Right my girl ily so as a severe social anxiety hot mess who is in second year of uni and actually managing to be happy, here's my BEST advice for you: 1) If you find yourself becoming sad, lonely, or generally homesick, in the first few weeks/months, do NOT act like you're okay because ""college is the best time of your life"", seriously, everyone has some worries and some shock in the beginning, so talk to people about it. Everyone else in college is feelin' it. No shame. 2) Remember to balance your life. If you're a person who overworks yourself, make sure you make space for REAL rewards. Not 'I get to eat dinner!' or 'good job! you get to sleep!'. Seriously, when you manage to do work (especially when you do well), make room for nice things. 3) Similarly, (altho ur probs an expert at this, you have a planner), keep your work balanced in a way that works for you. 4) If you're a lazy heck, listen to your professor's nags. If you're a workaholic, do not listen to them. It'll only work ya up. Those exaggerations (you should work x amount of hours a week) are not for u. 5) Make sure uni is a place you can have fun in. Bring your games, make new 'alone' hobbies if you need to, make sure you have stuff you can do alone, go to social events and clubs (seriously, even just sitting around being quiet will help loneliness). 6) If you get second thoughts about your course, have troubles, talk! to! your tutor/professor! They are usually nice people, and they don't just help with work. Become mates with your tutors and they will help u in all aspects of life. 7) You're amazing and you can do this! The initial shock of independence WILL subside, but don't be scared if other people seem to be moving on faster. It will happen, jus give it time. You're a star and college isn't always ""the best years", but it doesn't need to be! It's an experience, you will grow in all directions (become a giant blob), and you will do great! (this is so long, sorry... I jus like you gurl, I wanna reassure, also I'm from the uk so apologies for any inconsistencies with ur education system)
I was going to comment something like this but you beat me to it! Great tips, I'm also a second year in uni in the UK and all of this advice is exactly what how I feel.
Oh, to add to this - don't just let people into your dorm/flat/apartment who are "friends". Sounds weird, but I got robbed and had people I didn't want crashing over to the point where I actually had to change the locks. Making boundaries for yourself and your new space, whether roomates, new friends or neighbors is super important. I lost 4 shirts ,several miscellaneous items, and DAYS of sleep to so-called friends.
I'm not gonna lie. Moving away from home is scary. I straight out dropped my entire life to move down across the country to Disney World because I got hired into their costuming department. Definitely have mom send you care packages! My mom sending me bits of home is my lifeline for sure. But you'll also grow SO SO much and become more independent which is hella cool (at least it was for me) plus having your own apartment that you can fill with ya nerd stuff and decorate however you want is lit. Try and set up a skype/movie night with ya fam after you move. It'll help you transition and keep ya a bit sane as you find your footing in the near area.
YOU CAN MAKE ALL THE SWIMSUITS AND CUTE STRETCHY STUFF NOW AND ALSO BE SUPER FRUSTRATED WHILE THREADING IT (3 years in and I basically rethread mine once every 6 months :P)YAY SERGERS ☺☺🌈🌈🌈 ALSO yay college :D
YAAAY 💞 I actually got it threaded and it wasn't that bad!! I still don't get the tension and all the dials and stuff lol but my sweet lady on the 1999 instructional CD will help me
NBCCD Fashion grad here! Congrats on getting in - it's a great school and such a wonderful, creative environment. My best advice with the fashion program is to not get discouraged if it feels like you're not learning everything as fast as you'd like. For me it seemed like when I compared what my friends in other disciplines were doing, that they were able to jump right into the fun stuff whereas in fashion we had to learn so many basics before getting to make the things I wanted to design. So if you see the potters getting their hands dirty in clay, and the jewellers doing cool stuff with metal, and you wonder why you're still doing sewing samples and learning basic pattern drafting, don't worry - you're building a really solid technical base that will allow you to make pretty much anything you can imagine once you get to your final year. So be patient and it will all come together before you know it. Best of luck!
Hi I don't usually comment on Vida but I just wanted to give you a tip on changing the color in your surger. When you already have an colour thread in the machine instead of taking the thread out and rethreading it all over again you can just cut the spools out and tie the new colours on to the ends and after awhile of surging the colour should change to the new thread. Sorry if this was confusing I just wanted to give you a tip😉
Annika Victoria Sometimes I feel like sergers are the printers of sewing. Mine works maybe like 10% of the time though it is used. I've taken it to be repaired several times so it should be OK but just sergers...
