Would you recommend the small classic flap or the rectangular mini? Mostly for use as a crossbody!
From what I have seen, the small doesn‘t really fit more than the mini because of the double flap taking up some space.
Julia Noëlle Yes I’ve heard that too! I’m just wondering about the strap as I’ve heard the small is too short as a crossbody and the mini is too long as a crossbody 😅
Tina Gill the mini is long in terms of the strap drop, but it’s not ridiculous. It sits at a really comfortable spot on the hip on me (5’5” for reference). I’d personally go for the rectangular mini and save almost $1k! 💕
You had to pay for the price adjustment? For the level of quality you've already paid to have, they should have given you a new bag for free
Jaz Z I don’t she did because she said the fault the bag had was from production which wouldn’t require her paying for the price adjustment but I stand to be corrected though 🤷🏾♀️
I didn’t have to pay anything, it was an even exchange. They adjusted the price of the new bag to be the old price so that it was just a swap!
Alyssa Lenore the SA said I had to pay for the price adjustment. I purchased from boutiques at Saks, not sure if that’s their own policy.
I‘ve had my fair share of Chanel quality issues. The stitching on the back of my Jumbo has come loose after only having worn it 4-5 times. Kinda sucks when you drop so much money on a bag but fortunately Chanel took care of it.
Ughh, I’m getting flashbacks of my experiences where I purchased and returned two brand new classic flaps from the boutiques. 🤦🏻♀️ They both had issues - one with a popped stitch and the other with bubbled lining. I got so tired of it and wound up going vintage instead! So glad to see you were able to exchange for a beautiful one! 💕
CHANEL medium double flap bags are made in France.
I too, had quality issues when I purchased my Jumbo through Neiman Marcus four years ago. The grommets were tarnished. At the time, the cost of the bag was $5500, now it is $7100-geesh. The issue I have with CHANEL is their handbags are increasing rapidly in price, while the quality has worsened. I am not sure why people continue to purchase full retail price for CHANEL handbags, but the company needs to address the quality issues, especially with the continuous price increase.

laylacelestex didn’t have to pay! They adjusted the new price back down to the old price so that it was just an even exchange for me.

Question: How do you not scratch your bag with long nails? I scratched my Prada once and almost had a heart attack! So when it comes to my CMCF I'm super careful with it and it can get very stressful LOL!

I got the same bag in October before two price increases. And I didn’t pay taxes too! So I saved a lot of money for sure. I filmed the unboxing also. Love your videos! Enjoy the bag, it is a classic💕
How much before? The prices increased way way too much. It’s about 8,200 or 9,500 for the medium. 😢😢

Alissa, would you have believed them if when they opened, she had said, we have currently zero mediums in stock? That actually happened to me, no issues at all with mine, it was for different reason, but SA offered the same as they offered you, she did send me a screenshot of the computer that had zero in stock. Then, had the option to stay with it or return it;).congrats on your bag it is beautiful!!!
Samorga has had terrible customer service. Lots of people are missing their organizers and were ignored when they reached out. Samorga said they’re not sure when they can ship to the USA with the pandemic going on...hope you get yours!

You are not asking me, I know, but wanted to let you know the medium doesn't hold all that much. Especially if you have to carry reading glasses, etc... so for a first flap I would go for the medium if I were you.

Now I have seen "A Million" black leather, classic flaps in gold hardware but this ONE .......... it looks immaculate and very very special. it does not look like all the other million ones that I have seen. BUT I guess when you purchase NEW it makes a difference. I Love It, glad you made this video. do you have any advice on how to find an SA when there are NO boutiques in my area (IN MIDWEST OHIO).

Just got the same bag! Mine is from France too. Had to exchange as my 1st one came with no protective hard cover and there were scratches all over the turnlock. I was able to go in to exchange and I snagged a new one that came right off the white box like yours. Only thing is the 1st one was a lot puffier so I was sad but my 2nd one looks exactly like yours in puffiness. So I feel better now haha. Thank you!
Hey Alyssa ☺️ was the fraying on the chain there already when you got the bag or did it appear After Using the bag a few times? I also got the M/L Classic flap and Now I am checking the Chain all the time and saw that there is some minor fraying on the chain but I am Not Sure if this is normal „wear and Tear“ 🙄

I got both and I think Gabrielle in new medium is very practical... but I bought medium classic flap as my first chanel purchase since it’s super classic and good investment :)
