Hi Gary glad seeing you out there doing what these were built for to be driven hard. Can't wait to get my rs back on the road after winter it's been a long wait.😢 keep up the videos. Cheers mate 👍
I just wondered whether any of you guys had purchased a space saver spare wheel fir you mk2 , if so which one and what size , as I do not have a spare and want to get one asap , have seen some on eBay , but I’m in sure as to which one , ??
@@leestromaine7651 might be wrong but I think any mk2 focus space saver will fit on the rear of the RS. If you get a puncture on the front just swap with the back👍
Absolute banger of a video! Simple, but it captures the essence of owning a Focus RS mk2 and the enjoyment that comes with it. I'm 17 at the moment and I really hope I get to drive or even own one of these someday. Thanks for the video, mate!
Hey man thanks for watching! I know the feeling, at 17 it was a dream for me to own a Fiesta RS Turbo - a year later I managed to get one! But they were a lot cheaper back then than what a Mk2 Focus RS is now ☹️
@@CarFocused Yup, the Focus RS is pretty pricey so I dont expect to get one in the coming 10-15 years. And by then, they will probably be even more expensive and rare in a good condition. For now, my goal is to buy a Mondeo ST220 around my 18th birthday (December). You can get a pretty good one for 5K so that is achievable. So the RS is on the list, but it will take a long time!
Hello mate great to see you out in the beast again. You can’t beat a blast in a car you’re at one with to lift your spirits or just make the day and yourself feel better. A price can’t be put on that especially with your mk2 Focus RS. Looking forward to you going MR375 too mate! 👍🏻👌🏻
This car is special indeed. You go from feeling a normal person one minute then getting in this and feeling a million dollars 😁 Look forward to catching your next one mate. 👍
Brilliant to see mate, i can’t think of any other car that dishes out such an incredible feeling, hopefully taking mine to Norway this year for an epic trip out ☺️
Hi Gary glad to see you out doing what theses car's were built for to bee driven hard not covered up. Can't wait to get my RS on the road after winter. Keep up the great videos. 👍
Those reactions and smiles from when your full boost is exactly what I do 😁😂. "Ohh s**t" is usually the phrase as my ST still surprises me how quick it feels on full boost. 5 pot greatness fantastic stuff mate 🤝
I was meant to leave a comment on your last video but never got around to it. I have always been a Ford fan, and I always wanted an RS Escort when I was a kid. I had a mk1 focus 1.8, and when I heard the RS was coming. I just knew I had to get one. When I first saw the mk2, it became my goal in life to own one. I remember in 2009, sitting in an ultimatum green RS with the green cloth seats in a showroom and knowing it was going to be the only thing I work my ass off for. I was in the showroom sadly, signing 3 years of my life away on a diesel fiesta zetec s and not the RS I had just sat in. Am 37 now, and nope. I've never owned a set of keys to any RS. However, I am saving up and currently sitting at £2300 and I intend to be purchasing one in the next two years.
Brill cars , had a couple in stock at work over the last 2 months (UGreen&White) so had to drive both lovely to listen to that 5 pot when putting your foot down 😀 saying that ive got a mk8 fiesta st with mountune 235 & that is great fun on a roads
I have to say white is the best colour for the RS. I like the green but just a bit to in your face, and the blue is just too ST if that makes sense I love the way your car is OEM+ and how they should be so many have been ruined and a fairly sound investment
Hi Gary, stumbled onto your channel as I've just bought a white RS, just like yours but totally standard out of a 1 owner, private collection. It's in Ford having a bit of a recommission. Despite very humble beginnings, I've worked hard and have owned a few old skool, fast fords, Porsche 911s and even a Ferrari but I am always drawn back to the Blue Oval. I originally wanted another classic RS2000 or RS Turbo but I think i'd end up more concerned about corrosion (had that feeling before with an Etype) I also think the market for 70s and 80s cars is a bit overheated at the mo. As people get older the classics demanding higher money shifts with it I guess. The Mk2 RS just looks so special and the need to keep on top of little things as they crop up, works for me too. Anyways just wanted to reach out and thank you for the content. Do you leave links to some of the upgrades you've done? I'm specifically thinking the springs and spacers set up you are running, which is subtle, but looks great. Also, my car has a bit of corrosion on the aluminium rocker cover from when it was left out at one stage, any ideas on getting that back to stock (in situ) or sourcing a replacement. Thanks - your passion for the motor shines through.
Hi mate, thank you for the message. Good to hear you’ve made your way into Mk2 RS ownership. They are special cars and a pleasure to own 😊 I use eibach springs and spacers. The spacers I use are 15mm front and 20mm rear. With regards to your rocker cover corrosion, you can either buy a cover plate from the likes of mountune, or try some autosol polish on it 👍🏻
Just needs a bit of adjustment on that arch liner, MK2.75 Focus ST did mine for me, something to do with the screws at the back right behind the wheel I think
I’ve tried mate but can’t quite get it right. Jonny at FJRS put some small clips on the edges on the other side which cured it, need to do it on this one. I think Ford used foam strips on the edges to bulk it out a bit from factory on the RS but they wear away over time and pop out 🤦🏼♂️
Bollocks to those who criticise storing it away for the winter. It’s the only way to hold onto it. Cars like this will never be made again. 3door, manual, decent engine that growls and snarls. A raw driving experience. Cars now are becoming further and further removed from this. There’s nothing to look forward to, so yeah if you want to hang onto it garage it over winter and don’t wet weather drove it either I would say.
They should prescribe a drive in a mk 2 when you want a pick up after a crappy day a work. It works for me 😂
Mate it’s literally the best remedy for when you feel a bit down in the dumps!😃