Congratulations on getting into fashion school!! 💕✨ A serger/over locker can be super annoying to tread but once you get the hang of it you’ll be fine! When I was naughty as a child my grandmother would make me re-tread her two over lockers as punishment. We lived in the middle of nowhere so she got creative with punishments as there was no tv/phone to take away 😂
I was not disappointed by the amount of cats! As someone that is about to graduate from fashion design school let me give just a quicky lesson about sergers, and fashion school. 1.) They take some time to get use to, and thread so don't get discouraged at first! It gets easier with practice! 2.) Sergers give a type of clean edge to woven garments, and sew together knits. The more threads the more stable the seam, and if you have a double needle with 4 threads then your knit garments will be very secure! 3.) More than likely you'll be using industrial machines at school so pay close attention to the tension and stitch length on those machines so you can mock them on your personal machines, and not stuck in the sewing lab all the time. 4.) Save everything! Especially your technicals and fashion illustration bodies!! Nothing is worse than having to start over from scratch at the end of your schooling because you didn't save work that you could use as a base to bounce off. Have fun, and good luck girl!! I'm rooting for you!!
Pixielocks No problem!! If you ever want advice with how to deal with something, to rant about sewing/class, or anything you are more than welcome to dm me on Insta! I'm just MissMudkip25 there, and my dm's are always open to fellow designers/cosplayers!
Taniya Duffy Me too!! I'm so glad she told us about that because I just make myself sit through the skippables now knowing that it's helping her and my other favorite YTers. Yaaaaay helping! 😁
I moved all the way from my parents house in Australia to the UK to study - yup about as far from my family as I could possibly move. I was homesick for a few months, but that went away eventually. My advice is to make a Skype night for you and your family - for me it was every Sunday morning, and 6 years later still living in Europe I still do it every Sunday without fail. Phone calls are great too, but a Skype chat is different, feels like I'm sitting in my living room with my family while they eat dinner and nothing has changed- It really helped a lot. Otherwise sign yourself for social events. I am introverted and like my own company, but I think it really helps to break routine and distract yourself - plus college friends become your second family. Take it as a growing experience, not every day will be great, but you will become a stronger more resilient person - best decision I ever made. Best of luck Pixie!
Congrats, I'm so happy for you! As for advice, if you end up having roommates, make sure you come up with a clear set of rules for the house beforehand so there's no drama over chores or other little things.
please never stop these vlogs because you're doing so well. I don't think these are boring at all and I always enjoy your videos. And good luck at college when you go next year!! :)
Worked for Lush for two years, if you left the Experimenter in a moist environment like a bathroom it probably got a little damp itself (internally) which can deplete the foam's longevity. Keep em in a dry environment, some folks wrap them in cling film/seran wrap and find it helps to keep them good (if you're the type to stock up in one big lot instead of buying and using them straight away). 😊 Congrats on all of your success, you deserve it. 💗💗💗
My main piece of advice would be, if you decide to share an apartment with friends...make sure you set some very clear rules and boundaries. Don't make the mistake of assuming that everything will work itself out. You have to be active when it comes to maintaining healthy relationships with roommates. Delegate chores and make plans for when one or more of you gets into financial trouble (because it WILL happen).
Honestly I got so used to living away from home surprisingly quickly, so you'll crush it girl. I don't know what it's like in Canada, but my friends that did an art foundation year said it was pretty chill and not too stressful, so fingers crossed it'll be chill for you too. Good luck anyway xx
Moving out is the best thing ever! You get to have total control over your life, no annoying parents, you can live how you want. I moved out as soon as I turned 18 and was of legal age. It's fantastic, you'll love it! I have never once felt homesick. Uni is hard and you'll tumble. I've struggled with depression and anxiety throughout my studies. But I can tell you that finally moving out is SO liberating! It definitly helped my depression a lot. Good luck!!
I love your vlogs!!! It's fun to listen to you talk and chat with us and share your day with us ^__^ Also: your cats are angels and the most beautiful cats in the world
I'm so thankful I found your UA-cam channel. Without a doubt, you're the most relatable UA-camr I'm subscribed to. I'm also starting college in Fall 2018, love my cats, love cosplay, and live for that aesthetic. Thank you so much for filming these vlogs and sharing a bit of your life with us.
