Glad you like your new-to-you Topwater Old Town 106. I have the same one in the newer Sportsman 106 version. Love it! 😎 you got the Skunk off of the new yak first thing! Tight Lines!
The Sentinel is awesome , I have a pedal yak but use the Sentinel for a quick grab and go , I changed the seat out in the Sentinel , it's all good now...lol
Dude if you did is James that used to work at go glass I now work for Dave's Auto Glass and I just bought the new Sportsman 106 today I picked it up Saturday
I bought the same one for my channel, you are right being cheap on a kayak is not the way to go safety wise. Where abouts are you from in Ontario im in ottawa.
I mean, I think they are like $1600+HST new now in Ontario/Canada, so depending on condition, if you can get it for anything less than $1800 you're probably not doing too bad! If memory serves correct, I think I paid $1000 for this one and it has been incredible!
@@FishingOntario It seems like this is this is the kayak for me, like this video, many other kayak anglers are saying great things about it. Plus, the stability while standing adds a lot of flexibility. Just curious if you find the bulkiness of the kayak to ever be a problem (75 lbs seems pretty heavy)? Thank you brother
@@mitchellmoris4658 it’s such a good package for the $$$. I had a Pelican before, and it just blows the Pelican away as far as stability, fishability and build quality. It is definitely heavier, but I can carry it solo no problem - for longer distances I just bought a cheap kayak cart on Amazon and it does the trick. Loading it onto a rack on the roof of a car solo might be a little trickier, but my fishing buddy does it with his 106 on to a civic no problem, just gotta find a technique that works for your body. I would recommend this yak to anyone, I love it.
I'm pretty sure I remember your name is Kyle how you doing man I haven't seen you in a long time I'm going to subscribe for you to help you out and I just bought a 2022 Sportsman 106 CDL
What do you currently fish out of? Kayak, Canoe, Boat?
Lol man Canadians crack me up 😂One liners for days!
Fuckin’ eh right bud!
I love my topwater 120pdl. So stabile for standing. I’m a 5’10” 250 lbs. not a problem. 🤙🎣
I wish I could run a pdl, but too weedy around here.

I knew it was you! Good to see you and old Dave are still kicking it
Motion sickness starts at 2:35 :D
It’s like a fun carnival ride, but free!
Good fishing man.
Thankyou!

Yeah man, hindsight is 20/20 I guess! I’m in the London area
@@FishingOntario nice man I’ll sub congratulations nice content.
Thanks my man! I will do the same in return
Is this Mill Pond? London native, one of my favourite spots!
As another London Native, I dont think it is... Or his Camera makes the area look larger than it actually is
Yep! That’s the spot
He’s actually correct, Mill Pond, Dorchester.
@@FishingOntario My eyes decieve me! Love that theres a local guy doing this. Subbed for sure.
Eh thanks so much! It’s what keeps me going. Glad some locals are finding me.
You haven’t made anymore kayak content in two years haha.
I know! Been to busy trying to fix broken boats to do any fishing lol! I'm hoping to get the yaks out soon
I couldn't even watch this past the 2 minute mark
Cool man, appreciate you giving it a try!
What would you consider would be a good used price for one of these yaks in Ontario?

Have you put any anchor system on?
Not yet, but perhaps this spring!
How stable is it when you stand and is it easy to paddle?
Very stable, and it paddles reasonably well for its size/weight. Not going to win any races, but it gets around
Nice review, and while actively fishing helps put things into perspective.
Thanks man! I really find it so much better when a review actually uses a product rather than just read the specs off the website
