Great video! I love your content! I have a 2002 Silverado 5.3l that's boosted with lots of extras and yes you pretty much might as well leave your toy at home in bad weather it's no fun to drive lol
It’s a Pro 5.0 . And it’s not intercooled because it’s on e85, it keeps the cylinders cooler. I don’t really need an intercooler with how low the boost is. You don’t need one on 6lbs and I’m only at 8.
Hey I know you just got your car going but I’m sure you talked to some people running that turbo as well / how dose it make the engine perform temp wise dose the motor still run the same temp just under the hood is a lot hotter from the turbo ? I’m looking to add boost to my boss 363 but I drive my car a lot in the summer time almost a daily driver in the summer an like to go on trips once an while with it what is you opinion thanks 🙏!
Hey! So we did the turbo kit in the middle of summer, I’ve cruised my car in 90+ temps with no overheating issues either. Just some basics about my car.. it’s a stock 302, 76mm precision turbo , on e85, and Holley efi essentially. It has AC and no heat, and I don’t have an intercooler. I would say with everything I listed above combined my car runs safely, with no overheating issues, now do I have alittle heat soak? Maybe..but my cars temps are where they should be consistently. My car is on e85 because it keeps the cylinders cooler and keeps my engine temps down , so that’s a plus! I think the biggest thing for you is going to be tuning (I love my Holley efi) , whatever fuel you plan to use and having a good fab guy, install, and making sure your wiring and everything else is good to go. My car was a much tighter squeeze because I have AC and power steering still, but I think your 363 with a turbo would be fun! Good luck!
Glad you safely adding boost, once you get better weather you can get some serious pulls in to see what she does.
That’s the plan!