My advice for moving out for the first time is to just breeeeathe and also to keep in touch with your family! When I first moved out for college last year I called my mom almost daily and it really helped me to miss her less, and she also made my dog bark on the phone for me so that I wouldn't have to miss her as much either! Phone calls and facetime are your best friend if you're worried about missing people from back home.
I struggled a lot with social anxiety before I went to art school, and I was so scared on my first day. Once I got comfortable though, I was so in my element and I came out of my shell so much. I also met almost all of my current friends there, and they're some of the coolest, kindest people I've ever met. It was the time of my life, and I'm so excited for you to experience those things !!!
enter journeymen. it has so much less competition. novice can be like 90 people that have a huge range of skill level. it’s the people that aren’t sorted out yet and don’t know what they’re doing. while journeymen only has like 15 or so people. yeah they’re all skilled and have won before but it’s less competition
Moving out can be overwhelming! When I moved out of my Mom's house, I moved two states away and never felt more alone in my life. But after awhile its pretty exciting being out in the world, exploring it on your own! After 5 years I moved back to California, but to the opposite side of the state. (So I'm still about 13 hours away from my Fam)
Moving away is excited! I went to college 14 hours away from home and it was awesome! It's a great opportunity to learn how to live by yourself and depend on yourself. I learned a lot about myself and learned to love myself more.
when changing the thread, cut the old thread at the start near the spools of thread then tie on new thread (super small knots) then gently pull at old thread till the new thread is completely threaded. I hope that makes sense, but this way the new thread slides right into place where the old thread was. (cuz I think you said there was already thread threaded lol)
Pro tip: Once the surger is threaded, you can just tie the new thread you want to the end of the old thread with a flat knot and pull on the threads. The flat knot can go through the whole thing, except for the hole in the needle itself, so it's much easier to do that then to re-thread the whole thing every time you want to change colors.
GAL TIP: When threading an overlocker don't pull out threads that are already threaded, just cut them at the spool, tie on the new spools and pull through the threads to the needle!
I'm so glad you uploaded, i love your videos so much and its really helping me get through a very rough spot in my life. My boyfriend of a year and five months left me on thursday and it was not mutual at all to say the least. I really needed this today, thank you 💖💖💖
I was sent to school abroad when I was younger and initially it literally killed me. My #1 advice would be that (as a home-body myself), make sure you have a solid support system because when you're away from your home, your friends will be who you lean on the most for mental stability. Hopefully, it won't be a crummy year for you when you initially start, but it gets better if you keep your mind to it. :D It'll be full of adventure, I promise.
It's GOOD to be nervous to move out. And natural. It's hard to suddenly have other people in your space all the time, and trying to get use to other people's living habits. My best advice is to make sure everyone is communicating when things are becoming hard to deal with/making you stressed, and if possible, to have a space that's just for you. ❤ v important
congrats on getting into fashion school! I just graduated my MA in fashion design, it was the best and also most stressful years ever! but also amazing and fun and cool and learning. yay.
Congratulations on getting into college!!! I'm a senior wanting to get into animation and my school has been making us do a ton of applications so I understand how exciting yet some what scary it is! I hope you thrive well in your college and become a very successful fashion designer!! You're so amazing and inspire me as well so keep up the good work pixi!!!
Congrats on your acceptance! I moved across the U.S. (east coast to west coast) to go to college and now I'm living where I went to uni. If you're not living in dorms, try to connect with people by going to campus club meetings or welcome events. Meeting people at our dormitory and during our "welcome week" was the main way I established a new support system after moving to a new state 3000 miles away where I literally knew no one haha. Also, the homesickness didn't hit me until later since I was having a lot of fun in the first few months, but definitely skype with your parents and friends from back home a lot if you're missing them! But still be sure to meet new people because that's the most important part of feeling at home in a new place :) You're going to be in a fashion school so I'm sure you'll find lots of cool people with similar interests as you. Congrats and good luck!
I literally moved to my own place yesterday! There's a surprising amount of stuff you need like seriously. My grandma collected me kitchen stuff as Christmas and birthday presents for years and here I am missing a sugar jar (so no sugar on my tea) and a toaster and I don't even know how many other things.
