Hey guys thanks for watching! slight issue with the render around 12 minutes in! gonna tinker with my settings to see if I can reduce the likelyhood of that in future!
you know with atm you can user a hammer to double ores manually and with copper in abundance you can easily make 2 copper blocks 3 sticks and you make 1 copper hammer to double raw ores :P
Sorry sophisticated backpacks are superior to travelers
Quick tip, when using ultimine you can shift scroll through options one of which is mining tunnel that mines stairs for you instead of random pattern
Also ontop of that, no matter what shape you do, it only ever mines up to 64 blocks
Yeah the mining stairs tunnel shape is such a good feature. I always loathe digging stairs down manually all the way to -58 with just a Stone pick, takes so much time.
This "farmhouse" is classic Sjin. Considering it's on a highpoint, I wonder if the farmhouse should have a multi-leveled porch to emphasize the height.
The farmhouse looks nice! A piece of advice for future schematics builds is to use Structurize's placeholder blocks for the ground beneath. I noticed that your builder mined some stone only to replace it with dirt that would then be covered anyways. There's placeholder variants for solid blocks, fluid blocks, and air.

All the mods 9 is absolute insanity. I went out looking for a single piece of andesite for the tavern, and after looking over rocky shores I decided it would be smarter to look in caves. 2 hours later: I found an enchanted diamond chestplate in a random underground camp, a bunch of osmium, enchanted gold tools, golden apples, and 3 iron pickaxes and even an enchantment table but not a single andesite. Meantime, because this cave was near my colony, npc’s were just dropping dead and I was cycling through random names.
I ask the nearest person irl for help and he tells me to look in a nearby cave to the one I searched. Low and behold, I now have half a stack of that sweet sweet andesite.
Farmhouse is the name, and it's very pretty. Also, a tip, Create has the schematic cannon, if you would rather place schematics without having to rely on your builder.
nice farmhouse Sjin! Who would have thought the builder would turn out to be such a valuable tool to build otherwise difficult builds in survival this way?? I can't WAIT to see what you get up to using this ;)

if you press J to open the map screen, then go to options, minimap settings 1, you can change the font size for the coordinates and make mobs on the minimap appear as icons so you can see what's nearby

Ore hammers are a great way to double ore early on, and the dusts can be combined in a regular crafting bench for easy alloys. They cost two metal blocks to craft so they're hardly free, but take any advantage you can.

randomly found your channel in my reccomended after finding tutorials on really old ftb modpacks lol. man i remember watching your old videos like feed the world. hope youre still doing good! since i first watched ya ive finished middle school, highschool, bought my first car, got my first car totaled, and working on a game from learning unreal engine on my own. really glad to see ya still doing stuff and i hope life is well my man.

I know its a little too late, but for maybe a new gameplay, you can double your ores really early on. Make a copper ore hammer!

Love the "Farmhouse" and the tip about designing our own structures. Looking forward to that video too. I like the general design of the house and the multi-levels. Like @olseagoat said, multi-level porches would be a lovely addition to leverage the view, add some depth and places for fun decorations.

at around level 16 mostly where tuff is also located, you'll have the chance to find a huge iron vein. Never found a gold vein though.
it would be really cool if you made schematics of some of the 'let's build: a kingdom' series buildings
9:23 Even easier way to get iron in modpacks that have it (Like atm9 does), is making the Iron Farm from Easy Villagers. Kidnap any random villager you come across by sneak-clicking them with empty hand, put them in the single block sized Iron Farm, make a hopper from the first 5 iron it generates and enjoy having plenty of iron to kickstart the other mods that all seem to require it.

Love these minecolonies series....
i know im watching this late but quick tip for everyone unaware you can (Shift+ ` ) and scroll wheel to change the Ultimine setting. theres a load of different mining techniques like making a regular mining staircase or doing 3x3 tunnels and even 1x1 that you can turn into the regular 1x2 or 1x3 strip mine tunnels :) hope this helped someone and saved time
I like your farmhouse design Sjin. Personally as I don't use Minecolonies, I like using Create's Schematiccannon instead to build stuff for me when I don't design and build it in survival myself.
That info graph is really handy, i did not know emerald was better found higher up.

The one thing I hate about minecolonies is the specific block requirements. Like, why do you need specifically *spruce* stairs? Do you see any spruce around? *gestures wildly*
It's okay in vanilla, but when mod packs add so many new resources which your colony has no need for, it can get frustrating

My vote would be to pay homage to the late great Alyssa Jack the builder from your last minecolonies series.

you may have wanted to place the farmhouse the other way, that way you'd both get to exit your front door overlooking the ocean, but also can overlook the city center from your wrap around balcony

you can just place the pickaxe(minecraft) to crafting grid to turn it into pickaxe(silent gear) works with wood, cobble, iron, golden and diamond tools

ore doubling in this modpack is really easy. you can just make a hammer and use in in a crafting table with the raw ore to get 2 dust that can be smelted into ingots.
I really like your vid style: the overall chill style and voice work, definitely the time lapse stuff. Your Feed the World stuff is what brought me in. Time lapse builds means it's all there and I can slow it down if I want to see the nitty gritty. (I have no idea if that even applies to this vid, but I don't generally have the bandwidth to track down where it would best apply. Sorry 😊)
THE FARMHOUSE LOOKS AWESOME SJIN!!! Your the best builder ever. You somehow make even the empty cave in the first episode look extremely good even tho you had just dug into a hill. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK 🎉

Nice Player Farmhouse building. did you make 5 levels of the Farmhouse for upgrade by the builder to do?. what is Next for you colony? Will you do a train system for your colony and research the Ride the Rails goal for your Colony again? Will you Make a Style Guide for your Colony or just switch back to a pee-made style guide from the list in Mine colonies? When will the tavern building be made ? For thous who follow your series will you post the World seed?
Hey yep seed is in the description but you’ll have to generate the world in atm9 version 0.47 and then update it after if you wish
