So you installed a SIM Card in the Luba 2 but provided NO information as to Why ? Does it increase the communication Range between the RTK Ref Antenna and the Luba 2 ? Does it enable or enhance Theft Protection ? Does it provide Remote control capabilities or enable the Siri or Google Home abilities. Is there a need to buy a Data Plan for this SIM Card or can it just be added to your T-Mobile acct ?
Why did you bother to install a SIM Card besides just to see if it could be done ?

The card was removed from an iPad I had on my T Mobile account. As to why, I'm not super worried about theft, but yes, that could be a reason to install a SIM card. My reason is so I can monitor the mowing progress without losing communication. I live on an acre and my WIFI isn't strong enough to reach all parts of it. Also, I lose WIFI signal going through the metal garages, so I'm hoping this might help that problem. Since the SIM card is for my iPad, if I see no benefit, I'll throw it back in the iPad. However, if you do a search online, there isn't much information on adding one, so that is why I made the video. I'll make a follow-up video once i do some testing and explain why it is, or is not working for me. It'll take a few weeks for me to test.

@@scottysize Thanks, that's why I'm so curious about the SIM Card option, because Mammotion has given No or somewhat cryptic info on what or how it expands the Luba 2 capabilities. Mammotion advertised the RTK (Real Time Kinematics) communication Range w/ the Luba 2 vs the Original Luba went from 394ft (120 meters) up to 3 miles (5,000 meters) but they didn't say how and I suspect they need "real time" cell tower communication to do this.
That little black antenna that attaches to the underside of the RTK Antenna used a 900Mhz signal on the original Luba, so either they Greatly increased the wattage pushing that signal out or they're using Cell Tower communication. I wish Mammotion would stop being so cryptic over How to use the SIM Card option. Anyways, I have a New Luba 2 3000H sitting in the garage that just arrived yesterday and so I expect to see a Lot of UA-cam Reviews in the next few weeks since they are now being shipped. Thanks for the info, I'll be looking forward to your assessment on the Luba 2 and how the SIM Card improves your experience.

@@uuzd4s I'd say you've read more on it than me. I can say, I keep having to restart the mower in order to get the SIM to work. i haven't received an update since opening the mower 3+ weeks ago. Kinda wish they'd give us an update to see if it solves some connection issues.

@@scottysize Yea, that'd be the case w/ the Luba 1, there were more than a few "Firmware" updates initially after it first shipped and that Mammotion is Still providing updates for the Original mower. Autmow's YT channel had some info on that.
I watched every UA-cam vid, on the Original Luba, that I could get my hands on last October in order to take advantage of any possible "Black Friday" sale they might try. They did go on sale and I bought a Model 3000 from Amazon because they matched Mammotion's sale price and their Return policy was good until January 31st.
So the Luba 1 sat unopened because I'd already watched 15 different "unboxing" vid's and didn't see a need to open it until the Lawn started to grow again. Then, in the first week os January, Mammotion sent me an e-mail announcing "Pre-sales" on the New Luba 2. I contacted Amazon that day & within 24 hrs the Original Luba was on its way back to Mammotion's warehouse. Two days later I was issued a full refund & I Pre-ordered a Luba 2 w/ the promise it'd be shipped by late February. I saw somewhere, during February, that the Luba 2 first shipments were pushed into March and so I e-mailed them and got a polite response back saying this was True. Sure enough, in the first week of March, Mammotion e-mailed me again to notify me that the Luba 2 had shipped and That one is still sitting in the box.
I see that Mammotion sent out a few Luba 2 mowers to Reviewers, like they did w/ the Original Luba. Their website has the New features outlined & a few promotional vids are provided but there's no info on what the function of the SIM Card is and what's needed exactly as far as a Data plan. The Autmow channel I watched yesterday just confirmed my assumptions on how it works but they didn't elaborate much.
I have a neighbor who just injured her hip and she can't mow her yard anymore. I'd like to know if I need a SIM Card & data plan to allow the Luba to mow within the advertised 5,000 meter (3 miles) range of the RTK Antenna, or if the SIM Card is only for Theft deterrence and Remote control via Siri & Google home.
It's about a month away from Mowing season around here and it's likely someone will have addressed this question in an upcoming review.
      Thanks for the reply.

Yes. It definitely helped. I lose WiFi all the time, so the SIM helps. I have a pond that formed in my backyard, so I had to remap it. I was nervous about it driving into the water, so I turned on the camera and watched it now. Never lose video. Worked flawlessly.

I purchased Luba 3000H (4 inches) My App cutting is only going to 70mm and not 101mm. Is anyone else having this problem???

    • @scottysize

I don't have the High model, but you should be able to adjust the cutting height in the app after you start. Just choose the settings on the right side of the screen that look like 3 dots and lines.