The more you thread and use your serger the easier and quicker it will be! It's very annoying when thing get out of place because of the vibrations when you're overlocking or just when one of the threads runs out in the middle of a finition but really after one year I got all the reflexes to avoid these annoyances ^^
I went to do fashion away for home, Iv gratuated thus year! All I can say is when work is given do it straight away! There's lots of practical work! And also congratulations!!!💕
That's amazing!! Congrats on getting into fashion school! You're gonna love it. Moving out and leaving everything you know to start a new chapter of your life is scary. But just from my own life I can tell you its worth it. I learned so much about myself, I became so empowered and confident when I left home and went to art school. I was in a new state, and new city, didn't know anyone there. But omg it was amazing, its so worth it to follow your dreams. Yes there were times when it was hard and scary and I got home sick also won't lie to you but in the long run it was all worth it. I have no doubt you're gonna do brilliantly and you're gonna blow them away!
Congratulations, Pixie!! I’m excited to see what beautiful creations you make during your education and beyond! ☆ You inspired me to continue pursuing fashion from how inspirational and unique your style is, I hope to inspire people with my own style like you do with yours!! best wishes
First of all: congrats on getting into fashion school! This is amazing and you can be so proud of yourself!! Now onto the whole moving out thing... I remember being terrified to move out too (well not exactly terrified but I kept catching myself finding excuses for not doing it...?) mostly because I was worried I wouldn't be able to take care of myself. It's not like I don't know how to cook or do the laundry or whatever but I tend to forget to eat and weird stuff like that; plus I'm kind of scared to be alone. Now I've been living on my own (actually with my partner) for almost 1 year and looking back most of the things I was worried about weren't really an issue. I actually eat more healthy than I used to do and I just get things done and organize and make things work in ways I never thought I could. I was actually going to uni for four years already before I moved, so it wasn't completely new... but still. My tips for moving out are: - try moving in with friends (or someone else you feel comfortable with) if you're worried to get too lonely - don't be scared to ask for help (be it moving furniture or getting your lease explained, the more you know the more secure you are and less people can try and screw you over) - keep track of your spendings (food, etc - I make a list each month, collect receipts - but maybe you have to do that when you're self-employed already anyway), this way you can keep track of your monthly needs, can plan better, and so on - try to make your new place comfortable. it's scary and hard in a new enviroment first but it's even harder when you don't feel home at your new place at all (it may take some time though, don't stress yourself over it, either!) I don't know if these tips work for everyone but this is just want sprung into my head just now... I really enjoy your vlogs and videos (though I've been a silent observer till now) and hope you keep up the great work. Your will and excitement to learn and improve is truly inspiring and it always makes me happy to watch what you're up to (and your cats of course, let's be honest)!
i'm so happy for you !!! i'm such a moody lil egg and you and your colourful videos rly cheer me up, you deserve it soo oo oo much. ANYWAY. i'm a bean who decided to go to an arts school 300 miles away from home and i have anxiety (tm) too. you just gotta remember that there are gonna be soooo o o oo many people in the same boat as you, everybody gets homesick at some point and it doesn't matter whether you do ever. you're gonna be around likeminded people and you're gonna get so inspired and be so creative and its gonna be great, and even if you're sad you gotta remember you're doing the best thing you can possibly do for your future and it aint nobody's business whether you cried every day or were so happy that you never wanted to go back home. your friends and your family and your loved ones are gonna be a phonecall away (my mum is super supportive) and you're gonna make so many new inspiring friends and have a fab time !! ahhh!!
Congratulations Pixie!! I’m so happy that you got into fashion school! You are awesome and inspire me everyday so I know you really deserve this! Keep doing what you do best and I love you!
You know i moved out when I was 18. I was crying more than my parents were. But I think the more you spend time away the better it gets .You start developing what works for you. Plus get your self involved with groups and how you meet friends.
Hi! The trick to thread mashines like this is to cut all threads, put new ones in place and tie old and new threads together, making sure that knots are super tiny. Then just overlock some piece of fabric until all your new threads will come trough. Easy!
Yay!! Congrats love!! I knew if you took the chance you would make it because you are obviously talented enough beyond your years but also, moving to a new place gives some of the best inspiration as an artist. Additionally, being surrounded by like minded individuals who love what you do is the best feeling of community and you’ll make so many new friends! You are going to have the time of your life and make the best memories! Savor every moment because it goes by too fast!! Stay true to yourself and don’t get caught up in relationships since you are so young! Trust me, you’ll have so much time for that! Plus, that’s what cats are for haha 😻 P.s. thank you for the extra cat footage, it’s just the best!!
