    What a great looking little truck. I have the Vaterra Kalahari that run those tires I find them not bad. Could be a little softer. They should work pretty good with this truck.. Thanks for the update.

    I just bought one of these for my son, has been a very tough truck so far. I tore it all apart to oil every thing and do some maintenance sense he’s always playing in mud and water with it. I was presently surprised the only plastic gear is the spur gear and no bushings. The diffs and hubs are all ball bearing.

    Great job and video. Only one suggestion. Install a set of Proline Trencher 2.2" tires. They are made for the E-Revo 1/10 scale but with very minor trimming on the Chassis and body they fit perfectly and the performance is unbelievable. And these huge tires look awesome on the Teton.

    I bought the same esc and motor from trackstar, but i hade a simple question.
    Did you use the original screws to mount the motor? If not waht size of screws did you use? M2,5 ?

    AWESOME BUILD!!! I am waiting on 3 Jeffies to come rite now. 1 for the kid,wife, and myself.just a thought for your loos fit towers.... try drilling out the threads then shim and put a nut and bolt.. should mount good and tight then.. Also I was wondering what you think of putting a team associated brushed motor to replace the stock one? do you think it can handle the lipo without burning up? I would rather go brushless but 3 brushless systems..... grrrr lol I should have kept the hobby a secret lol

    I love my Teton but this upgrade is a must, and I was really hoping I could see you do it and hear your thoughts afterwards.
    Maybe next time now you've gone brushless?

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  9 років тому

      Yes, I know the diffs aren't very strong and although they do ok in stock form, there's a good chance they'll designate with this system. I will show the results and then install the diffs later on. Stay tuned...

      @lsear2905 9 років тому

      Aussie RC Playground that's awesome, because there's so many different opinions when it comes to upgrading them... Most talk about the RC18 diff, but for a $100 truck I wonder if it's worth it...

  • @peytonthomas4179
    @peytonthomas4179 9 років тому

    Sorry if I'm having a brain fart..... But if you change the motor and ESC do you have to do something with the remote to make it GO :)
    Plz answer

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  9 років тому

      Peyton Thomas Nope, the remote is not directly related to the motor and ESC, it merely sends a signal to the ESC & servo so you can go fowards/backwards and left/right. You can connect any remote to any car regardless of what power system you have in it.

    • @MrTimmyGT
      @MrTimmyGT 8 років тому

      Lunchbiz I just picked up a Latrax SST, everywhere I read everybody keeps saying to upgrade the crappy plastic diffs....but when I open mine up they are metal?? Are they actually referring to the spider gears inside the diff or am I missing something here?? Only plastic gear I see is the spur gear which I've already ordered a steel one

    • @Lunchbiz
      @Lunchbiz 8 років тому

      The whole assembly minus the metal ring gear, Here is a picture of what comes stock in the Teton, the output gears for each wheel are what wear down fast.
      algolia-rcplanet.netdna-ssl.com/9931/Traxxas_Differential_Assembly_Complete_Gear_LaTrax.jpg
      I ended up replacing both differentials with the Latrax solid aluminum spool part #7581. Still turns great, performs a lot better off road now.
