@@bobwhelk2118 I work for a tree service, we have a bandit 500 and can chip trees up to 12 inches in diameter. It doesn't happen often, but we have chipped 80ft trees in one long go.
Unless the wood is damaged or rotting, I've never understood the chipping. It can be used for lumber, furniture, or even firewood. Please don't waste wood.
It’s a time sensitive issue. Especially on residential jobs, people want the stuff out of their yard. So chipping up the tree is the most time sensitive friendly method. Organising the lumber to be picked up and dropped off is expensive and time consuming
i realize our country is built and sustained with wood but it’s still sad to watch an old old old tree get chopped down. looks dangerous as well, be careful.,..
I agree, however sometimes trees become sick and they no longer have any use to the environment and can also spread the sickness to other trees around it via roots. So they have to be chopped to save the entire forest but yes I hate it when they cut trees that don’t have a reason to be cut
Here’s something you might not be aware of. The UK buys “biofuel” from Canada and USA. This is basically chipped wood, trees that possibly could be used to make things. Anyway the “biofuel” travels across the ocean by dirty diesel ships. The country of origin pays the “environmental tax”on the biofuel which means the imported wood chips are considered green non polluting fuel. It’s a strange world we live in.
I've never seen a whole tree fed through a wood-chipper before...WOW! And the Chippo 801 is just obscene...all from the back of a truck. Otiss this stuff is scary.
Honey before open that chipper make sure you do whatever your boss says and do not go near it without a safety equipment because I had to learn the hard way that if you are not going to wear the safety equipment you will surely suffer the consequences the truth hurts I agree with you about that but anyway my concern is your safety and your well being 🎶 Shannon
It IS some kind of firewood, here in Europe we burn the chips for example in special facilities called Blockheizkraftwerke. They store the chips in large storing places and feed them into large ovens. There water is heated and then delivered to communities. Some hotels in the mountains also have this kind of heating. As there is every part of the trees chipped, almost nothing will be wasted. Greetings from Bavaria

I do know that Germans never waste anything, as they squeeze out what is usable. That is why I asked my question. Danke
I work for a Tree service removing dangerous / dead trees on residential properties in NC. We generate so much material, that chipping is the easiest way to handle it and take it off site. For big jobs we bring in a log truck for the stem wood of a tree. Another thing to note is that all of your pine species are too sooty for use in home fireplaces, so unless the pine trees are big enough to use on a saw mill, chipping is the best way to go.
Depends on the species and application, your seeing a compilation of a bunch of different chippers, chipping for different applications, some of these machines are working to provide wood chips for pulping for paper production, most of the others are just disposing of the trees in the most efficient manner possible. Also that first tree shown in the video is unrelated to the content of the chipping video.
It’s a renewable fuel source for power plants. Boiler fuel. Diamond z grinders is all our company runs and produce more tons of materials per hour than any other grinder on market.
For most tree services, this is the easiest and fastest way to handle a lot of this material, and all of your pine species are too sooty to use for firewood in houses. The tree service I work for does save a lot of wood for firewood, but for anything 12in and under, it goes into the chipper.
Amazed by these eco-smart forestry machines!
That first one the cut was very smooth.
that chipper eating the whole tree is amazing, it must have some HP.

I think they get turned into wood chips for playgrounds and stuff

I'm also quite sad because a tree trunk that has been standing for hundreds of years is now simply cut down by them!

So Wood Chips are worth more then a 2x4 because a lot of that wood I will turn into Good Building Lumber.
There’s plenty of trees out there they can make into lumber

That tree was nice and straight and growing out of level ground - couldn't it have been milled? Big waste of lumber, or at the very least firewood.

Context man, we don't know where the tree in the first video is from, might be in a sustainable forest and it is up for harvesting now.
