WOW to this post btragal.!!!...this one is ESPECIALLY interesting...thanks for the close up photography, of course the wonderful Songs, the Musicians, Backup Singer and Van Morrison. GREAT !!!
I so love to see Van Morrison get a chuckle with his songs "Feel my thigh." And they say he never laughs. Oh yes he does!. Yeah he is an Ulsterman, tough as nails with an Irish sense of Humor.
This beautiful piece of Van live explains why I've seen him more times than any other artist. The way he just carries the song in any direction that suits via a scat style lyrical sense. The poets talk of streams of conciousness and Van kinda' displays that
11/26/13 Beacon Theater IN THE GARDEN WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RENDENDATIO OF THAT SONG. TOOK ME BACK TO A FEW PEOPLE I MISS, ON A SOUL LEVEL. VERY EMOTIONAL FOR ME AND MY TEARS WERE FLOWING!!!
I am here because of Dion. Of all things, yes, Dion Dimucci... I heard Dion say his wife loves Van Morrison. Apparently Dion has a new album of collaborations and Van was one of those. Well, I hate to admit I only knew Van Morrison from Brown eyed girl and Gloria from 1967. Omg, I am in awe, complete awe. I listen in the morning, watch vids and interviews each night. He is mesmerizing, remarkable, and stunning. The bands are so tight, he definitely is the leader, though. I love what he gives to us. Thanks, Dion! I cannot get enough of Sir Van Morrison. Thanks, to UA-cam.
Thanks for watching. Quite a coincidence because not long ago I discovered this fabulous version of Dion doing AM&J from Joe's Pub in 2011. It just knocks me out. I had friends over and put it on expecting them to feel the same way. They were lukewarm. Then I put on a version from 1968 which they liked. Go figure. I love his acoustic guitar playing on this and compelled me to check out other recent shows. And will check out the new album! ua-cam.com/video/Pu2EBYyPns0/v-deo.html Dion AM&J Joe's Pub 2011
While we are chatting, my absolute fav singer is Sam Cooke. I love the fact that he was an influence on Van. I saw an interview yesterday where Van said Sam influenced his early writings. I'm all in! Both superb talents from God!! Both Van and Dion admit the influence that they received from Hank Williams as well. I find it all so interesting and cool. It's history....
@@btragal ....oh yeah I've seen it! 👍😁😉 It's so sad that there aren't many videos of Sam and what there is, well the quality is not that great! I listen too Sam Cooke nearly every day for many many years, but he's been replaced by VM for oh about a month now. Lol
Thanks for the post, btragal. Van just keeps getting better and better and Better... and BETTER ... with each new passing year. Thank you, Mr. Van the Man, for a lifetime of unbelievably fabulous music.
How far from the stage do you think this was shot from? It makes me crazy every time I listen to this that people are carrying on a conversation in the background. Why go to a show if you don’t want to listen to Van?

This is the place we will go and see Van Morrison this September!! I am so anxious to see him.
He's a genius - from someone who also grew up in the backstreets of Belfast.
The legend Sir Van Morrison, his songs reaches the soul. ❤️💚💚🍀♥️Xx
Beautifuly expressive melodies encapsulating love! Fabulous ~ ... Thanks for sharing ! ;-)

You can hear the guitarist begin the song "Gloria" right at the end of the clip... : )
Gotta include "Ancient Highway" in title here, btragal. Thanks for posting these Van videos, btw. Great stuff!
