@@shmebulocck Renovation doesn't usually change the entire roof and the layout. Load nearing walls and piping typically don't go anywhere

I didn't know how to paint the walls for ages when i first started playing the sims lol.
Yes 😭😭 i used seperate walls and it was so big😭everything was connected except bathroom and i didnt realize that i didnt paint the whole house until i realized that my sims feel uncomfortable😐

Oh for real. My first build on the sims (it was the sims three) had no roof and it was just two boxes stacked on top of each other.
I kind of really liked the tall roof and the wood paneling on the side. It was kind of giving me "A" frame cabin vibes.

And only use 1 or 2 basic neutral color for the walls, floor, roof, furniture literally the whole house.

That feel when she tries to go with what her dad ‘was trying to do’ but instead made it how she usually builds it. Either way, I kinda liked both, lol.
I actually liked how big it was and the tiling in the kitchen….. like they were supplying a different vibe than your usual builds and of course they were some of the first things to go 😅
I wish there was more of a challenge. His house looked like those modern houses on grand design, with the dark colors, warm wood paneling and high roof. But the house is a completely new one. Unrecognizable. Keeping a color of walls isn’t really much. Doesn’t matter if “he didn’t know what he was doing” - being inspired by what he created is what would make this renovation interesting. This video could’ve just been called “Building a house in the sims”. :/

I think the original triangular house scheme was interesting. The aesthetic having been entirely stripped away is a shame, to me.

I love Kayla and her builds, but this one wasn’t really a renovation. She just changed the whole house. The rules should be not deleting/changing any walls and rooms. Just changing furniture and maybe flooring. Because he said how he liked the marble floor, but she got rid of that… nice house obviously, but complete change to her dads build.
Yes. I liked the end result but it had almost nothing in common with her dad's original. I would have kept the cabin style tall roof and the wood and stone outside

Id be fine with her changing the layout a bit and the flooring as long as it kept the same vibe, I was sad to see the marble flooring and the outside second floor colors go and the game table.
Everything had a very different vibe, it feels more like a complete modernization of a house rather than faithful renovation
I wish Kayla would have kept the orange in the build, every build lately has been grey and blue and I'm kinda tired of it.

Lilsimsie's Dad makes his first ever Sims build and lets be honest, we've seen EA builds with most of these issues. Way better than anything I manage to build and I have 3.5k hours in the game! Also, being willing to dress up as Eliza Pancakes on stream to raise money for St Jude? Kayla's entire family is so wholesome, I think they are just the loveliest people.
I mean… he should be the one renovating your builds. That would be a fun video to watch.😃

look i mean, he actually out here making a layout. my first sims house was a box the size of the lot with like, random individual rooms around the edges. a bit like a clue/cluedo game board. and i was an adult.
He was going for blue suburban meets cabin in the woods. I was digging the vibes of the stone on the bottom and wood on top.

Honestly, it looks pretty good for someone who is playing the Sims for the first time ever, and you can mostly get what he was going for. Bit of tweaking and clutter and it wouldn't be too bad
I find that having the house with more room between the furniture is a good thing. Bedrooms need more room than just to walk around them or get in. It's obvious that Kayla doesn't have her Sims woohoo very often because if there isn't enough space in the bedroom, they go out in the hall or even downstairs to do the woohoo preliminaries. And if there isn't room near where you put a birthday cake, they teleport away to age up. In one house (before I made it bigger) they would teleport outside to age up!
"My parents don't have a grill currently so I'm not getting one. How about a hot tub?"
Pls make a fire station and make it a house, like the house on the Jonas Brothers TV show or the princess diary, it could be niceeee

kayla is a great builder and all, i really enjoy her videos, but was kind of dissatisfied by this renovation. i could tell that her dad was going for a more rustic, mountain-y look. the long roof could have probably been for snowfall. i liked how her dad played with the colors a bit too. if she had stuck to the style he was going for, then this would have been a really interesting build- it’s different from what she’s used to… but then she changed the house completely. i don’t mean any hate by this, it’s still a beautiful house, but i just wish she would’ve branched out a bit from her usual suburban look. the colors went from orange to blue that quickly. :/
Hate it or not a lot of people are agreeing with you. Kayla's ideas are just so repetitive and boring to the point that some her fans are tired of this suburban bs. It's a shame that she claim to be a builder in the sim but the only trait that she have is "blue suburban"

Lol, hey, I think your Dad was going for a style. A very outdated style, but a style! 70’s chateau in Florida chic! (I’ve actually driven past a house that looks just like his original build my whole life, and my friend’s house is laid out the EXACT same way- 70s FL builds are a thing of strange beauty)
In my mind this is one of the most realistic houses I’ve seen built in the sims. Like exterior and the interior layout, it reminds me of homes I’ve see visiting my family in Colorado, it just needs a basement lol!
