Such a good family outing! They will remember this time you spend with them and enjoy each other too! I use to take my boys to two state parks, and we would hike, play on the kid play area, and creek hike. They loved find crawdads, fish and different insects! Glad you enjoyed!
ilove that you take the time out for family adventures .... yes you take time for the children always and take time for your marriage but family fun days are great not many do it .......i was a single parent and i had 1 of each child my son wanted arcades fishing time and my daughter wanted mall movies and fishing time so once a month i would do a he day and a she day worked great for me we all did the fishing together we were always fishing and going to derby's and winning prizes back in the day hugsssssss
I’m glad you all had fun and that there was a wheelchair accessible rout! No braille this time though. What would you do if you came across a bear? I think if I were on a hike that would be so cool! I could stand from a distance and see if I could hear it. Although we have had them, bears are very uncommon in Ohio.
Been to Don Roberson state park pretty neat- worked at price chopper store in house springs Roberson would come into store all the time selling his off and looking for a deal- seem like gentle soul!
What a wonderful day! You had it well managed and there was no fussing. I had 5 sisters and our parents did not take us anyplace except a rodeo once a year. We had just a car where mom and dad sat in the front and all 6 girls sat in the back.
Of course you are right that regular family outings are a great idea, and they are also great content for the channel. This rocky, creeky forest was a great place to go! The most important thing on these hikes is to find box turtles, snakes, and salamanders, and I hope the boys were successful. Looks like Lydia lost her seat on the tram, but I guess she doesn't need it no more.
They had so much fun! 😄 I was impressed that Lydia kept up. She got carried at the very end but did so great all the way through! That’s a lot of walking for little legs
I'm always telling my husband to tighten the hiking pack really good around the hips. He whines, but then remembers what it feels like when it's not, and starts complaining about his shoulders and neck. We do A LOT of walking around the land and going on hikes, so we invested in a really good hiking pack. Our baby girl is the 2nd kiddo that gets to enjoy nature walks in the hiking pack. We actually hiked up the tallest mountain up outside of Gatlinburg. It took us 10 hours and my husband carried our 2yr old son at the time in that hiking pack. What an adventure that was. 😂😂😂 These family outings are the best. Thanks for taking us along. ❤
@@jasonandjulie We didn't intend on doing the whole hike. When we made it to the waterfalls, we was convinced by a couple to keep going because getting to the top is the best part. We made it to the top and just before we got there, it downpoured. We got wet and it brought in so much fog, so we didn't get to see the glorious view. Was fun being up in the clouds. They had cabins up there that people would stay in. Someday we will put our names in to try for a cabin to stay in. Was told it's like a lottery. Put your name in, when it's drawn, they call and say to be there on a specific date, and if you can't make it, your name gets tossed or thrown back in. As adventurous as we are, we would jump at the opportunity. Better wait until the babies are older so they can make the hike on their own 2 feet next time. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
years ago, I went hiking in mid-October in MO with my college cross country team, it was so beautiful. Honestly, I don't remember what park we went to though 🤷♀Lol.
How fun! What a cool way for that state park to begin! I would love going through that house! I will be researching about that gentleman. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

@@jasonandjulie yes. Treasures of a life time♥️!
My Aunt used to drive us in a 100 mile circle to visit different historical sites from the time of the revolutionary war in western Pennsylvania.
Wow what a neat experience!

I’m glad you made it all back out safely! What a fun adventure!!
Fantastic. My mom would take us out in the country every Saturday and we would climb and hike and have a great time. I thank her for doing that.

We did see bear poop along the path! And also “don’t feed the bears” signs. The bears in this area are pretty afraid of people though so that’s good!
Did you see any wildlife on your hike, lit was a beautiful day for hiking
That is a beautiful park...thank you for taking us along...
Making memories ❤
