Nowhere on earth do meter readers run into more bizarre situations than in Los Angeles, so for Frank Adams this day started out like any other. Beautiful bikini-clad girls and vicious dogs are par for the course on his route, but before this day was over, Frank was to find himself in a predicament that no other meter reader had ever encountered. A premonition in a dream, a musty old cellar, the labored breathing of a maniac all would be part of the most frightening day Frank had ever known -- a day that could cost him his life.
Starring Peter Renaday whose career spans several films and television shows. His major roles include doing the voices of Splinter in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as Abraham Lincoln in the Hall of Presidents, and Henry in Country Bear Jamboree at Walt Disney World.
Original Premiere Date: Friday the 13th of October 1989

I'm glad I found this movie! It was definitely nice to see Peter in a live action, intense part. I was so use to hearing his voice most of the time. I love the little bit of humor with the bikini cladded, young woman and her surfer boyfriend. But it was definitely the cellar portion that got me. Being a claustrophobic, it was just enough to set me a little on edge and I think it portrayed Frank's situation perfectly. But also, due to the age of the film and my poor eyesight, I couldn't see much going on between Peter and the other actor. This is a movie I would have loved to talk to Peter about. This would have been a wonderful discussion. I was in my early teens when I heard Peter in "The Defenders of the Earth" as Mandrake the Magician, and then "TMNT" as Master Splinter. RIP Peter.

This would make a great training film for the customer service industry.
That type of situation could never happen in the 2020s. Typical service worker will have a company provided smartphone or other such device, maybe his own as well, GPS plus monitoring software tied to human resources and the legal dept. If he's smart he won't rely on just the company device, he's always recording for his own protection just in case his own boss throws him under the bus.
Customers won't kidnap you but they will attempt to set up the employee so they can sue the employer for a fast 20 or 30k out of court settlement. I personally had two occasions where a scantily clad women answered the door. Told them right away I just happened to forget a tool in the car so I could get clear and immediately call HR or the manager. Protect yourself at all times guys.

Talk about a blast from the past. I was the big bully kid "Chester"... when I was 10. Where did this come from if I may ask?

Ah ok! Hello again then! I showed this to my mother who was stunned. Good timing though! Thanks for uploading it! My 12 year old daughter is just getting into drama classes and doing plays at school, so this was fun to show her. My 10 year old son was surprised at how big I was at his age... but then, I grew up to be 6'9", so it's interesting to see how big I was also.
Hope everything is going well! My mom got in touch with our neighbors who we knew Peter through. Haven't heard their reaction quite yet but either way, it was a fun trip through history!

@@PaxGigas Nice to hear from you! This was my 20th film I believe and I was around twenty-five when I made it. I've been making movies since age eleven and am working on another one next year.. but in the meantime if you would like to see my most recent work, check out The Ghastly Love of Johnny X which had a two-million dollar budget.
