Robin is literally the easiest harmony to build. She only needs correct main stats and a little spd, which is far easier to get than say Ruan Mei or Sparkle. I think this is a good point that was not mentioned.
even high invest Ruan mei doesnt need much maybe s5 cogs or if you have s3+ memories other than that correct main stats +defensive ones and some spd to hit a certain breakpoint and as much BE as possible but one of her best relics is already a Echo of war set so u might very like have a lot of great pieces already
Tbf Ruan Mei is fairly easy to build considering she gets a lot of Break Effect from her major and minor traces alone. Sparkle isn't that difficult either since she just wants Speed and Crit damage, nothing else.

If you played from the start and invested into meta supports and sustain the question really becomes who you want to support specifically. I pulled Aventurine for Acheron (partially because my quest for additional Eidolons for her failed), because after trying out several I found his sustain more comfy and the stacks he adds to her ultimate counter.
Agree, I pulled Luocha for Blade, and Sparkle for JY. One support that I don;t know whose for was only RM. I only got her cuz of design and kits that seems universal enough even tho I don;t play DoT and know nothing about Break meta at that time. But no way I regret having her now.
I did a couple way back with Lunae Fu Xuan, but couldnt find the time or motivation to do more since I felt repetitive. With more and more units and modes and mechanics, and more community questions, I have a better variety of questions and these vids are fun to do. So we'll see if it continues ^^

You might want to keep this 2-video format on future characters. I enjoyed it, and I'm skipping Robin. But for people on the fence, or just hype, this is a good resource.
158 SPD with Vonwacq and her Technique guarantees 7 actions (E-QB-Q-E-Q-Q-EB) in 4 cycles, for a total of 2 Bursts: you can get 160 Energy on her second action on Cycle 0 if you attack with the other three units before her second action takes place (you need at least 120 SPD on each of them in order to do so), then the second Burst can mathematically be available on her last action, just a bit before 450 AV, but you can only benefit from the instant action advance, instead of the full Burst duration, as the cycle ends immediately after. I advise >134 SPD damage dealers in order to actually benefit from her first Burst's action advance. In the end, the built-in +25% action advance on the start of the battle and the +40% provided by Vonwacq do not compensate the 90 SPD window she has on her first Burst, making it so that you actually need 158 SPD (157.8... to be more precise) instead of 156 to have 7 actions in four cycles (that is, before the end of Cycle 3). I either suggest everyone interested in building her to either get as much Attack as possible, neglecting SPD past 120, to deal a lot of damage during the sole Burst you are getting in the span of four cycles (you may get a second one if you spam E, but your SP economy might not be able to sustain that), or to farm in order to achieve 158 SPD on Vonwacq: a major difference between these two builds is going to be survivability stats' distribution, as you want as much Atk% subrolls as possible with the latter, while you can welcome Hp% and Def% with the first, simce you do not need SPD boots at all (even ERR rope might be optional). EDIT - One more thing: you need exactly 158 SPD on her; I have not calculated with 159, but even that should be too much, making her faster than your 134 SPD damage dealer on their last action (near 450 AV), wasting the purpose of her Burst's action advance, reason for which I advise >134 SPD. I have not calculated the ideal SPD for your dmg dealers, but the more the better (no need to go past 143, though, I presume)