@@leestromaine7651the space saver is a smaller wheel. It does fit on the back only I think. I just got a spare full size in the boot of mine.
I'm 70 in a few weeks love to get mine out always puts a smile on my face makes me feel great
That’s awesome 😊👌🏻✌🏻

Yea man this gets a good thrashing over the summer 👌🏻👌🏻
Nice to see you out enjoying the car, using it and putting a smile on your face. That's what it's all about. Enjoy.
Thanks mate 😊

I’m going to be like a dog with two d*cks when it’s done 😂😂

I think we are lucky have to these cars , the drive is Phenomenal, was out today in mine, had a massive grin on my face all the while I was driving it
They are special cars 😊
Look forward to you getting the 375 kit fully installed...👍
You and me both!
What an epic and passionate video mate. Loved it.
Thanks mate. Hope you’re good 😊👍🏻
Had a similar drive in my ST the other night, first time out in the sunshine on quiet b roads, the noise and torque really make me laugh.
What it’s all about 😊
Epic car, great video 👍🏼
Glad you liked it!!
Lovely car mate I’ve only a mk2 ST even I keep away in winter just keeps it nice 👌🏼. My plans are for a RS one day in UG 💚
Go for it!😊👌🏻
Pleased you got to got out in it and share it with us. I’m still daily driving my mk3 RS, so happy motoring 👍🏻
Enjoy it 😊

You’ll love having the MR375 map 😎

Wicked video Gary! Good to see the RS on the road again, assuming you’re going for a Collins pump?
That's the plan!👌🏻
Car looking good as always
Thanks 👍

Mine makes me smile even when I’m feeling down.
Always Keith 😊
Great suff as always, love the MK2 RS and your videos. You need to upgrade the fuelpump for the MR375 ?
Yes you do mate, the 6 bar Collins pump is a suitable alternative 👍🏻

Love it...
Can you do the mr375 with stock injectors and just upgraded pump or do you need uprated injectors also?
Just upgraded pump for MR375 👍🏻
Does the MR375 transform the car Gary? I’m thinking of getting it on mine.
Yea or does mate. Did you see my recent MR375 review?
@@CarFocused yes I did mate so probably a daft question and with you getting it on your it must be a big difference worth doing.
With the MR 375 do you have to have all Mountune Parts or can other parts be used similar to Mountune eg fuel pump I have is the airtek upgrade one ?
The Collins fuel pump is the one to use mate. Not sure if the airtek one is compatible…
Thanks mate love your videos keep them coming
Cheers from Australia
This was like me on saturday in my PB MSD340 map, propers cars.
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Hope u are well? 👍
All good here thanks matey 😊

Summed up perfectly mate. Preserve to use is my motto!
Good choice not driving the car over winter as the salt does too much damage 👍
Absolutely!
I have a st and roads around where ilive absolutely shit it’s either speed humps or pot holes.Only decent run is getting to race meet .
😢
no, there is no car like it :) It makes no sence, but also so much sence.
Exactly!
Has the weather been that rubbish?! Oh yes it has been...
ABSOLUTE DOG SHIT 😂
Don't really need an excuse to drive it and summers on the way
If we have a summer
