere that could lead to violence? That sounds convoluted but I'm just trying to get into their brains
