Good for you my friend, but probably you have different problem with your back than me. OEM bar works for me only in short rides, for long distances ride I need Holeshot 🙂 ride safe🏍
You make it look easy as always Andy 👌. On the funny side....the new bars are Holeshot ....and next year you need a new saddle because your "Hole's Shot" 🤣 Maybe this is only a funny joke in English humour.....or maybe only in my head. Anyway thanks and well done again!
Hi Andy, great job as usual. I think it's a shame that you have to mod the whole bike when it still costs €20,000. You have said that you have short legs and a long torso, and bad back, maybe the Versys 650 would suit you and your body better. What do i know. But your videos are inspiring and i look forward to the next one. Have a good time and drive with respect. 👍👍👍
Yep, nobody is perfect 😉. I tried versys 650 and I have to admit that I did not like it, don't get me wrong, I think it is a good bike, but for me it is not enough cylinders, it lacks the smoothness of the V1 engine, and for me it is a bit too light. And when it comes to making all the MODs, it does not bother me at all, quite the contrary. Of course, looking at it from the financial side, it doesn't make any sense, maybe that's why people call it passion 😁 thx and ride safe 🏍🏍
Hi! I have the same problem with my back when I drive long distans. I have a Kawasaki Versys 1000 year 2022. What exactly is the name on your handlebar? Best regards Karl-Erik Faernstrand
Andy, do you have an idea for a turn signal switch? I mean, what can be done to make them not work so lightly? It's very difficult to find a gap between left and right. Regards
I dont have that problem, my switch is working perfectly I would even say that sometimes it work too hard. Maybe you should just buy another switch (second hand)
@@MotoAndy I have been driving the 2023 and 2024 Versysy 1000 over the last few days. In both cases, the turn signal switch operates so very lightly that it is very difficult to reach the off position. The left or right turn signal turns on. Many users talk about it on YT. They say it's a hassle, it's dangerous because it's hard to hit the play on the switch.
OMG! Sorry my friend, I don't want to sound rude, but how is it possible that you don't know how a turn signal switch works? to turn off the turn signal you have to press the button, my travel companion Wojtek just made video for you. ua-cam.com/users/shortsKToFfMs32wU
Hello Andy, great job ! I have Versys 1000S 2022 and I have similar problem with my back so I bought handlebar risers (25mm), it was much better but then I had problem with cable lenghts especially on the left side. It was possible to ride the bike but at maximum right turn the cables were quite tight and from the longtime perspective I was worried about them. So I removed the risers. I watched your video and it was visible that you have there some reserve but what about in maximum turn ?
hi andy great video as usual have you got a part number for the bars you are putting on or a link to where you got them from and i got the grips off easy with compressed air blown down them splits the glue

@@Pebbzor The handle bars from holshot are bent more towards the rider, which changes the position of the hands and arms, using risers you will only get a better height, but not the bend of the handle bars. For my back problem only risers are not enought.
Thank you. It gives confidence to people like me to make these changes.
I think the factory bar is perfect. I also have a bad back... I have rode over 20,000 miles with factory bars...

There is no bike that fits everyone.
Almost every bike needs to be adjusted to the individual rider.

Hi .. I own a 2018 kawasaki versys 1000 .. love your videos .. could i ask where did you et your hand guards from .. thx
Thx 🙂 hand guards were delivered with the bike and are included in the GT package
You can official Kawasaki accessory handguards or just buy the grand tourer with all the bits already fitted.
Why did you change the handlebars instead of adding handlebar risers?
Bacause handelbar risers do not work for me, and I have this handle bars from my previous versys 2018, so why not 😉
