    I’ve switched to mostly frozen fruits and veg. I found myself not using things up fast enough and them rotting which gets expensive when you just end up throwing it away. Frozen berries cherries and mango for fruit and broccoli cauliflower Brussels sprouts are my favorite frozen veggies. Costco is awesome for all the frozen produce. It ends up being cheaper that way too.

      Yes cheaper, convenient & equally as tasty!

    Loved this video! Especially seeing your fridge, it looks like you have a great assortment there! My husband and I are planning to go back to eating wfpb (we stopped in 2019) and this video was motivating for sure! We also have a toddler and would like him to be more exposed to nutritious foods from early on. Thanks to you and your husband for sharing and look forward to more videos ❤❤

    Happy new year, Milly! Nice to see Victor make an appearance. He's absolutely right about taste buds changing. I use soy creamer in my coffee (the only non-dairy creamer at the time). It took some getting used to but I love it now. Also, the fake cheese on my pizza. I started out mixing it with dairy cheese until I was able to eat it on it's own. Plus there are more brands now so try several until you find one you like. The new Daiya one melts! Nice to see the fridge and freezer stuff and the Trader Joe's haul. You mentioned moving. A new house or leaving Orlando?

      Happy New Year Cyndi!! It's been a minute so it was about time ☺️ He used to love dairy and that was one of the biggest changes for him but now he has found his favorite alternatives and like you said, there's so many new ones now. That is such a helpful tip for new people trying to go plant based, I hadn't thought about that. slowly minimizing and mixing both types, genius! Still have to try the daiya one but I have been wanting to try the miyokos mozzarella one 🍕 & yes, we're moving to a different apartment. The one we are currently in has been a bit challenging with not only filming due to counter space but also limited storage, along with other things. The other place will also be closer to Victor's job and I think it will be easier for us to build community there. Best wishes to a happy new year!

    Hi milliy , love these kind of videos . Me and my husband are going plant base too. We just started yesterday . It's going good because we use to be plant base eaters for 3 months and then we failed but now we are back on it again. But it would be nice if you and your husband can make more videos together . If your husband can share more about what he eats during the whole day. As you know men love to eat and they never get full with a plant base diet 😂 have a wonderful blessed 2024 ❤🥰😘🙏

      Hello! ☺️ Way to go for both of you, that's awesome! It's a really great place to start all the more since you have eaten plant based before. It's really nice to have support from your spouse, so it's so helpful you are doing this together. LOL! he used to be in my videos frequently when we worked together a year ago but now since I'm at home he's rarely here. I'll ask him to join in a future video lol he does eat a lot 😂
      best wishes to your new year!

    Happy new year Milly. Thank you for another awesome video! I still have to try tempeh I’m a little intimidated by it. Can you explain what the consistency is like? I did try tofurkey and I did enjoy it in a sandwich.

    • @JoywithPlants
      @JoywithPlants  Рік тому +1

      Happy new year! 🫶
      The first time I tried it I wasn’t a fan because I was thrown off by the texture, very different than I expected. If you want softer tempeh then steaming it then sautéing it is best. For firmer crispy tempeh baking or air frying is the way to go. If you’ve had edamame, it’s kind of that texture pressed firmly together. Victor says it taste like corn and I kind of agree but it’s good! Once you get used to it you can pretty much eat as a snack 😂 that’s what I do at least.
