Being a pageant fan, I have never supported and stanned a PH candidate so hard as I did with Catriona- and today she proved me that I had nothing to regret. Today, I watched this for about six times already; the first two I cried and as I watch, I still continue to be teary eyed because every play feels like the first. I became so emotional because out of all the past delegates, I have never encountered a candidate who possessed so much nationalism like Cat. I, as a Filipino, am so proud beyond words for having someone to represent us on a large scale. You have redefined my meaning of Miss Universe. It isn’t just us cheering for you and that Philippine sash anymore but it is you and the rest of us carrying that sash. You have turned a competition into a celebration; of people, of culture and of love. For that, you are already a queen even without the crown.
