زیابیطس، جسے عام طور پر شوگر کہا جا تا ہے، یہ بیماری پاکستان میں بہت عام ہے۔ پاکستان کی تقریبا 17-23٪ آبادی کو ذیابیطس کا سامنا ہے جو کل آبادی 2 کروڑ ہے۔ پریشان کن عنصر یہ ہے کہ 85 لاکھ آبادی میں اس کی تشخیس تک نہیں کی جا سکی۔
ہمارے پیارے اس خاموش قاتل سے متاثر ہو تے ہیں اور ہم میں سے اکثر لوگ اس عام مرض کے رسک اور ایگریواٹنگ فکٹرز سے بے خبر ہیں- لیکن خوشی کی بات یہ ہے کہ ذیابیطس مکمل طور پر قابل علاج مرض ہے۔ لہذا اگلی بار جب آپ کسی کو اس مرض کی علامات کا سامنا کرتے ہوے دیکھیں تو انہیں ڈاکٹر کے پاس جانے کا مشورہ دیں۔
