They had a couple of good and close games in the past, but I’d say it probably started with bounty gate season and then the nfl really tried to push the rivalry after the Minneapolis miracle. Ever since then I do think the games has usually always been fun and the rivalry underrated but young.

He dropped a few balls but he burnt lattimore on almost every route. He cannot be guarded 1 v 1
JJ had a slight advantage but Lattimore did a decent job considering he was shadowing him all game.. JJ was rarely targeted in the 1st half with Lattimore in man coverage & most of his catches came in the 2nd half. He made plays & Lattimore made plays..

On that last play, Lattimore needed to get at least a hand on Jefferson. You can’t be lined up that close and not slow him up a little.

Only big plays Shon gave up was that last fade ball where he ain’t get hands on him and squeeze to sideline and the 2nd 21 where they were playing quarters and he bit on the in breaker. Other than that JJetaa was getting everything else on condensed splits and pick routes where it’s damn near impossible to defend without perfect communication on the back end. JJetas won but without that fade route I would say even matchup

@@ghanswalk6839 and like I said about 60-65 of those yards came on 2 plays. Other than everything else was highly contested not to mention he dropped a pick and had a couple PBUs. You gotta look at the fact that the Vikings got 3 questionable penalties to extend drives late in the 4th QTR on third down. If those penalties never happen JJ probably never even gets that fade ball.

Great matchup in a really good game. Watched the entire thing from start to finish and it was a pretty even battle but I'd give the slight edge to JJ because he burned Marshon on a couple of routes, especially one for a TD that Kirk threw behind JJ.

Lattimore loves to give up inside leverage because he is very good at breaking on slants and in cuts. Also has the speed to keep up on fades. Two all pros going at it

The thing that people aren't understanding is that Lattimore shadowed him the entire game aside from a few plays here & there.. He was tasked to guard him 1 on 1 for a majority of the game & he only gave up 1 catch against him in press man coverage the entire 1st half. No other CB shadows WR's like Lattimore does & he did give up catches but he did make some plays himself..

Definitely Justin Jefferson killed it and he was a bomb wide receiver today against Marshon Lattimore and Justin Jefferson won the matchup and I don’t think Marshon Lattimore didn’t do well except he couldn’t even lockdown Justin Jefferson like I thought he was a lockdown but he wasn’t a lockdown cornerback at all. It looks like Justin Jefferson could handle the Trash Talk of Marshon Lattimore. Justin Jefferson should broke a pass because Marshon Lattimore could missed the tackle and Justin Jefferson could be wide open and have a touchdown even though ML was down but he got his leg and feet.
Justin Jefferson had 10 catches for 147 yards and almost 3 touchdown but he should got that because he was to the end zone but I thought he made it but also he should went over Marshon Lattimore like a dive for the touchdown like he did in week 1 against the Packers and also Kirk Cousins should throw that to Justin Jefferson because he was wide open in the end zone with defense but throws it to Adam Thielen and 1 carry for 3 yards with a touchdown of his first career rushing touchdown. Justin Jefferson is just beating Marshon Lattimore and Marshon Lattimore can’t lockdown Justin Jefferson at all. He is too good at running routes.
That was unnecessary to push Justin Jefferson before he got out of bounds in the end zone and they should called that penalty on Marshon Lattimore.
These two penalties on the Saints defense was very good called for what they did to Adam Theieln right in the end zone and because they were on top of him and it was two penalties holding on 26 that was PJ Williams and Pass Interference on 23 that was Marshon Lattimore that was 5 yards and 15 yards that total of 20 yards and it made the first and goal on the one yard line and that what Justin Jefferson score a rushing touchdown of his career in the NFL game to hit the Griddy dance.

Cousins was "off" on accuracy almost all day at key times. Why? His OL kinda sucks. (NFL dilemma on many a team.) Was rushed time after time. Brady of TB Bucs having the same problem.
Vikings OL is actually pretty good. I agree that the Tackles had some problems in London, but ONeil and Darrisaw are still top tier tackles. They will work their way back. The interior is also holding up very well so far

The thing is you gotta account for the coverage the defense was in but against press man coverage, JJ had 3 catches for like 57 yards against Lattimore.. The other catches & yards either came against off man coverage or zone.

Marshon shadowed JJ most of the game, but the Vikings designed a lot of plays that were either rub or pick routes that freed him. Realistically, he had about 60 yards one on one.
