I believe Iyanla is the experienced professional here and every word is calculated to pull out or draw out the true feelings of Akemi . Iyanla had her use "BITCH" as a set up I think she did it to "GROW HER UP" she was still dealing with her mom as an emotionally destroyed little girl. IMO... it was to shock her and interrupt the pattern of emotional suppression. I believe Akemi and Monifah are not completely healed it's gonna take time for them both! Iyanla just gave them tools. They gotta continue to do the work.
Akemi stay strong, you have a mother that really loves you enough to let the world know her ordeals. And one day you will be strong as well and will learn to humiliation is a positive thing that a mother will do for her kids. God Bless you All!
@10:10... is #Iyanla... doesn't she...have a book that's titled similar to *that* ? ...not sure if 'book titles' can be copy-written or trademarked, in part or whole, tho... so, it may be fine. As it's said often: Most #Aquarians find it hard to be 'close' ...to some, if not, most family members. #IntimacyIssues. I hadn't seen the episode yet... just FD's & Bondy's review[s] for it... can't wait to check it out. Blissings Be to both of y'all. It is not easy to share intimate details of one's life with the world. Thankh you.
Tell Monifah that she is one of the few celebrities to come on there and be genuine, honest, own her faults and really be there to fix it. I felt her heart and they had me boohoo crying the whole episode! I don’t even know them but I’m proud of them!
I'm glad to see such a BEAUTIFUL outcome for them, blessings to her and her daughter in their healing and s/o to Iyanla.