The sleep could be hormonal imbalances. You may want to ask your doctor. I had that issue as well and it’s fixed with help from my doc. It’s worth it when you are in college or working full time, or both like me, to be less tired.
Gonna rock on down to Snoozville is going to be my new way to say that I'm tired, sleepy girl.✨👌💤 Also loving the cute furballs in the vlogs, wish I had pets. Congratulations on getting in to collegg! I am proud of you! Love you Jillian 💕✨🌈
About the sleep... I definitely need 10 hours of sleep, not 8. It took me some while to figure this out because everyone is always saying you need 8 hours. But this is like an average amount and some people do need more! And there are also people who can do with less. I read somewhere that hsp'ers often sleep more in the night and also often nap. Since I read this somewhere I finally give myself the amount of sleep I need without worrying or feeling guilty. Because I knew I was highly sensitive but I didn't know this was like a trait. I think it's because we have a lot more stimuli to process. I don't know if you see yourself as a highly sensitive person but I think this can be true for people who have a lot to deal with in general. The same goes for the eating in time. It's important to take care of yourself and don't worry about if the things you need to do to take proper care of yourself are 'normal'. Normal is relative anyway.
It's not weird for younger people to need a lot of sleep! When I was your age I used to come back from class and take a 4 hour nap like every day lol. Congrats on your acceptance letter!! And getting your surger! Honestly I kind of think of you as a role model even though you're almost a decade younger than me, because you're pursuing your dreams and getting so much done and I wish I had done that instead of getting a "more practical" degree. You're going to feel so good moving away from home. I know it's scary AF but you'll be amazed at how much you learn living on your own. Also god your cats are so effin' cute
Congrats on getting into college! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I also have that same serger. It's really nice. If you need a course or videos, Craftsy really helped me with threading and settings and whathaveyou. 🤗
previously i dun really know how the cats acts since im new to the club, but thanks to ur 2 vlogs up to date, i know and understand why u pamper them so much now haha! theyre adorable!
Congratulations Pixie! I went to school for fashion as well. It can be really stressful at times but just keep pushing through and stay true to you. You'll meet a lot of creative and inspiring people along time way c:*
Congrats on getting into college Jillian! Your aesthetic is so adorable and I like watching your more chill vlog videos and your cats are so fluffy and cute! Lol
I moved out of my dad's house and out of the country when I was 18. I'm from Switzerland and I moved 6000 miles away, to California, for school. Honestly it's okay to be terrified, it's a pretty intense experience... And it won't be easy... But you'll learn so much about yourself
I just graduated with a Bachelor's in fashion design! It is challenging but fun if you stay true to what you want as a designer. I wish you the best with your designs.
My first move was out of province too. The first thing I always start packing is the stuff I don't use on the weekly, but I also don't tape every box shut until the week I actually move. That's so much effort on an instagram post holy moley! Looks beautiful in the end though
First of all, congratulations!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Secondly, here's a tip for threading your serger. I almost never thread it myself, only if a thread broke or if I didn't see a spool being empty. If I want to change the color of the threads or something, I cut the current thread near the spool (on the back side of the serger) and attach the new thread I want to put. Then I grab the corresponding thread near the needle and move it all the way to the front. Hope that helps. :)
My sister went to fashion school for years and years. All they did was charge her hundreds of thousands of dollars and force her to make jeans and main stream clothing and if she didn't thy usually failed her. And this is one of the most renowned art/fashion school in the US. Just a warning. Make sure you super know what you're getting into. Might even be better to take local classes or just a community college or something like that.
every morning when i have sleep paralysis i watch your videos cause my sleep paralysis experiences are scary af and your videos are like so bright pink and cute it make me feel better
Threading a serger is a ridiculous pain the first few times, but once you get the hang of it it's not much harder than threading your normal machine. :) In my first sewing class during freshman year of college they showed us how to thread a serger, then tested us on it for a grade. XD lol
✨Welcome to Pixielocks where you can watch the most aesthetically pleasing vlogs ever✨
And congratulations on getting in to fashion college that's so exciting!!
The meows are precious ahhhhhhhhhhh

Raphael BloodAndHugs Really nice tips there👍
I was going to comment something like this but you beat me to it! Great tips, I'm also a second year in uni in the UK and all of this advice is exactly what how I feel.
