What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX - interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything - be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet-to-be-dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“Robux”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working.
What is the Roblox editing community? The Roblox Editing community is a smaller part of the Roblox community. It is a community of people, mainly on UA-cam and TikTok, that edit screen recordings of their Roblox avatars characters dancing. They will screen record on many dancing games such as TTD3 and Emote Legacy. Then they will add effects and velocity to their videos. Some popular apps that Roblox editors will use are Adobe After Effects, CapCut, and Alight Motion as well as many others. Some examples of Roblox Editors would be Qualo, ITSMANNAL, and Luhvbott. Please note that not all Roblox Editors are the same and each have a special and unique editing style.

I think UA-cam just isn’t recommending any editors. But one thing I hate is when it’s usually just a repetitive edit of the same one over and over again. But it’s nice that there’s a lot of new editors every day.
It depends, trends are really fun to do and a lot of new (and old) editors find trends easy to do since they dont need to find an idea
Trends are really important for it not dying, and there are a lot of potential ones, but more people need to recreate (and credit when they do ofc) videos, and make the community more interactive 😄

Don't give up your passion! Just because school is in the way. You can make time to do editing even if it's 10minutes of spare time you can turn that 10mins into an edit in the span of four days. Plus if anyone would like to they can steal some of my edits if you're stuck on what to edit lol. @@Pastelteamx

Hi, I’m Doyaru, a beginning editor, I’m a new Roblox editor and I’ve come to notice that this community is dying. I love this community by heart and wants to save it. Many famous editors such as Qaluo (this is NOT hate, she is AMAZING!) are moving towards content that is requires less editing, such as Qaluo’s “my friends sing…..” series, it is an amazing series, but as an editor myself, I feel less attracted to these content and for me it doesn’t feel right, (it might for other people, I’m probably just a weirdo.) And the thing is, many famous editors(I’ll say this again, this is NOT hate, they’re truly amazing ppl) are editing less, maybe because the community is dying or such things, and I want to state here that I do understand that they might just be going through a hard time in their lives and wants to let go for a while. But I really feel like that this community is missing something, and I think that one thing is, everyone is trying to go against each other, possibly to be the “editor.” But there is no such thing, as “the editor” so I think that what we need to do is work together instead of being really competitive against each other. So I am wondering if any editor would be interested in doing an event where we all edit together and post weekly for just over the Christmas season for fun and to bring this community back to life. (I’m taking a little break off of UA-cam right now so I can’t really do the event right now, but maybe later into next year)

I agree! and a lot of the famous editors that I watch used to make amazing edits, but now are moving towards more basic trends and catalog videos

I totally agree with what you said. We can see our editing community dying slowly and its not okay. I find it annoying how editors like: luhvbott, has 1 million. her edits now are kinda bad, and she doesnt really show effort, and editors like piinkblinks used to be a 2021 icon and a 2022 editing icon. now all she does is catalog edits, and there not good. as a person with 3k subs who takes LOTS of time to edit, i just get nothing for it. i can post the BEST edit and ill get nothing for it. I could not agree more with everything you said in this video. I’ve been on UA-cam for around 3 ish years now and I’m on the verge of quitting because the editing community is just so so dead we see no new unique content creators blowing up anymore and most typography and advanced edits getting less and less views. The only things blowing up are either catalog or trends that all have the same elements: same avatars, songs, certain quality and even editing software. If you don’t edit with after effects, don’t wear a specific style or have a certain quality then your edit will simply flop. Also the “preppy” editing community is on the verge of completely dying. EVERY single preppy editor has either quit or just never posted again. I’m not sure what to do now i find it so unmotivating.
As a beginner for Roblox editing, I appreciate this video so much! And yes it is true that people r getting braver and braver for commenting hate comments instead of encouraging beginners to keep editing and make them feel good. Different people have different feelings, some people are very sensitive with them so if even maybe just 1 hate comment they can actually quit, especially for the beginners. As well for popular editors got lots and lots of hate comment too but they have alot more supporters than haters so supporters will back them up! So in my POV, haters will stop commenting hates on popular UA-camrs. Instead, they will comment on unpopular or beginner UA-camr to make them feel bad or whatever. So maybe next time if you scroll through a an edit with lots of hate, either comment a nice comment or back them up like what Kate said!
I’m super happy I’m more of the smaller editors, as I don’t get any hate, and people are mainly kind to me. I feel bad for everyone who is getting hate, it srsly brings down mine and their spirits…see y’all when I’m hopefully famous..

