I purchased these air plugs and they do very little to reduce the sound levels of the majority of sounds. What they do attenuate is very high frequencies, such as cymbals on a drum kit. I bought these on spec (NRR32). Whilst these may reduce the sound level on SOME frequencies by 32dB (eg a ride cymbal), they have very little attenuation on the frequencies that generate a lot of noise (eg, machinery & engines). As a motorcyclist, being able to block the wind noise when wearing a helmet is my goal, these Ultra Soft Foam Ear Plugs from Mack's have very little attenuation, thus I cannot personally recommend them for anything other than wasting the money spent on them.

+Jonathan Gonzales Thanks!
Hi, Do you recomend these to someone who studies in a very loud place with car traffic? barking dogs? thanks in advance
I think they will certainly help. I would also recommend the Sleepbuds if you can afford them: amzn.to/2J0PeJg
Hi Sid! Can you wake up to an alarm clock with those?
+Mary Cullen I have, but it depends how deep of a sleeper you are.
Do they work if someone is snoring
Are they reusable or disposable?
You could possibly get a couple uses out of it but then you would wanna throw it away.
After how many hours do our ears start hurting with these foam earplugs
I love the SleepBuds! amzn.to/3qUSz06

You are not supposed to insert earplugs into your ear canal. It causes damage to it
