  • Repetitiveness is one of the main feature of autism. A child on spectrum lacks in “Pre Learning Skills” due to ASD features...eventually causing many undesired behaviours. Such behaviours are very important to be addressed in all environments.

Hello Sir, thank you so much for sharing these videos, especially this one with english subtitle. 2 yrs ago this is how my understanding was. I could totally put myself in the mommy's place and my daughter in the little ones spot. Because my daughter was verbal(she can script and words come out but most times very unrelated responses) and physically fine, I couldn't see or understand her traits. I knew something was different about her but I couldn't understand why. Now my daughter is 5, she is getting ABA therapy since her diagnosis at 3. Though I started her therapy immediately after her diagnosis, as a mother it took me almost a year to come out of denial and accept that my daughter is different. And watching her closely every single day to understand the reason behind her behavior. And this video has given me lot of understanding to see the pattern of behavior in big picture. I could think of so many incidents that happened in the same way for months. Eventually they changed because of change of environment. I wish I had this understanding then. But to the mom In the video, I would like to say that I was in her position 2 yrs ago and now life is much better and peaceful at home. Everyday there is behavior, there is understanding problem but we are able to handle it. So give yourself some time(few months) to understand (to see the traits/patterns) your little one. The stress/fear that you have will vanish or definitely get better eventually. I'm sorry for the long response, this video impacted me lot and I had to share my mind. God bless this team for the wonderful work you are doing and my hearty wishes for the mommy and little one.

I came here just to post this comment for the benefit of your children. We traveled long distances for this guy for our Autistic kid, but honestly speaking we left as he encourages kind of mental and physical torture which might not be that much visible at first. I even don't want to recall all what he did to our kid. Beware!!!! Please, I'm asking again!!! Don't leave your child to bear torture. We are working on our kid and he is going really good Masha Allah, going to school and doing most of his stuff by himself. And we did it without inhumane and barbaric practices. Protect your angels. Don't know when it's gonna be removed.

@@gulruhama9450 I appreciate your sharing, feel comfortable your comment will not be deleted. I don’t know whose parent you are but strange that your child went through this process. I don’t recall a parent who ever discussed these concerns while their child was at STL.
Anyhow I will request to please share your concerns of “mental and physical torture” with some evidence since we record the sessions for parental feedback. Therefore you must have some recordings in this regard.
I never believe in torture nor allow someone at STL, rather I always emphasise on good pairing and good working relationship with the child.
Irrespective of anything, I am glad to know that your child is doing good.
      Thanks.

FINALLY a doctor who is logical about bad behavior from autistic kids!!!! In america, doctors teach parents that: "your child is autistic so if they hit you and punch the baby and destroy your home, just give them a hug, kiss, and their favorite candy... because they are autistic and cannot control themselves"
Seriously, I see autistic kids smashing glass vases at the mall, or hitting their father in the face and guess what the parents do? They hug and kiss the child and say "that's ok, we love you Billy". Can you believe it?! This Indian doctor is right that your CONSISTENT reaction is what determines the kids behavior. Of course Billy will punch dad in the nose if Billy learns that "wow, every time I punch daddy or break things, I get hugs and kisses!"
I wish more Americans had access to a doctor like this. In america, these bad behaving children turn into 6 foot tall adults that weigh 300 pounds, and they seriously hurt people and destroy entire homes. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for sharing your feedback on this important aspect for parenting style. Human beings/ children are same their development is subject to the environment in which they grow, whether it is America or Pakistan. Child will learn what we will teach. Being on ASD doesn’t mean that they can’t learn, they may take more time and practices but definitely they learn.
Earliest we understand these principles of parenting it helps the child. Yes if not taught at earliest then managing their aggression becomes more challenging.
For your information, I am from Islamabad, Pakistan.

Aoa Sir, my daughter is 4 yrs old She is really good in studies, very quick learner, She is 4 but knows many spellings and words, She is kind of obsessed with alphabets and numbers, but the problem is She speaks these things only on her own, when we ask her anything else, sometimes She does but most of the time She doesn't answering.
When She is alone She keeps singing rhymes , letters , alphabets, She identifies all the flashcards and things, but She just picks up and gives it to us something otherwise she throw all flashcards,, doesn't names it verbally, She has words in his vocabulary but doesn't uses them.
Can you suggest how can I overcome these difficulties ?

She would be genius in her selective subjects,

@@steptolearn-dedicatedtopar6775 I meant you are stressing the child instead of being calm in the situation . The child is crying and you don't bother about it. It is not easy to follow what you are advising because you are too stressed. May be you should get assessed first and learn how to speak when a child is present .I came to see because there are not many videos about Asians .you are impulsive to attack others, wow . God bless the people who come to you

@@hat1631 I didn’t attack anyone. Although I replied you in a lighter way but now I recommend you for assessment, after this reply of yours. The girl is in vocal stiming not crying. Her crying was addressed by me, if you could see that. Pl don’t criticise just for the sake of it. Thanks

@@steptolearn-dedicatedtopar6775 oh please stop Worrying about me. I am a doctorate in biotechnology with lots of friends colleagues and family members . Have a paper in science and working as a researcher . Living a neurotypical life 😅. I came to see the beautiful child who looks exactly like my child and trying to learn if there is anything left to learn from people like you to make my child's life better. No offense, do your good job but with little patience so others can follow your actions at home with the children.