1. DONT LISTEN TO HATE. they’re js trying to get u to quit, which will contribute to the roblox editing community slowly dying.
2. edit what u want, u don’t have to do basic trends. take ur time on editing, it’ll be worth it.

as a roblox editor, I completly agree with you and I also (kinda) have a problem with the "nothings new" trend (the ones that are saying the editing community is dying). so if you have apperently never heard of the nothings new trend (roblox editing community style thing idk) its basically where ppl say things like "the roblox editing community is DYING" or something like that while dancing in the background along to the music (itd be easier if you just search it up because im bad at explaining). the problem I have with it is that saying that the editing community is dying isnt gonna do anything, it just makes the situation worse and worse because ppl think the community is already dead so editors will just quit anyway

I’ve started feeling rlly unmotivated and I’m not posting a lot cuz I’m in between the choices/thoughts of quitting or not.
Most people’s editing videos are mostly put with loads of effort while those mm2 videos of just shooting a pixel gets millions of views, just for shooting a pixel while others spend hours to edit.
I would love to see this community come back without dying tbh.

I think the biggest reason for comunity dieing is beacuse that most of people are getting older are are busy as getting older and older, the editing especialy with roblox is getting bored to them and tho us, The famous editors who are less and less posting are most unlikely to start an trend now days, and people with good ideas cant really start a trend cuz most of them arent really popular. With all the hate and stuff I mainly think that these are the reasons comunity is dieing.
This is unfortunately true, I used to love roblox edits but its got quite repetitive, I loved edits from people who used gfx in edits but those editors have rapidly declined or just quit. Great vid btw!

As a editor, this is litterly summed everything up perfectly!! So many people are just doing the same trends over and over, and these trends are all the same, just velocity, flashes, shakes, with trendy songs. Also templates and project files have become more prominent in the community and most of the time these "edits" gets more views then people generally working hard on their edits. Also i feel that if people started trying different styles other than velocity then the edits could be more original, like transition, candy, typography, and so much more! (I mianly edit in typography but im trying newer styles) Another thing is that newer editors arnt getting the love and support they deserve, lots of newer and underrated editors are quiting mainly because they are most likely to be hated on because if their low sub count, and they dont have their video pushed out to many people (thanks youtube algorithm). I genuinely hope the community can stay strong and stay alive!

As a Roblox editor I can say that this is true. And I feel like all of the original edits have only a few likes and the less creative ones end up on the fyp. and sometimes I'm pressured to do trends that I don't like just to gain followers and stuff. but most of all THE HATE COMMENTS, ppl are so mean on my videos and other people's videos, and it's getting out of hand. I know a 6/yo editor who has gotten threats in her comment section like: "delete this or I'll come to your house" and stuff like that. I just feel like the editing community on Roblox used to be so much better and now I'm even thinking of quitting. 😔

Hello Kate. As a roblox editor, I did realise this happening. The repetitive part I’ve seen by one of my friends. She uses the same song and avatar constantly which I now find pretty boring. As for me, I use the same hair and faceless but nothing else is the same. I would want the death for edits to stop when possible. Tysm for the tips and this video. Love u ♥️😊

