Excellent interview from Vanitha TV. I am big fan of Priya Sisters. I would request Vanitha TV to please write a Wikipedia on Priya sisters.
When they are born, their introduction to music, their hobbies their favorite songs, personality, places of visit, food.
I am from Kerala more precisely the southern side. We emphasized on Sanskrit. the Malabar side emphasized on Malayalam and Urdu.
Strangely the southern side is more Kannada/Tulu populated and mid to Malabar is Tamil populated.
Our music is Carnatic but pure Sanskrit music.
Malabar music is Muslim songs, Ghazal etc.
Our the sole music writer is Maharaja Swathithirunal.
Another writer is Melpathur NARAYANA BHATTATHIRI who wrote NARAYANEEYAM (as a Nivedyam to Lord Guruvayoorappan) and who is also considered as Kerala-VYASA.
Both these personalities are like our sons (not like-our-sons but really-our-sons as per genetics due to a 1600 old tradition existed from 200AD and abolished after 1800AD)
Can Priya sisters sing the Swathi song ---- PADMANABHA PAHI DWIPAPA SARA , GUNA VASANA SAURE--- in Hindola Raga.
