That shows something: 1) Sometimes the judges pay more attention to "who moves" than to whether or not who moves reaches the target; 2) The VR mechanism can be useful, but should also be able to "decide" for a point, not only to compensate: it should also be able to remove a point. most of the times, when Horuna scored by video review, we could see that Asiabari, already awarded a point, had thrown a poor technique with often no form or no target. Not trying to take anything away from the wonderful fighter that Asiabari is, but if they awarded just the "correct" techniques, Horuna would have won by a larger margin. Too, he risked more because if one of his points had received "no" by the VR, he wouldn't have been able to call for another VR. STILL, this is a wonderful match that displays how karate should be seen in tournaments!!!
Did anyone notice at the end of the bout, an attempt to give jogai warning to Horuna by the judge left of refree....that guy was a joke since the beginning...