I agree with every inch of this video!..
What I could add on also is how busy people are due to age and other things.. one editor could start out at the age of 14, now they are 18. There’s a massive age difference. In the uk at the age of 14-15, you are preparing for GCSEs which may take up anyone’s time. By the time you hit 18, some people quit as they’ve thought they have grown out of it. People with exams never have enough time to edit. Personally, I’m starting to become the same (im a teenager myself, still have 1-3 years before I start my GCSEs).
I am a believer with patience when it comes to views as my edits are getting less views; I know it’s not my fault . But at the same time, it’s really frustrating when you make a simple edit that get 5k views in 30 mins and when you make an advanced edit, you get almost nothing… (I’ve tested this myself)
My physical health is somtimes preventing me from doing editing much due to the amount of tension headaches I get from my absence, atonic and focal Aware seizures (getting looked at for epilepsy)… after any major seizure episode of the type of seizures I have, I’m that fatigued I can not do anything.. I can’t even get out of bed because I’m that tired.. at the same time, I am not too sure if I have nocturnal clonic &/or tonic seizures, it dosnt matter, still, the next day from a Focal Aware episodes that Involve Motor jerking, I can barley move my legs as I pull a muscle that easily from it..
Another thing I can link to loss if interest is Mental Health. Personally, this is what I relate to the most.
To be honest, I have delt with a lot of mental health issues. My major depressive episodes (getting looked at for bipolar) make me lose interest in editing that much it feels like I’m forcing myself to edit.. through out 2023, my mental health has honestly been that bad, I was close to being admitted to a psych ward. I have delt with that much S.H and
Su!c!dal ideation last year it felt unbelievable. I’ve almost attempted myself… unfortunately… I am doing okay don’t worry, I have been getting the help I need for my recovery.. >> I’m not gonna say… but… yeah… that’s why I feel like I’m forcing myself to do it as there’s nothing else for me to do.. I have 1.76k+ subs and I don’t want to loose much to an extent where it makes my feelings of paranoia even worse.
Life is chaotic these days and it’s hard to handle… let’s hope this community lasts atleast another year…
i havent made a roblox edit in around 5-6 months but i would love to return to the community bc editing has always been fun for me. another reason I think ppl might be quitting is bc roblox took away shaders, and honestly shaders REALLY helped some of us (my quality now looks horrible without them). But I have noticed SOO many editors have been quitting for the past few months and i rlly hope we can revive this community

I COMPLETLEY AGREE! as a roblox editor, another thing i notice is that in 2020-2021 there were alot more complex edit trends like he or the sun, reality is lemons, etc but now everyone just makes velocity edits. I like those kind of edits but sometimes it gets repetitive..

Yess I toatally agree like sometimes ill do trends but like also for most of my edits ill spend up to an hour finding a good song and an emote that goes with it but it keeps me interested bc im putting more effort in and its more fun and I also dont have many subs or videos and a lot of hate but like its easy to ignore for me personally and I dont let it get to me
well, I'm a Roblox editor and my sister is too. She's kind of good at editing but even after putting many tags her videos barely get 3 or 4 views. She just quit a few months ago and is planning on coming back to the community. Well, I on the other hand don't edit for views or money but for fun. The one prob abt the vid is you have to try to look into why they have the same avatars? whats in their head while making trends ? Why they are hating? Why do we like pro's more than beginners? That kind of stuff and your vid will be perfect

As a retired roblox editor we do need to get roblox editing back on top. I’m tired of us Roblox Editors/Creators getting low amounts of views/likes and many hate comments. I hope we can all somehow bring back the roblox editing community back- great video tho

I absolutely agree on this, as u can see my pfp is a "GFX" I'm trying to make a new editing Roblox channel :) sometimes I go to yt and search for some Roblox edit ideas so I could get used to the Roblox editing community, and every single time there's the same videos, sometimes I search editing videos ideas Roblox and the same videos appear, sometimes it's kinda annoying to new Roblox editors including me, i have been tying to make creative roblox edits since a couple months but idnt have he opportunity since i couldn't rly et used to capcut, nowim making my firt edit :D an its rly confusing but im sure ill get used to it someday i hope i can make the editing roblox community a little bit bigger now :D
As an editor i can officially say that the youtube algorithm doesnt push out roblox edits like they used to. All of acctualy good edits are from extremely underatted editors.

The last months/weeks I started editing gacha bc I kinda lost the interest bc the community was literally dead, but gladly im working on roblox edits again! And trying to make original ideas (I kinda suck I dont have imagination lol).
Abt trends, I like them, I js hate when ppl steal others ppl vids and claim as theirs, or js copy everything. Out of it i think its alright!

Yeah sure, everyone’s roblox edits are flopping, including mine😭. BUT I am not going to accept that and I say we keep posting!!! Heres how to fix it! Please read it ik it looks long but it actually isnt!

