My trench coats are only water-resistant, and they have tons of details: buckle belts, cuff straps, etc. that I often don’t want to bother with. Also, this coat is simple enough to wear casually, too, like on my rainy day exercise walks. A great find!
I bought this year a wonderful coat from a brand named hess natur. It's a coat made of 100 % camel wool classic style, so beautiful long and slim, I love it.

How to build your wardrobe when we're the last demographic to be served in terms of size inclusivity, because there are fewer of us than petite or plus sized sisters. X
I love viscose or rayon linings, they keep one warmer than polyester, but because they’re breathable they never cause sweating or overheating, which I always get with poly. I’ve been searching for a wool coat with a non-polyester lining for years, but this one is pricey. I’m also not crazy about the single size.

Send that Jigsaw maxi coat to the cleaners soon, it has several spots on the right front, above the waist. Or, you could try spot-cleaning which often works. Like most people, you probably only get them cleaned at the end of the season, normally. They might set if left too long🙂

Not sure why puffer coats are not that popular in the UK? Is it a style thing? I know it doesn't snow that much there but given it does rain there quite often those water resistant versions should be quite suitable.
If there are marks I will go over them with a warm damp cloth (and/or any specialist cleaner depending on the fabric if required) and then aside from that give them a good steam occasionally 👍

I would say so, especially if it is a little oversized and you are able to fit a nice chunky knit underneath but it will depend on how much you feel the cold 👍
@@EmmaHill I have a long black wool coat that goes down below my knees and wearing that coat with a sweater keeps me warm, I normally wear it when it's up to 7 degrees above freezing, I normally wear 2 layers of clothing (a long sleeve turtleneck and a sweater) under my wool coat, I also wear leather gloves which keeps my hands warm

We currently have Aritzia in Canada that have puffer jackets which are responsible down too. Mine is a M and I find it slightly oversized so can fit jumpers underneath although I wouldn't be able to get really chunky jumpers underneath so it would depend on what you wanted to wear with it 👍
I used to have one that I picked up second hand but it was a little too oversized for me so I let it go to a new home. I do think they are really nice coats but I would always look secondhand when buying a maxmara coat (just personal preference) 👍

I would say you could wear it in a light shower but nothing more than that 👍 I would opt for my rain coat if it was anything heavier (or at least have an umbrella with you 👍)

You could sew buttons over the stitching of the snaps (sorry, American here) to disguise them, but keep the snaps for the closure!

Do the Arket puffers leak down? What I mean is do you find little find down feathers on your sweaters after taking off your puffer? Thank you for sharing your coats!

I would say so, especially if it is a little oversized and you are able to fit a nice chunky knit underneath but it will depend on how much you feel the cold 👍
@@EmmaHill I have a long black wool coat that goes down below my knees and wearing that coat with a sweater keeps me warm, I normally wear it when it's up to 7 degrees above freezing, I normally wear 2 layers of clothing (a long sleeve turtleneck and a sweater) under my wool coat, I also wear leather gloves which keeps my hands warm

Yes it went to a new home. I love oversized but even for me it was a little too oversized 😂 🙈

Hello Emma. Your coat collection is just beautiful! I really love the raincoat with the hoodie. Love the A line. Hopefully Arket will deliver someday overseas. They have beautiful things. We currently have Aritzia in Canada that have puffer jackets which are responsible down too. It get so cold in Montreal that the puffer is great to keep you warm but can’t wait for spring to wear my trainers! I missed them 😔 Can’t wait to see your curated coat video. Thank you. The pups are doing well (loving the new open spaces - they saw a bunny for the first time a couple of weeks back and lost their minds 😆) A few people have mentioned that Arket now ship to Canada (although there are customs fees) so I don't know how they compare to aritzia prices now 👍

Mine is a M and I find it slightly oversized so can fit jumpers underneath although I wouldn't be able to get really chunky jumpers underneath so it would depend on what you wanted to wear with it 👍

I used to have one that I picked up second hand but it was a little too oversized for me so I let it go to a new home. I do think they are really nice coats but I would always look secondhand when buying a maxmara coat (just personal preference) 👍

I would say you could wear it in a light shower but nothing more than that 👍 I would opt for my rain coat if it was anything heavier (or at least have an umbrella with you 👍)

No I let that go to a new home a while back as even though I like oversized fits, it was a little too oversized (even for me 😝)

I have never actually had a rains (although I had been eyeing them up previously) so I couldn't compare quality I'm afraid sorry ❤️
