I haven't heard such a blues since long time. Wow this man is fabulous. The way he plays ooh God. It hurts and its beautiful . Thank you to exist ❤️❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖💖
That solo makes my face tighten and crinkle up like it's trying to avoid completely melting off. He's the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix in my book. Amazing guitarist!
He 's amazing.. he's is the future of the blues in 2017 reminds me of what Robert Cray was to the 90's,...but his tone and distortion on this is fkg awesome...(do you hear a sort of "Voodoo Chile" in the riff? )
its not that the crowd is dead, they are all fixed on the band not making noise until after the performance...its actually quite nice not to have some dumbass screaming in your ear during the performance, you have to remember this is not a justin bieber concert
Everyday nothing seems to change. Everywhere I go I keep seeing the same old thing & I.. I can't take it no more. Everyday nothing seems to change. Everywhere I go I keep seeing the same old thing & I.. I can't take it no more. Oh, I would this town but I ain't got no where else to go. Wake up in the morning, oh, more bad news. & I.. Sometimes I feel like I was borne to lose & I.. It's driving me out of my mind. I'll catch the next train & I.. I'll move on down the line. Whoah I'll be ready now. I'll be ready when my train pulls in. Whoah I'll be ready now. I'll be ready when my train pulls in. I know my time ain't long around here. & I can't live this life again. Walking down the streets you might run across a smilng face. But they'll stab you in the back as soon as you turn & walk away & I.. Oh Lord it's bringing me down. If things don't change around here, ain't no use in me hanging 'round. Whoah I'll be ready now. I'll be ready when my train pulls in. Whoah I'll be ready now. I'll be ready when my train pulls in. I know my time ain't long around here. & I can't live this life again.
I will be playing Clark always. He friended me on Chris Baldwin Scott site. After a short but nice visit he unfriended me. I know and love my musical family, many of them he knows. It's cool. He is a great player.
+W Bales That's funny. I'd missed that drop even after viewing this amazing video several times. Thankfully he was able to continue without missing a beat. I used to drop mine pretty often as well, until I started using Cat Tongue brand picks.
@@Orlando-go1tb uhhh i don't know, but i can't see the pick waaay before that moment and also the switch tip was there and after that it isn't. It may be any of those two
Man Can bring it.(Anyone else feel a lil'Chuck?..esp@'SHOTGUN'-"A Lil RnR")-@G.Clark.jr.live)Being A Lover of The Blues..Yes Sir Theyre in Excellant Hands!.Indeed..
Horst574 OK, cool. to each his own. I kinda like his guitar style. it's like old school blues, but vamped up with a modern sense to it. I think the distortion works well with it. but I understand some think it's rather boring
Gary clearly has some go to riffs in the solo's of all his songs but he also improvises a lot. Never plays a solo exactly the same as before. Sometimes he really knocks it out of the park with an epic performance and that's what you are hoping for.......but sometimes it's not so impressive. For me the solo in this video is a bit disappointing. I love the way he performed it at Glastonbury. But personal taste is not open for debate. To someone else perhaps this version is their all time favourite.
In Wellsburg NY close to the PA boarder sits a panel box truck for sale the guy sold one and has one left. They belonged to the guy that owned Lewis mail he passed away and his son is selling off his trucks. The one he has left he wants $3500.00 for it it runs good it has very little rust on the cab and box panel the brakes and tires are good on it the gas tank is in good shape the windshield wipers work the windshield is in good shape where t sits it will be easy to drive out. You can buy it and use it to haul your band equipment. Or you can buy it and resell it. At $3500.00 there is plenty of room for a profit. At auction a used panel box truck can easily sell for $5000.00 to $6000.00 sincerely fan of all music Robert Gildea
The first time I watched the program Guitar Session Center on Direct TV was 2014, & Gary Clark Jr. played a song called $ When I leave this Town" I took my LGMS69 4G Smartphone and as in a Class atba local Studio "Access Sacramento Cable Ch17/18 TV & Radio Programing Productions, I held my WebCam in all angles, days later I found 400,00 thumbs up!
All great bluesmen would be satisfied with Gary for continuing their legacy.
The future of the Blues is in good hands.......That music is from the soul.....

That solo makes my face tighten and crinkle up like it's trying to avoid completely melting off. He's the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix in my book. Amazing guitarist!
He encapsulates the blues,as well as well as Hendrix
That pick dropped 4:49 and still comes out to be an amazing performance!
The brother is fierce!
Tone and phrasing perfection 🎶🎸💥
Gary's great at the psychedelic blues.
Merci à vous Gary . 🎸🤩👌
Whoever produced the black and blue album is fantastic great mix and drum sounds I'm gonna get him to do my album 👍

Totally
I hear "Hear my train a comin"
Please don't compare the riffs or draw a similarity. You're doing more damage than good by doing that. Every riff is beautiful in its own way.
He is definitely soul speaking
Man I dig this cat this is straight up badass!
He jumps in my soul and swims @ 7:04
its not that the crowd is dead, they are all fixed on the band not making noise until after the performance...its actually quite nice not to have some dumbass screaming in your ear during the performance, you have to remember this is not a justin bieber concert

Faaaark that is just so good.
Hell yeah Gary! Getting better and better :)
Amazing .. what more can you say xx
Some of the riffs here resemble the solo from Led Zeppelins No quarter :) I love how music is all so connected.
You nailed it. I was thinking exactly the same.
Once, a musician told me that every musician is a sum of all his influences and more ;)
Outstanding !!!
Saw him live 2 months ago & he is AWESOME!! On my feet & dancing the whole time!!
It doesn't get any better than this...
Soooooooo awesome!

Lol he totally fumbled his pick at 4:50... I do that all the freakin time.
+W Bales That's funny. I'd missed that drop even after viewing this amazing video several times. Thankfully he was able to continue without missing a beat. I used to drop mine pretty often as well, until I started using Cat Tongue brand picks.
I know this comment is 5 years old, but i think that he never had a pick, what he dropped was the switch tip
Damián Neuenschwander nah, you can see at the beginning he has a pick
@@Orlando-go1tb uhhh i don't know, but i can't see the pick waaay before that moment and also the switch tip was there and after that it isn't. It may be any of those two

Pentatonic and distortion king :)
Horst574 bad thing? or good thing?
:) Both...I don`t like his guitar playing too much, but I like the songs and his voice.
Horst574 OK, cool. to each his own. I kinda like his guitar style. it's like old school blues, but vamped up with a modern sense to it. I think the distortion works well with it. but I understand some think it's rather boring
it is not rather boring for me and my favorite from Mr. Clarke is "bright life" :)
He has Zeppelin in him. Well done.

Totally understandable ,what I DONT understand , is , Why isnt EVERYONE dancing ??? !
He’s vocal is other than the blues. Different style.
The Show.......
My dreams, I play this song in my guitar, Now Om
Badassery incarnate.
This man is a pentatonic hero :) but I like it.
Horst574 Oh man...again? Really? Pentatonic hero as Rory, Hendrix and BB King.
Hexatonic on this tune actually. Or maybe Aeolian.
chef brought me here!
Nice
All Pro 😎
Gary,
"Oh Well"
That shit is filthy goodness

If Slash was a blues man.
This would be him.
Song starts at 1.18.
