I feel like the hair is a bad excuse. There are so many work arounds, she could wear a hat, cut it short, dye it a different color. The creator's must have had another reason for removing her.

It's so bizarre and frankly pretty messed up that Disney seems to be specifically replacing redheads in that way. As far as equal representation goes, It doesn't even make sense if based on American or western nation characters. Nor does it make any sense when based on whatever culture and time period the characters had originally stemmed from. It's such blatant pandering at this point, and it's just outright insulting to the audience's intelligence. Worst of all, it doesn't even add up in the company's favor. Disney has been absolutely hemorrhaging money for years now, and are nonetheless still leaning on the clearly losing strategy of bastardizing their existing IPs. Makes you wonder if ESG and $oros kickbacks are being funneled straight into the CEO's pockets as bonuses, all while they carelessly tank the company by pushing this sort of nonsense.

Honestly, the romance could have just been short lived. After a few dates they could have realized they really fit together and had a mutual break up. At least that was my idea for why she hasn't shown up since that episode of HoM. Also she could have just went to a different collage for EGM.

He goes to his father Goofy, who is now married to the librarian from An Extremely Goofy movie, for advice. He insists his son will one day find true love. With trial and error in the dating world Max gives up. He ends up at a coffee shop sitting alone when then enters none other than Roxanne.
But what's interesting is how well it fits (though extremely goofy is already a moment where they probably broke up) if you notice goofy got a picture of him and Max graduating collage in the Christmas movie
To answer your question, my answer is yes. And Twice upon a Christmas was one of my favorite Christmas movies growing up. Christmas Maximus was a good one. Goofy and Max’s bond became stronger than ever after Max apologized to his dad for being a jerk to him. As usual, he was afraid Goofy might embarrass him but Mona really liked Goofy. Everyone loves a funny person after all, so he was worried over nothing.
I thought Roxanne did have a cameo in an Extremely Goofy movie. She just had a different haircut. I recall she was the retail worker and even held the banner for team Max. I've yet to see Disney confirm but it looks like her to me.
What I find funny about Ducktales is that I remember there was a background character in the first episode that looked very similar to Roxanne and online joked around that it might have actually been her.

She could have been the moral boost max needs when he is feeling down about his dad being better than him, she could have been the glue that kept Pete, max and Bobby together when it seemed like the universe was going against them. That would give her character purpose, meaning and character development, maybe even have her be part of the team, pick on of the events she could have been involved in. All it takes is a little bit of creativity, and drive, the imagination can go far.
I think even if it was a break up, they could have had a short scene where he looks at a picture of Roxanne and his friend encouraging him that he will find someone in college and that it is a new beginning for him. It could have been brief and then immediately excited about going to college with his friends. The good part could have been a letter near the end where they graduate and meet up for a date. It could have been a brief scene. It would have been adorable for Goofy and his wife to meet Max and Roxanne.
Funny enough she may have actually showed up much earlier in the duck tales reboot like the very first episode. Granted the colors not 100% accurate but if you look at the lady that was sitting next to Donald in the waiting room she looks eerily similar to Roxanne and has even made reappearances several times throughout the show.
I met my Roxanne in senior year of high school, with red hair, yellow skinny jeans, book geek and all. She had made and managed her own book blog and was already working on her Master's . Her favorite snack was raw cookie dough and her favorite movie was Hotrod. She played piano and sang like an angel. She's the only person who had reaccured in my dreams. Wish I could go back

I used to think about this, but Disney can’t be trusted right now to do justice to her.

A) Give a character a haircut
B) Replace a character with a character that has a different haircut.

Funny enough she may have actually showed up much earlier in the duck tales reboot like the very first episode. Granted the colors not 100% accurate but if you look at the lady that was sitting next to Donald in the waiting room she looks eerily similar to Roxanne and has even made reappearances several times throughout the show.
It’s probably the thing that Disney does sometimes when they “forget” about a character or replace it for a spin off or sequel
I would laugh if Roxanne came back and at one point, Max rolls his eyes when talking to his dad and mentions her "Mona phase."
This explains why she wasn't shown in future media and films. Disney has not left her sight.
She appeared as a background character in the Ducktales reboot so she's still around.
I met my Roxanne in senior year of high school, with red hair, yellow skinny jeans, book geek and all. She had made and managed her own book blog and was already working on her Master's . Her favorite snack was raw cookie dough and her favorite movie was Hotrod. She played piano and sang like an angel. She's the only person who had reaccured in my dreams. Wish I could go back

they made it needlessly complicated by not having Mona just be Roxanne with a different hairstyle.
Now if Roxanne returns Mona will be talked about as "missing" and if Mona is kept, Roxanne will be "missing". Might as well go the Archie comics route and give Max two love interests
