I was privleged to hear S.R. a lot during this period. He kept the rhythm section guessing which tune he was going to stay with. There was a period when he would start in the dressing room, come out playing non-stop for an hour and then walk off still playing back into the dressing room. He would play at least part of maybe 100 songs! Genius!
This made me tear up. Back when I was an undergraduate, one of my friends who was a mature student told me that I was born in the wrong era. I don't know if that's true. I just love truth, beauty of spirit and depth of contemplation.

"Four" is a name of this tune!
I'd never listened this tune such smooth and swinging version like this.
Those were the days, the 60's and Montmartre in CPH. All these groovy swinging cats. I was there. GREAT music

Tell your friend that excellence in jazz transcends all eras & generations. Your ear
recognizes quality. Your friend has a limited view
the ideas Sonny had and has are beyond comprehension...other worldly...can't even imagine that!

Albert Tootie Heath. Name the drummer!
I like Rollin's tone. Improved. Not so honking.
....piano sounds dry/out of tune, still great ideas though 👌.
