I cry every time I hear this. Sappy, I know, but it is what it is. He is a very humble person. His dad was in prison, and his mom just took off, leaving him alone on the Phillipine streets at the age of 7. He started singing and entering contests thinking he could find his family. I followed him on AGT and couldn't get enough! To say he's phenomenal is an understatement!
Is really sad that when he is kid 😢 with nobody by his side. I can't imagine how he go through all this. But I'm really happy for him now.
What an incredible talent. I'm way down the rabbit hole of Marcelito and The Prayer. How many hours can I spend listening to this song. Tears are always flowing and I'm getting his healing power. I understand he's a really good dude. Blessings, brother. Mabuhay.

We Filipinos love to express what we feel through singing and we do not care what people say, we just sing. This piece done by Marcelito is called "Doble Cara" popularized over a national television and has consequently become a craze in singing contests even in office Christmas Parties. A singer usually a guy, wears 2 part costume (male and female) so he can switch sides depending on the character he portrays as he sing. You can check out his take on Con Ti Partiro and Beauty and the Beast in America's Got Talent. 😊 His duet with Morissette doing his version of Secret Love Song is also worth watching.
Btw, have you seen Katrina Velarde? Her impersonation of 5 singers using only one song and with a baby in tow. Katrina also did an impersonation of 21 singers (Filipino and international singers) and her along with the Budakhel in "One Sweet Day".

Guys, others may have told you below, but I needed to tell you a couple of things. He has albums in which he does double overlay recordings of famous duets, harmonizing both parts. They are mind-blowing.
Also, that thing he does with his mouth after the song is because the sound engineers were teasing him about his "female" voice so he was "removing" it. Hilarious.
Great reaction. Many of us have followed Marcelito for years - he is such great person, so humble.