I've been investing vertically in my RRAT team and I'm so pleased with Robin, she feels so good to play with. I got absurdly lucky with my pulls and managed to pick up E1S1 Robin and another eidolon for my Topaz bringing her up to E2 with only 180 pulls. I'll probably be able to clear 1 side of MoC and likely Apocalyptic Shadow with ease until the game gets sunsetted now. Time to start saving for Jade for my IPC collection, I hope she'll make it so PF isn't such a struggle for me.
I still think there is value in pulling Robin even if you have the other 3 harmony units. For me personally my main DPS are Acheron, Jingliu, and Kafka/BS, so even though I have all 3 Harmony I don't get much use out of Sparkle because I run Bronya with JL, and Ruan Mei for JL Hyper/Kafka & BS DoT/Acheron Kafka & BS DoT. All 3 of those teams really want Ruan Mei, and lose a lot of damage without her. So generally speaking one of my teams has to take a damage loss due to this. Robin being a 'second Ruan Mei' is really useful as it allows me to run DoT/Acheron DoT on one side with Robin and frees up Ruan Mei for JL Hypercarry or vice versa. That being said though, if you have other Hypercarry DPS who use Sparkle (such as Daniel), and thus you get a lot of use out of all 3 of the Harmony units, then I would agree her value is generally lower. However if you focus on duo DPS/DoT/Non Harmony Hypercarry (Acheron) teams like I do, then Robin still has a lot of value. It is important for me to note that my situation is a little unique on the basis that I am generally not running sustains for MoC so I can 0 cycle, and this makes Ruan Mei uniquely more valuable for my combination of DPS characters. I wouldn't expect you to account for that though since I am a very niche case, and you're right 99% of the time, but I thought I would add something to your advice incase anyone else is in a similar spot to me.
After doing 16 actions in one cycle with Clara using Bronya and Sparkle in Pure Fiction, I just want to pull Robin and add her to the team to see what will happen.
i knew from the second i saw Robin i was gonna pull for her, but it’s still nice to learn more about her kit regardless! i was really torn tho ab pulling her light cone or not tho bc i really want to pull Firefly next patch BUT luckily for me i did a 10 pull on the standard banner after the embers shop reset and got a copy of Bronya’s light cone so i’m all set!! 🙌
Thanks for this guide! I think with this video, I'm about 80/20 in my decision to get Robin. I'm missing Topaz for the RAT core team, but I'm leaning more towards Robin because I only have 1 limited Harmony (Ruan Mei). If ever I get her (I'm on 50/50), my team will be a Ratio Hypercarry of E2S1 Ratio, E0S1 Aventurine, Robin, and E4 Pela with Resolution LC. :)

If you specifically saved for her who am i to stop you but if you are skeptical about her, TLDR : if you have two 5* harmony she is not really needed. Get a dps for elemental coverage and for different gamemodes
Still doing a RRAT team even without S1 Aventurine, E1S1 Topaz since I prefer not to pull for Light Cones and Eidolons and prefer to pull for units more since it's more fun to have a new unit entirely.
I think a nice way to explain robin's Concerto state speed stat for the speed requirements is to say that her Concerto stat is like Jingyuan's Lightning Lord without her baing able to increase it herself in any meanigful way. Though that does bring something to mind since in Golden Gears I seem to remember a buff that can action advance even summoned allies, will that effect Robin Concerto state?
I'm one Xueyi away from E6, and I'm really enjoying using her for quantum-weak enemies. So I'm pulling just until I can get either ,or maybe even both Xueyi and Robin in the same 10-pull.

i know this is kind of a dumb question but do you think robin will be equal to Ruin mei on high speed break teams, on one side Ruin mei obviously buffs break and makes it eaiser but on the other 100% AV forward also increases toughness bar damage and the extra damage could be really nice if the break damage wasn't enough to kill, plus this lets you go all out on break stats since robin will buff the atk by a ton.
This was nice it helped clear up some questions. Im pulling for her since I mainly run Seele,Jingliu and Kafka. I would like to have them all have their own limited 5 star support. I already have Sparkle and Ruan Mei.
Man, as a new player this game is quite overwhelming, even as a gacha/Genshin/Summoner's war veteran. I have Ratio/Aventurine and no premium harmony units, so I guess Robin is just a solid account builder, but team needs in HSR seem so specific and demanding. I guess you just try to collect the new shinny thing and eventually your power grows.
Hoyo out here giving me dilemmas on who to pull since I'm one of those peeps who pull based on character design or when I can do fun stuff with a character's kit. Robin is mad tempting because I missed Ruan Mei but at the same time they already drip marketed Firefly and she is probably my favorite character in Penacony so far ;-;

Thankfully just got her at 75 pity with no guarantee. Chanting _Blessing of Pokke_ might actually work lol. Putting her on Kafka+Swan team and getting Boothill and Ruan Mei for Super Break later, and that's it, my account will be complete.
I'm still new to the game, and I have zero 5* harmony characters, so getting her is definitely a priority. I also happen to have Bronya's signature, so I am basically set if I get Robin.

