Not sure what is with this train simulator. I have seen a few videos of it. And the scenery looks very real and the people on the stations seem very real (minus the faces are blurred out). :)
I think I figured it out. They are using video for the out of the cab view. So its from real video footage of the line and surrounding area. The only 3D rendered part is the cab interior.. Slick trick!! but will have some failings later on..
If you look carefully you can see the movement speed of the people change along with the speed of the train. The slower the train, the slower the people. It's just a movie being played here. It's a shame they didn't and or couldn't change that part. But it looks wonderful still. I think i will buy it one day, my son will love it im sure.

That is the logic with this game!
