Love all the tips! I just want to say you have inspired me a lot throughout my video making journey. Buying my first camera (also the sonya6400) and making my first UA-cam video was mostly because I binged watch your videos back in 2021. Finding out I was gonna go to the same uni as you was definitely a very cool coincidence. I actually said hi to you one time and then never saw you on campus again haha. But I just want to say thank you for creating your videos, because they have truly inspired me a lot and are also just really genuine enjoyable videos to watch :)

Amazing! The way you explain the details behind de process of journaling makes a lot of sense to me, something I use to practice for emotional release, but this way makes it more rewarding.
I do both! A lot of the stories I tell in my videos are straight from my journal!

How about food vlogging content creating? How can you make it cinematic? Interested with your advice.
I’ve never done much with food vlogging but I have done commercial shoots for restaurants and I think a big part is letting the viewers see how the food is made like a BTS cinematic sequence of inside the kitchen not just the end result!

Great video and thanks for the tips. Question, what do your camera settings typically look like when shooting these run and gun style cinematic vlogs? Are you on automatic for certain shots, full manual all the time, do you use auto white balance or set it for every single scene, do you use a picture profile (if so which one), etc?
Full manual everything in slog3 except for focus!
@@JasonZhao how often did you set your white balance when you’re shooting the different scenes and vlogging at the same time? Or did you leave WB on auto?
@KayanushPatel I’ve always been white balance auto!
I used to use a rode video micro and it didn't sound anywhere near as good as yours. What did you do to make it sound so good?
Not much, on a few clips I did a bit of enhancing with adobes new enhance dialogue feature but I would say about 90% of the clips were just raw audio boosted to about -6 dB. Hope this helps!

Hi what would be the best video editing software that you could recommend…
I’ve only ever used Adobe premiere pro! I love it but i believe a lot of creatives are switching over to DaVinci resolve due to its colour grading tools. It also has a free version!

Edit in CapCut or premier pro? How long you been editing brother ? Just starting out this year it’s a lot to remember
Premiere! But any editing software that gets you started is good, overtime you’ll pick up cool tricks that you remember. No shame in watching editing tutorials when you need to!

How did you figure out the shutter speed and what fps to shoot in to make it looks cinematic?
Typically shoot in 4k30fps at 1/60. Normally filmmaking is typically at 24fps and 1/48 but for social media compatibility 30fps is my personal choice

i currently have davinci free version. You think it’d be ideal for me to buy dehancer pro even though i have davinci free version? or should i buy davinci studio THEN dehancer?

@gettriggered8404 honestly not sure, never used DaVinci before so can’t speak on that but if you’re having troubles with colouring your footage Dehancer is a great tool!

Not sure of the name! It’s an old one from my family, metal build but I only bring it out sometimes if I know I’m going to try and be in front of the camera.

Mavic minis are under the legal weight requirements! didn’t even end up flying it anyways due to wind 😓
