Police Incident, Scunthorpe - 15 November 2024

Police were deployed to an industrial site in Scunthorpe , Friday 15th November, following reports of an incident near to Merc Trans Ltd, which left the local community in a state of curiosity and concern. Officers arrived at the scene around 3pm, where they were observed managing the situation within the industrial yard along Normanby Road.
Witnesses described a significant police presence, with several patrol cars securing the area as officers worked to assess the situation. One eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted, “It was quite alarming to see so many police cars. It seemed like they were taking it very seriously. I saw a man being escorted into the back of a police car, but I couldn't tell what had happened.”
