- I have a new collection of skinwalker stories for you. A large portion from the Reddit user ashkii90 who grew up on a reservation and has a plethora or stories from her friends and family she has kindly given me permission to narrate.

What's the creepiest/scariest story youve heard if you dont mind?
Arizona resident here as well! My grandfather had a run in with something strong enough to break a big chaining gate, chain and padlock. Completely blew it open like a big truck ran through it, but without any noise
@@boxingfanazM.O.B bullets covered with white ash are useful weapon against them i hear, that being said IF you do go back, bring some and a camera.
Arizona is one of the last areas of untamed desert landscape, just teeming with life we either have seen or have yet to discover, its my belief that the state is too... wild, for lack of a better word.
@@boxingfanazM.O.B you got me doing some looking into of my grandfathers experience and it sounds like the "Mogollon Monster".
Supposedly its stomping grounds or central AZ so I'm inclined to belive either this is what it was or something like it.
Maybe they come further south depe.ding on seasons? Idk. All I know is the way my grandfather described the gate being blown open like it was, there wasn't anything logical to explain it away, and the man worked as a construction worked for the better half of his life, he's never been one to lie about anything like that either, and I believe him because this is his only "paranormal" story

I've never understood why the people in these stories don't want to look or say they regret looking. Every time I'm in a spooky situation, I can't turn away from the source of the spooks unless I'm just running away. I want to know exactly where and what it is!

I love these skinwalker stories! Though I don't really believe in them you never know... Just like how spooky they are.
I don’t really know if I believe in them either but being half Navajo, it’s definitely scary af how taboo it is and how my whole Navajo side of the family believe in them and fear them
I can attest they are real. They are more common in the northern states. Especially in the woods. They often take form of those around you so your guard is down.
They're like ghosts and spirits and demons.... Fictional.

I love when people say they are telling a story but it happened to someone else, but they remember even tiny details that don’t really matter. I can barely remember my own stories, let alone other peoples.

As an navajo this takes me back and I can totally see where all these folks are coming from when explaining it on the navajo rez (except maybe for last one but it is similar) glad you chose a lot of navajo skinwalker stories from that Reddit because for me it can be quite terrifying, mostly because I know how it is on our homeland Area haha

I live in upstate ny on lake ontario. I was driving a few miles from my house and saw a figure that looked like a coyote in front of my truck so i turned my high beams on, then i saw it stand up on 2 legs when it originally was on all 4 and it changed shape into a human silhouette very black and tall like 8 feet then proceeded to run fast af into the woods. Came out of a cornfield.

Skinwalkers are so scary I'm native I've had something similar to the gf and bf story, I was camping in Wyoming at a cabin. I heard calls of a coyote while smoking a cig and went out to the car where my buddies I looked in and saw were sleeping and it was silent but crickets and then nothing like I couldn't hear anything for about 7-8 seconds....then when my hearing came back I heard snaps of twigs and all of a sudden I woke up on the ground by their car and and my buddy by my side frantically asking if I was okay he got me up and all we could hear was the the howls of coyotes as he walked me back to the cabin. I still have no idea what happened before I heard those snaps of twigs maybe it was my buddies but when I got to the car and then walked back in we heard shit rustling. I'm native too so I think I have an idea of what I got visited by I'm glad my buddy was there I must've hit his car or something when I collapsed but it's the weirdest story I've ever expirenced in the woods by far I woke up legit horror movie terrified on the ground. No history of fainting or anything the scariest part for me to this day was he told me "you know what that was right"? I just said "yeah man at least you know now I wasn't lying about it".

I'm definitely enjoying the stories and narration, it's always cool to hear of stories near me such as Arizona or new Mexico. My older brother and sister have a few stories of there own so if youd like I can share them would be nice for there story to be told.

Based on the physical description of the entity encountered in story #3, as well as its actions, it seems, to me, that this creature was actually a dogman, rather than a skinwalker!😝
What strikes me about all the stories I've listened to here the last few days. From the point of view that these beings exist... the likelihood of any real harm coming from an encounter with them seems very small. The worst thing I've heard on another UA-camr is that a Wendigo killed the family father and... possessed the mother, ka. The funniest story was that a skinwalker mingled with a group and tried to make them angry with the phrase "You got more than we did" xD.
At first I thought it was scary but now it's more fun to listen to what people come up with regarding these creatures.
But a compliment, it is really pleasant to listen to you :). Coming to your channel from some creepy-pastas and somehow there are only a few current channels that can get these stories across vocally.
I am German and in German most of the storytellers just sound cringe the way they are told ^^''.

Well there are some of the most scary stories in Mexico by the desert part of Mexico, back in the fiber gold in the US people come from China and disembark in Mexico by accident so The Chinese people we're forced to walk in the desert and let they died from the high heat and starvation. Later the government make the high ways so people who driving in those high ways are having experienced the most scary stories it's almost the same stories like the Skinwalker.
I’m 16 yrs old and I live in the Navajo reservation, in a rural area called grand falls which is a tourist spot but I’ve seen stuff here and across the Rez like dogs twice the size of a German shepherd or lights in the sky even my aunts who live in tuba city see a werewolf creature or a tall cowboy like man. Trust me it happens when you least expect here on the Rez. As children we were always taught to not play outside at night and don’t talk about skinwalker a or else they will hear and come see you it’s like not saying Voldemort in Harry Potter

I believe skinwalkers can not only manipulate electronics, disable them temporarily, etc, I believe they can also do the same thing with sound or sound waves. I've heard stories where you can't hear the birds and animals, kinda cliche. But what about when someone is calling for someone or someone is calling for help and no one can hear them? I've heard stories like that too. In various locations but in particular is the various national parks across the U.S. where thousands of people have gone missing, many of them without any trace or explanation. Some of them like, where the person is standing feet away, the other person turns around and when they turn back, the person has disappeared. Gone, vanished without a trace. No footsteps sounds. No cries for help. No sound. How do you explain that?

I was only three when I heard and saw some one walking and then he was run on all fours yeah I'm glad my parents pick me up but they chief was tell my dad something and which way to go
hey so i was wondering if this could be a skinwalker, i live in ny but i was walking down the street at 1 am cuz i snuck out and was going back to my friends house and as im walking i notice behind me in the dark 2 streets down a black figure it looked at least 10 feet tall, was wearing tattered clothing, smelled bad when it got near me, it was slow bit somehow was always close to me even when i sprinted down the street, it then started whistling like it was behind me and i was almost crying and got to my friends house and it disappeared like i didnt see it anywhere on the road
edit: its legs looked off like it j wasnt right also i was so scared i normally jog 7.5 mph but i prob ran ab 15 mph cuz of how terrified i was i also live near some woods and rivers but not big ones so idk what it was, 100% wasnt human for how tall, bone like, fast, and loud it was

What you described was a demon. They do exist.
@@FrostedSeagull That was a Yanadloshii, they smell bad and some can get very tall, they more or less just try to scare you, unless that Yanadloshii was sent after you, your fear is what empowers it.
I like the ones that seem more realistic. I don’t like fake spooky stories because there is enough scary stuff in the world that seriously messes with people mental health and lives. Even if they aren’t real at least they might be and are feasible
Most people don't know what a skinwalker is in short words its just a person who practices witchcraft that shapeshifts because of it and they are only on the 4 corner states no others
Always makes me wonder what drives a person to accept that lifestyle. Uobringing, lifestyle, self hate, why would you think, "this seems like a good life choice. Id live to eat raw meat and run alongside cars at a fast pace"