I’m in my first year of college, thank you for these tips they’re really helpful
Raphael BloodAndHugs great advice! 😘
Oh, to add to this - don't just let people into your dorm/flat/apartment who are "friends". The Whimsical Wizard thats sounds awesome.
It was awesome! I transferred to the photography department not long after though. (I'm a freelance photographer, so it seemed more my jam)
I would be so interested to see what a Pixielocks designed clothing line would look like! So cute! Good luck girl

I so want a like a Skype Collab between you guys. Like I want it so bad.

We are calling your secret sneaky gal pal "mystery girl?" I THINK THAT IS EFFING ADORABLEEEEE
"But i feel like i canANADA POST CANADA POST CANADA POST-"
Im kinda excited mystery girl is a mystery I love mysteries
Congratulations on getting into fashion school!! 💕✨
A serger/over locker can be super annoying to tread but once you get the hang of it you’ll be fine!
When I was naughty as a child my grandmother would make me re-tread her two over lockers as punishment. We lived in the middle of nowhere so she got creative with punishments as there was no tv/phone to take away 😂
Imogen Mary what a GREAT form of discipline that actually helps you to learn a skill! 💖🦄😻
80% of the vlog is about the cats and i love it!
Keep them pixievlogs coming💕 (i'm so happy for you)
I was not disappointed by the amount of cats!
Weeee thank you for all this good advice!!!
Pixielocks No problem!! If you ever want advice with how to deal with something, to rant about sewing/class, or anything you are more than welcome to dm me on Insta! I'm just MissMudkip25 there, and my dm's are always open to fellow designers/cosplayers!
I am watching all the ads for my sparkle mami 💓💓
Taniya Duffy Me too!! I'm so glad she told us about that because I just make myself sit through the skippables now knowing that it's helping her and my other favorite YTers. Yaaaaay helping! 😁
Congratulations Pixie!! The Confetti Club is proud of you! xx
Congrats on getting into fashion school pixie! 💗🌸
Aw me & my gf carved pumpkins & roasted the seeds tooooo ✨🎃 wholesome gay fall activities 🎃✨

I TOOK A BREAK FROM MY HEARTCATCH PRECURE MARATHON FOR THIS
Chammz Dolly I took a break from a chemistry lab for this. Pixie trumps science, apparently! :)
please never stop these vlogs because you're doing so well.
Lilith Dillon-Parkin this is helpful, I didn't know this!
Jillian, seeing you constantly reminds me to live by my own standard; not by standard of the universe..👏👏👏💖
9:13 what a nice fluffy white pillow! 9:16 ohhhh
Well done, I'm so happy for you, you deserve it!!!🖤
Honestly I got so used to living away from home surprisingly quickly, so you'll crush it girl.
It's fun to listen to you talk and chat with us and share your day with us ^__^
Also: your cats are angels and the most beautiful cats in the world
jill + her cats = what i live for
YES GIRL MOVE TO MY PROVINCE
It was the time of my life, and I'm so excited for you to experience those things !!!
its 5:32am and i havent slept at all, i just came here to say i love you ♡
Lu_dot_jpg same...we should probs go to bed soon 😅
GERRELLEY ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ pixie and fanfiction are more important tbh
I'M SO PROUD OF YOU LOOK AT YOU GO!!!!!!!!!!! ❤💖💙💚💜💛
enter journeymen. it has so much less competition. novice can be like 90 people that have a huge range of skill level. it’s the people that aren’t sorted out yet and don’t know what they’re doing. while journeymen only has like 15 or so people. yeah they’re all skilled and have won before but it’s less competition
IT'S A DIAMOND AUTHORITY BATH BOMB
Who the knick knack paddy whack is mysterygirl???
I’m actually loving these vlogs! Please continue them~
Moving away is excited! I went to college 14 hours away from home and it was awesome! It's a great opportunity to learn how to live by yourself and depend on yourself. I learned a lot about myself and learned to love myself more.
5:18 when your cupcake game is good and pixie gets all the crummies on her face
I NOTICED THAT LOL i'm like which ones are crumbs and which ones are moles
when changing the thread, cut the old thread at the start near the spools of thread then tie on new thread (super small knots) then gently pull at old thread till the new thread is completely threaded. I hope that makes sense, but this way the new thread slides right into place where the old thread was. (cuz I think you said there was already thread threaded lol)
and advice....dont let moving out tear u down. YOUR GONNA DO SO GOOD!! and you did do so good....
