In this video, The Walkers, Nikki and Dave, show leadable steps to a dance called The Carolina Shag.
The first thing Dave wants to discuss is called a side pass. The Walkers visually demonstrate the move, then explain that in a side pass, partners change hands on steps 1 and 2. On step 2, the lady passes by and turns. She knows when to do the turn due to the man’s lead. The pull through is a technique during the side pass that makes the changing of hands look smooth.
