Just so you know, the reason your mouse is only counting half the clicks is because it probably isn't a double click mouse, whereas your other one was. Hope this helped!

It’s only counting half the clicks, because of something known as debounce time, which is basically how many clicks you can do maximum, certain mouses allow you to customize your debounce so you might want to research your mouse
its not his debounce time because in one of his later videos he said it counts all of his left clicks but only half of his right clicks. No mice allow you to only change the debounce time of 1 button
for your mouse, try checking the debounce settings. it’s basically a setting where u change the cool down time where it will count a click after you click.

I’ve had a really stressful day today, school started and that had me especially stressed then after to unwind and relieve my stress I logged onto my guild smp to which I found all of my house which took hours and hours to make all grieved. All my chest items were stolen or burned. Then if things couldn’t get worse, I was then hunted down and killed, and had all my items in my inventory stolen. I was one of the only ones who minded my own business and didn’t mess with anyone but for whatever reason they just wanted me dead. This made me really sad and made me quit the smp and then I was just crying on the couch being so overwhelmed. Then I saw you posted a video and it really helped just to be able to rely on you uploading your videos to help a little with that stress. You have made a big difference in my life over these last couple years, I just want to say thank you.
I’ve actually started using ladders and it’s nice when fighting someone using jump boost, because they can fall further and take less damage but with ladders you can chase them. Otherwise it is for style.

His method works. Instead of right clicking launcher, you have to open minecraft (or whatever client) and go into task manager and right click on Java SE Binary, then click properties to start. And the new mouse problem may just be a low polling rate which can sometimes cause clicks not to register. Hope this helps!

You’re probably getting lower cps cuz your new mouse doesn’t double click, there’s a good chance that you were able to get higher cps on your old one because it double clicked easily. I know this is a super common recommendation but Glorious mice have adjustable debounce timers, so you can make your mouse double click more by lowering it. Idk what your preference is, but they make an ambi mouse (Model O) and an ergo mouse (Model D), and both of them also have a ‘minus’ version if you prefer something smaller. If you don’t like any of those then some older Razer mice are known to double click too, but generally anything from Glorious is a better option
Benjamim Ratajczak yeah the regular Model O is my go-to, I’ve used a ton of significantly more expensive mice and it’s still the best imo. The only issue I have with it is that literally everything in my setup is controlled via Razer Synapse (Razer peripherals, all Asus Aura PC lighting, Nanoleaf panels, Philips Hue strips and bulbs, Alexa, etc.) which is kinda annoying, but I’ll deal with for the Model O lol

The whole mouse click thing could be that it has an optical switch or like the double click debouncer thing that doesn't allow for double clicking. Depending on like how u click such as drag clicking or butterfly or what ever, it could mean all the double clicks don't register due to the 'new improved' feature.
With some mouses you can change the debounce time (so you can double click or you can disable it) so there's probably a specific mouse software you can install to change it depending on the mouse. At the moment the debounce time is probably at like 10-20 ms so a lot of clicks wont register.
@gamerboy80 try increasing ur double click speed that helped me a little and it also depends what mouse u use as some mice can't double click so u might need to buy a new one that can double click.
The debounce timer is for sure the issue. U should get the glorious model O or glorious model D ( ergonomic for right hand ). They both have a adjustable debounce timer in the software and are used by most Minecraft PvPers. (Set debounce to lowest)

Your mouse may have a "debouncer" it's a feature on most mices to avoid unintentional double click. (it won't count some clicks basically).

The debounce timer is for sure the issue. U should get the glorious model O or glorious model D ( ergonomic for right hand ). They both have a adjustable debounce timer in the software and are used by most Minecraft PvPers. (Set debounce to lowest)
The old mouses have a double click system and the new one are nerfed
