Guys I had the same problem and solved it yesterday. You need to complete all the achievements that keep appearing in the top middle like "trade for xxxx" and at some point the objective will be "go to the airport" or something like that, and at that point it unlocks. Its a glitch for sure. Hope it works for you
The stupid airport wont unlock.. I’ve upgraded the train station. Upgraded the truck so that i can go to the military base! But NOOOOO airport. im getting bored here.

fix the train, then make a deal with the conductor. when the deal timer is complefe. the airport opens. its dumb.

I got my truck to leval 4 and I still dont have the military base unlocked or the airport.

Finish fixing the train, then do a deal with the conductor, then its timer finishes the airport opens. dumb.
