In dragon ball it is stated in order to destroy earth you need a power level of 800. The world of one piece is 5 times the size as the world in dragonball according to globes in the manga. So you could argue white beard was a power level of atleast 4k based on this. So goku is not the only person that can destroy a planet

an interesting thing to note is that since law can swap souls with the ope ope no mi, that means he can manipulate more than just physical matter. i think that if it were to be awakened he couldnt only swap matter or souls, but intangible concepts as well such as a persons senses. another awakened possibility would be the generation of multiple rooms at once or even more micro scale accuracy with the fruit and being able to create semi illusions by moving light itself within the room.

I'm so grateful this series exists. I was just thinking how badly I wanted a breakdown of this fruit, but I didn't want to read the whole wiki page. This is EXACTLY what I needed, and I'm ashamed of myself for not remembering it existed, given that I've watched many episodes before.
Fr.This Fruit and the Nikyu-Nikyu mi is the inspiration for me creating my own devil fruit for my OC.Its called Henko-Henko no mi and has the ability to change properties of whatever the user touches as well as the user himself.

A great overview of one of the most sought after Devil Fruits in the series. With Law and the Ope Ope no Mi, we have one of many cases where a Devil Fruit is suited perfectly to its user. The Perpetual Youth Surgery (or whatever you call it) is a major plot point that will likely come into play somewhere in Luffy's future adventures; he has been at death's door multiple times before, and while both Ivankov and Law were able to save him from being completely annihilated at Impel Down and Marineford respectively, I agree with the fans that say Luffy's actions that consistently put his lifespan in danger is not sustainable. Eventually, something or someone will be compromised again due to this issue.
Wow! I wasn't expecting Kizaru's fruit to be discussed so soon, thinking it would be showcased last after all of the Super Novas. Most of them had a shot at Kizaru before deciding it was better to run away and fight another day, the exception being Kuma who forcibly sent the Straw Hats away from battle in order to save them.

Wasn't it said too that luffy's gears shorten his lifespan too? There's still a ton of fights to be had where he's going to need to push his body further and further on top of what he's already done.
The first time I saw him use his power in Saobody I thought “well that’s stupid” then I saw his strength on Punk Hazard and thought “luffy might have a hard time with him”

I could see Law using that invincibility ability on Luffy, he has had his lifespan shortened a lot and will be shortened even more by the time Luffy finds the One Piece
Mugiwara no Luffy when law healed luffy after the battle at marine ford, he said he took away those affects that had already happened. Sorta like a reset button on luffy’s lifespan
What i have heard normal lifespan is 140years for normal humans and super humans like Doctorine it is over 200years, if living normal life, pirates live dangerous lifes so many die really young like Roger and WB, save to say luffy aint gonna die in no time, also hes abilities also shorten hes lifespan, like second gear.

Just swap kaidos soul with luffy soul then luffy can beat up kaidos body while in his body then swap back to his own body

With awakening, usually and other from Zohan fruits, awakened fruits affect the world around the user instead of the user, so if law's power already makes him control an area around him, perhaps an weakening could mean he could control EVERYTHING like he does in his normal area, making him the most broken character in the series
I believe that beyond the Perpetual Youth Surgery, an awakening of the Ope Ope no Mi could possibly mean that the user would not need to create a room in order to access it's powers, or that the user could create rooms as big as they want, for as long as they want with no negative drawbacks and move the rooms instead of them being stationary.
Maybe have a constant room around you as a passive.

Teleporting, soul switching, telekinesis, radiation attacks that cut up your insides, heart / other body part snatching, electric shocks, piercing / stabbing shockwaves (injection shot), scanning, energy barriers, weapon phasing, weapon extending (literally can extend his sword a few miles in a second depending on how high Onigashima is off the ground), and he can launch shockwaves that leave island sized craters in the ground... on top of the whole grant immortality thing. No wonder this fruit is worth 5 billion...
For the awakening I would think it would be like alchemy. Breaking down matter and reconstructing it as something entirely different. Such as turning wood into bread or maybe pulling water from air and then freezing it.

I always figured that awakening the Ope Ope no Mi would allow the user to perform all the basic abilities at any time without having to create the room first, basically making the entire world the room.
Maybe instead of that, hav e it be able to create smaller rooms that are all manipulated at once. These rooms can be placed ANYWHERE and I mean ANYWHERE.
I think it's important to note that the amputate ability has a range dictated by the size of the room as opposed to the length of whatever blade the user may be holding.
I love the idea of an awakened ope ope no mi where the user could create multiple rooms with a reduced stamina drain or no stamina drain at all, I even thought of this torture move. Law could make a room around 1 person, make 4 walls in the way you would make a house, then law changes the structure to have spikes, then close in the walls, while the victim awaits their severe pain/ death.

I think his devil fruit is awakened. There are devil fruits whose control is limited to either living or non living things. Like the weird cat in tesoro, who can only phase on non living objects. The fact that Law can affect non living things when his fruit is for 'operation', I think it's awakened. Same goes with Kuma, I think his fruit's limitation is supposed to be repelling non living objects but having been able to repel living objects is a good awakening material

Awakening idea: Anesthesia which is a move that paralyzes or makes people fully fall asleep depending on how much strength you put into it. Lol if law was able to do that he might be able to solo kaido just by paralyzing him then crushing his heart.

My own fantasy for the awakening of Op-Op no mi is a grant of passive "room" within a certain radius of where Law is standing. Or even more crazier, the room might not be necessary for using these fruit's abilities after its awakening. Whatever the awakening will grant, it will simply make this devil fruit even more insane.
Warning this is dark and cruel.
I just realized something, IDK why nobody has thought of this but warning it is very cruel. Op can swap souls with other souls, we don't know if it is just human souls but it doesn't matter. This fruit could literally kill or end anyone in moments.
Swap someone's soul like Kaido's with an animal or brave human volunteer if animal souls can't be swaped. Now that Kaido is in a weak body or even better an immobilized weak body, The Ope user could take as much time as they wanted to do whatever they wanted to Kaido's body.
This is where the very cruel part takes place because whatever you do to Kaido's body probably cut limbs, broken bones, or anything that could you would try to do to Kaido, the person Kaido switched with will be feeling all the pain. Not just anyone would take Kaido's place, now when the body is rendered useless or incapable of fighting, switch the souls back to their original bodies.
Then kill the poor Kaido that can't do anything about his death other than struggle trying to move his trashed body in a last effort to live.
Oda thought about it. The fruit is too op, he admits it, so he chooses to forget about the ability to rip out hearts. You could counter this with haki but the room can extend so much that you probably won't even notice him activate it and won't use haki it time

@@treracsp1 nah, Chopper can't do that. I think the BB-Cerberus theory is correct. Too many hints, specially the "not him, they"-part. Blackbeard did it because he's not simply one person. Plus, we don't know if Blackbeard actually ate a fruit to get WB powers. There was a curtain and something happened there. Weather BB stole the power with some vortex-ability or if he actually had a fruit with him, which turned into the devil fruit when WB died and ate that one, we don't know. Even if Chopper did what BB did to WB, Chopper would die. Unless he has the same condition Blackbeard has.

I'm just spitballing for fun and would love some feedback on this concept. Let's say law carried around a box that is laced on the inside with kairoseki. As he is not touching it in the slightest it would not effect him however if he fought a devil fruit user and cut off an insignificant part of their body like let's lay thier pinky toe, and caught the piece in the box and shut it. That would in fact cripple the devil fruits users abilities, stamina and strength. We can even simplify it further and say he just chucks it into the ocean if he's nearby it. Just a fun concept that I thought makes laws ability even more broken then it already is.
