Peaky Blinders on Netflix is really good! It has fairly short seasons and there's only 3 or 4 out right now, so I feel like that could possibly be a good fit if you haven't watched it yet.
I feel like we have the exact same taste in reading😂like occasionally I’ll like a good contemporary but FANTASY IS THE SUPERIOR GENRE THAT IS THE BEST THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD
Been watching for a while (first time comment) loving your vlogs. Just began reading hp (because of ur love) for the first time shock I'm like in my 30s. And I love it so much more than I thought I would thanx.
I’ve also started checking out books from my library again over the past few months and I love it! It’s really helping me reduce my spending and helps with space constraints at home!
Recommendations for mini series: War and Peace with Paul Dano, Good Omens, Chernobyl, and as for normal length series i really cannot praise it enough, but try watching Peaky Blinders. One of the best shows out there currently.
Love your vlogs - especially that quality Matilda content ❤ Also, just finished the first Keeper of the Lost Cities book on your recommendation and loved it - literally starting Book 2 very soon!!
Stumptown is a Portland, OR company! You’ll have to make your way to the West Coast. Although there are people here who never liked that Stumptown expanded to NYC.
aaaah i’m so happy that you’re watching band of brothers and enjoying it! definitely a favorite of mine. also two tv series that are similar to it are the pacific (ww2 but in, you guessed it, the pacific) and generation kill (iraq war). they’re both hbo mini-series but idk where you can watch them in the us. :)
Just in time for the weekend read I’m so excited thanks for the weekly motivation! I’ve the first illustrated by my bed and I read a chapter or two every night 😇 thanks for insta-storying more (I’m sorry.. that’s not a word.. let’s ignore that..) it’s fun to watch little mini vlogs x
For a suuuuuuper dramatic mini-series I highly recommend the Pillars of the Earth and it’s companion, World Without End (based on the books by Ken Follett). There’s only about 6-8 episodes each and not necessary to watch in order because they take place in different time periods. They are also Excellent books!
Last month I really enjoyed Dark, might be a good follow up to Chernobyl, it got mention twice in Dark:) Also Russian Dolls, When They See Us and I hear Fleabag is good that's on my tbw list😜
I really highly recommend checking out the series Peaky Blinders on Netflix. It’s a BBC show set in the 1920 in Birmingham. Has 4 seasons out, 5th coming out soon! About 6 episodes per season so a quick binge!
I've never seen Fargo, which is surprising since it's filmed in the city I live. I have walked through the set though on my way to work one night, I think in the first season. They weren't filming at the time. They were just in my way and needed to get to work that night! lol
*New to your channel. Question! What do you mean by commute book? Obviously a book you read/listen to on your commute but are you driving and reading? Or driving and listening? lol I listen to audio books any time I'm in my vehicle. I'm a stay at home mama, so no commute - but I devour audio books any chance I can! Cooking, cleaning, folding laundry, driving, etc. Always curious how others do their book "ingestion"! 😊* *Call of Duty 4 was the first Xbox game I ever completed start to finish on my own on campaign - and I put an embarrassing amount of hours into multiplayer. Now my 7 year old son plays with his daddy haha!*
That trilogy (white hot kiss) is so much fun!!! I loved it 😋 I read it when it came out, and I didn’t knew there was a spin off until I saw your other video 😱
I loved money heist on Netflix, it’s a spanish TV show it has 3 seasons with about 8 episodes each and it’s seriously the best show I have ever watched !
I loved A Discovery of Witches. Season two of three is in filming. I read the books and loved them. I think you will too. Another Life was very good, it's a sci-fi series on Netflix. And an older one I watched when it came out years ago was the Tudors which you may enjoy. Already waiting for season four of Stranger Things next year. 😁
If you are into mystery “And then there were none” is good. I can’t remember if Netflix, Acorn it Amazon. But it’s good. If you haven’t seen The Pacific it was an HBO miniseries. My friends grandad is one of those followed so that’s pretty cool. Tom Hanks produced it.
Have you watched Queer Eye on Netflix? It’s a reality tv show so obviously not fiction, but it’s soooooooo good!!! It makes you feel so great and happy, it’s like the best feel good series out there
Since you're looking for a miniseries, I would recommend the first season of AMC's anthology series The Terror (it's on Hulu, and the second season is set to start airing next week). It's about a real-life expedition in the nineteenth century that gets lost in the Canadian Arctic area, and it's got Jared Harris (Valery Legasov in Chernobyl) as one of the protagonists. It does have some horror but there's so much genuine human kindness in it as well. I can't recommend it enough!
Im so intrigued by City of Blades. I loved Foundryside so much! Also what did you think of Good Omens? I loved the show a lot more than the book for once!
You should totally watch Fleabag if you haven’t! There are two seasons out, only 6 episode per season and they are about 20mn long so you watch it all super fast and it’s SO GOOD
Everyone hates on J. Armentrout but her books are SO entertaining! I highly recommend the covenant series, it was my absolute favorite when I read it a few years ago
Fun Fact: the La Colombe Factory is in my neighborhood. When it’s humid or raining the entire neighborhood smells like burnt coffee beans! Also. Not one La Colombe coffee shop to be had in my neighborhood. The first time i had it was at a coffee shop downtown across from my work. Lol
just want to say that your vlogs are my favorite!!! I want to recommend some Show if you have not seen it i'm watching Legion season 2 currently and it has become one of my all time favorite shows it's amazing
My boyfriend and I are watching The Alienist on Netflix (we’re from Germany, so not sure if it’s on Netflix in the US 🤔) and I really recommend it to you! It has 10 episodes and is a little spooky and whimsical and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It also takes place in New York City in the 1800s 💁🏼♀️
Its been out for a while on Amazon Prime but I really loved Mozart in the Jungle (4 seasons). Also on Amazon Prime is Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (1 season and also a great book)
You should check out the show Secrets At The Zoo, they show you what goes on behind the scenes at the Columbus Zoo. Well checks on the animals or what they do when the animals get hurt or sick. It’s on nat geo wild and Hulu! I love it!
I've watched Band of Brothers like three times, I love it. I recommend The Pacific. It was created by the same people and it follows WWII on the pacific front.
As I know, your fav genre is Fantasy, and I'd recommend you to read "The Rise of Kyoshi" if you are familiar with the Avatar universe from the animation
Since you loved "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" you're gonna like "Most Beautiful Thing" or "Coisa Mais Linda" It's on Netflix and it has only 7 or 8 episodes! It's honestly amazing.
Thank you for using your local library! This librarian is so happy whenever a booktuber mentions using their local library.
"Matilda and I are just chillin" should be your catch phrase. :-)
Peaky Blinders on Netflix is really good! It has fairly short seasons and there's only 3 or 4 out right now, so I feel like that could possibly be a good fit if you haven't watched it yet.

Oh Good Omens!! I can't remember if I've seen you watch it (wow...meta) in these vlogs, but I started it last night and I'm loving so far.
Lol you literally mention later in the vlog that you're watching Good Omens. I was too excited to share the love!!
I loved the new Sabrina series. Totally dark but I binged watched all the episodes over a couple weeks.

My little librarian heart is so happy you got a library card