Haters, Say you make an edit with a slender avatar! No matter how good the edit is, there are gonna be a lot of people just complaining about it, people are just jealous and they will complain about anything. Most of the haters don’t understand how much work and time a single edit takes, especially when you use after effects (or even capcut). If you aren’t an editor or someone who watches edits often, you will just see a lego person dancing and that is what haters base their whole thought on. How to fix this? IGNORE THE HATE AND DONT RESPOND, ITS PROBABLY A 5 YEAR OLD.
Overratedness, Okay most editors out there make amazing edits like vKvnzo, itsManal, B3leyy and Bunviun…But they are the ones who usually do good but still don’t get as much as they should. In a different category we have Zoethenoob, Xiaoleung and Luhvbott. These people could post a freaking black screen and get 2k comments saying SLAYYY…Sure they make amazing edits most of the time…I see a random unedited thing with music and 2M likes…Sure give them a break but like…At least when i see that kind of thing… I am just like what is the point of my channel’s existence!!! If you see something like that, don’t leave a hate comment just let it be, you don’t have to help but don’t hurt. Our next category is what causes many good editors to ruin the community…
The clout farm switch…Many editors have done it such as Rebooted poppy, she doesn’t make edits anymore because she found a low effort way to get views and likes. All you poppy fans reading this, I have to tell you something. Poppy doesn’t like god! She pretends to by making fake videos, then she will say something like subscribe if you love god, and of course you kids do it, she is using you for likes and lying about breaking her leg and stuff for likes and to make people feel bad. When I see this, I almost want to quit my channel completely. Others thoughts might be like “Why put work into making edits when I can do this?” This is how Rebooted poppy, Clownxiao, Ringheads, Juiliet Mime and uwucutesingle came to be.
4. TEMPLATES…do I even have to explain this? 0% effort stuff bro, but also please stop with the “OMG CAPCUT TEMPLATE!?😱😱” when it is clearly ae lol.

UA-cam gives people views based on how many comments and likes there are compared to the views, if you get 4 views and all 4 people who saw it comment, you will probably get more views. If you see your favorite editor posted a new short with CLEAR effort, then drop a like and a comment to make them feel good and show you care! This will give them more views and more confidence.
For the editors.

Don’t make editing like a job, be happy about what you have gotten, even if it’s 5+ subscribers instead of 100+ like your usual…its still something, you are supposed to enjoy the channel, if it flops then who cares, you did your part, you subs didn’t do theirs and it shouldn’t effect YOU. If you don’t feel like posting, then don’t post because it isn’t a job, it’s something for you to be proud of and show off to your friends, not something that if it flops you feel like a failure. I may only have 500 subs, I have confidence and I know I deserve more but the fact that I even have 500 is cool. Your channel can only do good, if a single short doesn’t get views, it never happened alright? Your channel can only gain more and more, a video flopping won’t bring your subs down, it will only keep them the same or go up and you know that. Its a win win there is no loose. If you feel like it then keep up the great work!!

I agree on this sm. I'm one of the ppl that have quit, I've moved on from the roblox editing community (now in the dragon puppets community).
I think it's more of bc I haven't been motivated, like you said, the trends that blow up are all the same, every original idea I make just flops.
I've seen some of my fav editors switch to non-edits or post less eg. qaluo does a lot of "my friends sing ___" instead of edits now, Cutecookiegaming switched to making brookhaven skits, while other editors like Darkkhayden, Softastigal, futureneverlands just started posting less frequently.
I think all of this is just making a lot of the editing community lose motivation... I joined the editing community in 2021, and I gotta say it has def become a lot more toxic and unoriginal.
The fact that most famous editors use after effects to make those cool edits just makes me wonder if it's even possible to get that popular without it... After Effects is so expensive idk if a lot of us editors can afford to pay that much per month.
If you ask me, I don't think the roblox editing community can go back to what it was like it 2021. Peaceful and understanding? When we have all this...? It's sad to see it in this state :(
Hey! So abt the after effects thing, there was this famous yt named KatsHaven who used CapCut! She was doing very well but then got hacked :(
@@CakePopKateohh that's what happened to her. I was looking for her a few months ago bc she had a tutorial i needed to change the color of the sky on CapCut but i thought she quit 😭😭
@@m1ntxyy. I use Ae for my edits and I still hate that trend! (I used to use CapCut for my edits and still use it for my long form videos) It’s so offensive to actual CapCut editors!
@@CakePopKate Ik there's some editors like CHDX or Daniel Edits who are rlly good at making capcut/alight motion edits but from what I can see, majority of the popular editors use after effects (qaluo, cutecookiegaming, vkvnzo, futureneverlands, jxeycharmxo etc.) It's still very discouraging to know that most of your fav editors you look up to use after effects while the average editor can't and I just wished we had more popular editors who edit with some other software to be an inspiration to the roblox editing community