Pixie has the best vlogs by far.
You sewed the rainbow tennis skirt!!! It looks so good! 👏👏
Congrats! I graduated this program 2 years ago and still do all the fashion shows! You will have the best time and meet your best friends for life!
her skin looks so cute and soft ;;;;
i love this video!!! so relaxingggg
Pixie! Those teabag things that you used in the beginning, what are those? I drink a lot of loose tea and been looking for something like yhay
I need to sleep all the time too, it's what I call "depression naps" !
What's the app to regulate the look of your instagram feed ? Didn't really get the name
It's called Snug!
Aw it's for iPhone only ! But thank you for answering ♥♥ Great video like always !
congrats on getting into fashion school!
My grandma collected me kitchen stuff as Christmas and birthday presents for years and here I am missing a sugar jar (so no sugar on my tea) and a toaster and I don't even know how many other things.
the experimenter is my FAVE 😍 the scent, the colours and the popping candy!! xxx
Congrats!! Enjoy this new chapter in your life, we are behind you 110%!
☆ You inspired me to continue pursuing fashion from how inspirational and unique your style is, I hope to inspire people with my own style like you do with yours!! best wishes
I'M SO PROUD OF YOU
"suburban lesbian mom" lmao
I'm loving your vlogs!!!! I'm so happy you got in to fashion school! Never stop doing these vlogs!!!!!!!!!!!💖💖💖💖💖💖👑👑👑👑👑👑
I was actually going to uni for four years already before I moved, so it wasn't completely new... but still.
My tips for moving out are:
- try moving in with friends (or someone else you feel comfortable with) if you're worried to get too lonely
- don't be scared to ask for help (be it moving furniture or getting your lease explained, the more you know the more secure you are and less people can try and screw you over)
- keep track of your spendings (food, etc - I make a list each month, collect receipts - but maybe you have to do that when you're self-employed already anyway), this way you can keep track of your monthly needs, can plan better, and so on
- try to make your new place comfortable. it's scary and hard in a new enviroment first but it's even harder when you don't feel home at your new place at all (it may take some time though, don't stress yourself over it, either!)
I don't know if these tips work for everyone but this is just want sprung into my head just now...
Keep doing what you do best and I love you!
this video made me miss all my crafting! when my life resembles something sane again, I'm going back to it
You know i moved out when I was 18. I was crying more than my parents were. But I think the more you spend time away the better it gets .You start developing what works for you. Plus get your self involved with groups and how you meet friends.
Yass!! ✨ this makes me inspired because tomorrow im starting school right after our autumn break and I was literally depressed! 😊😘 thanks gurl ✌️
you have an autumn break?! lucky cuz I dont
Lizzy Bird rt
Phandom member #1 I HAVE 1 WEEK TILL SCHOOL!!
I'M ROUTING FOR YOU
Plus, that’s what cats are for haha 😻
P.s. thank you for the extra cat footage, it’s just the best!!
AWeerheim - Girl on weekends I can sleep for 12 hours and still be tired 😩
With your new serger you'll be... pixieOVERlocks.
Nick Yessss 😂😂😂
previously i dun really know how the cats acts since im new to the club, but thanks to ur 2 vlogs up to date, i know and understand why u pamper them so much now haha! theyre adorable!
Lol
did i just willingly watch a four-minute ad because you deserve the bucks
who am i
I did a foundation year and then went into a costume design degree. Enjoy foundation it is such a fun year!
Secondly, here's a tip for threading your serger.
Well done, don’t underestimate how terrified EVERYONE who’s going to college next fall feels. But you know it’s right for you doll xxxxx
SO PROUD OF YOU PIXIE after watching your cosplay vid you inspired me to sew and be alot more creative with everything thing I do! love you pixie💟
every morning when i have sleep paralysis i watch your videos cause my sleep paralysis experiences are scary af and your videos are like so bright pink and cute it make me feel better
Aww!! My baby cat Buffy likes to jump into my shots too! I use her as a background sometimes.
Threading a serger is a ridiculous pain the first few times, but once you get the hang of it it's not much harder than threading your normal machine. :)
In my first sewing class during freshman year of college they showed us how to thread a serger, then tested us on it for a grade. XD lol
Congrats gal !!! This is so cool cus like,, I'm gonna be going to school fall 2018 so it will be like we're goin on a fun school adventure together