I agree with EVERY SINGLE point brought up in this video. Especially the gate keeping which app you should use. “Oh U uSe ImOvIe? ArE yOu FiVe?” is a reply I get a lot. Just because I use iMovie, doesn’t mean I’m “fIvE” or “StUpId.” I just use it because it’s the one I chose and NO ONE will change that fact. Sorry for the rant, I just felt like venting it all.
As a small roblox youtuber i've had experience with this and plenty have others....its sad to see the community qutting because of this....I think big youtubers should talk about this like nancy and the fact half of the ppl in the editting community only have likes because of their 3D animations i think us small youtubers need to take charge and actually make videos more and more to keep awareness spreading... kitsubee quit making animations already..the community cant lose anyone else (if your a small youtuber and reading this make vids to spread the awareness its gonna help) thx!

I agree too... Almost all my friends quit because of this and the preppy editing community and roblox editing community is so dead rn... Such as my best friend lavxdaisy she never posted again for 5 months :c
As a Roblox editor since 2021, its honestly really sad. The community in 2021-2022 was amazing! I made so many friends and memories. This year ive managed to get heaps of subs and also get way better at editing. Seeing my childhood just die, its making me unmotivated. I got interest in the show total drama and made a channel called ‘LuhvLindsay’ and that channel BLEW UP. in just a few weeks. And by then I just gave up on this channel. My edits on the LuhvLindsay acc were pretty simple, but gained more views in one video than I have in general on this channel. But spending HOURS on edits for this channel jsut got me a few views. And now thats why my channel is pretty dead. Im trying to revive it and I hope we can get the community back in 2024. Merry Christmas and happy new year xx

you spoke TRUE facts. Now im gonna spread this to EVERY editor i know , so we all fix this community together , whenever i see hate comments in someone's edit i always help and say kind stuff! , the roblox editing community is what makes people PROUD to be a robloxian! , i always loose motivation but i keep my heads up and never give up , i get hate every now and then but that doesnt stop me from doing the thing i love!:) now there is a BIG problem in the editing communtiy.. and it triggers me and unmotivates me.. , its when underrated editors get SUCH LOW amount of views and likes and recognition and overrated editors get LOADS of views and likes and so much recognition. That pretty much is my problem, its just wrong and messed up tbh.. like people try SOO hard and spend LOADSS of hours on a 30 second edit,and get 6 views then other people just put some effects and they get 1k views- LIKE WHAT?- i dont get it really . I hope that changes one day , it will make everyone feel soo much better!❤ thank u soo much for doing this video
I AGREE SM ONE THE UNDERRATED EDITORS GETTING SO LITTLE VIEWS. I'm not gonna name names but some the other day I saw so many edits (not even edits basically js capcut effects jumbled together and auto velocity) with over 10k+ views and than we have editors that take HOURS into making edits and still barely get over 100 views

another reason I think why the community is so toxic now is we have a new generation, kids/teens half of them are just trying to life their life while the other half is just trying to be cool. they think hating is cool so they do it, another reason is most of our popular editors are only posting every few months, most of these people are 13+ so it makes sense they wouldn’t have time to post, some just want a break. everyone does the same trend and it’s not fun anymore people don’t use their creativity as much as people used to back in 2020-2022. it’s also because people think Roblox is for kids not for teens and adults, but it’s not we have older UA-camrs but that’s the Roblox community not the editing community so really it’s mostly the hate and toxicity our society has become.

i try my best to make edits but most of them dont get a lot of views, however recently, i got around 5k views for just a simple sheriff victory edit in mm2. this just makes me think that im spending way too much time on edits and i should make more simpler edits.
As someone who started 1 yr ago I can comfrim that all the hate dose discourage me and no people inspire me to make my own edits I did just start to make different videos to save my channel

There is a difference between criticism/judgment and flat out bullying.
I personally believe that criticism can be good and can help you get better at editing.

And its also greenscreen kids and adults that are ruining youtube. They just steal vids and get 55k views with 30k likes while the creator worked hard but just 4 likes and 6 views.