I have all harmony units but I'll probably still pull robin since I only have 2 decently built teams(, one of which is Jingliu and the other follow-up. ) and ruan mei is already in jingliu's team. So I also can't use another team without ruan mei in moc (due to lack of teams), which I guess justifies it

What about combining Robin and ASTA ? Seems like a good way to get everyone above 180 speed, for 3 attack per Concerto state. (an Abundance unit with Multiplication could even reach 4 attack per Concerto) Also, with the Abundance of Atk buff, maybe you could consider ERR rope on the main dps ? Now, i'm not sure which dps would better fit that setup : Jing Yuan ? Topaz ? Ratio ? Critka ?
Even Though I have Ruan Mei still go for Robin because when I need the two team DoT and FuA then Ruan Mei need to be in one of them, but if I have Robin don't need to worry about it, also I want to best for the two teams.

Hey Guoba. Great vid as always man, you keep putting out quality and you've definitely only gotten better. I've a bit of a silly question. For context, I have E0 Ratio (plan on getting his S1 on his rerun assuming there's nothing else I want then) and E0S1 Aventurine, and I'm good on 5 star harmonies (got em all barring Robin). I know Robin is probably the better, more universal pull but I've wanted Topaz since she came out and had to skip her back then cuz follow-up teams just weren't really a strong team back in 1.4 and I was saving for other stuff. Here's my question. Assuming all goes well and I nab Topaz early (for the sake of argument), should I then try my luck at getting Robin to complete the RRAT team or should I try to get S1 for Topaz? I know Robin is huge and universal, but she'll likely rerun again before Topaz gets her 2nd rerun and I'm more likely to get a cone than a character (it's also why I'm saying S1 and not E1 for Topaz), so I don't mind getting her when she reruns. Likewise, Topaz's cone is good on Ratio so I could even use it on him until he gets his own. I'm a low spender (mostly Express Pass since I don't really need BP anymore) and got other responsibilities so swiping is out of the question. Your thoughts? TL;DR: I have E0S0 Ratio and E0S1 Aventurine and was wondering if I should go for Topaz's LC or Robin if I were to get Topaz at a reasonable amount of pulls.
I think there's one facet you missed in the first section - while Ruan Mei and Robin can largely sub out for each other and work well enough outside their niches, neither can be in two places at once. If you're specifically trying to build your account wide instead of tall, 'completing the set' gives you the freedom to run two dual-DPS or two hypercarry teams without having to hamstring one or the other. Even in that case I wouldn't recommend her over, say, getting up to two limited sustains or filling an elemental weakness gap, but there's a reasonable argument besides the ever present 'pull you you want to once you can clear' advice.
I wanted to pull her because i wanted another support for my Blade who deals ~100k, using pela and yukong. After hearing that she is good for follow-up attacks, I want her even more. (I'm in the middle of farming Starcrusher Swarm King for her mats and my god it sucks balls)
The problem with the Bronya LC is that if I pick it up in Bronya, I don't know what to replace it with. Sparkle already has a crafting one, and I think it is impractical to make a second copy. Try "DDD" on Bronya 134 spd(or maybe Sparkle 160spd better)? upd. And yet, the sooner the end of Aventurine's banner comes, the harder it becomes to choose... him or Robin. All the content went to all stars, but not without problems. On one side is the Fuxuan and my favorite Bailu 160spd, and the Gepard E1 which works perfectly with the Acheron. Aventurine, as a character, is not directly captivating (like Robin), but his power is mesmerizing. Probably, if I decide to draw a healer, I will draw HuoHuo, because the character is not only strong, but also more pleasant to me. At the expense of Robin, the lack of RM and the possibility of advancing the team's move attracts attention...but there is Bronya/Sparkle/SWE1/PelaE6/TYE6/YKE6...Tough choice, tough
Chat, arlan main here. Wouldn't robin be incredibly good with Arlan in a comp with bronya and aventurine? The main issue with running double advance forward with sparkle bronya is that theres a severe lack of attack% buff in that synergy, which Arlan finds much more valuable than damage%. let me cook
@@guobacertified maybe something along the lines of a low speed aventurine, that acts just after Arlan and Bronya have finished their combo so that they can get their shields refreshed. It's all up in the air for the time being since not many people are looking into these calculations
Who would you recommend I pull for in the upcoming banners if I've full cleared Pure Fiction, but can only achieve 1 star in MOC floor 12 using these teams: First half - E0 Aventurine with Gepard's signature LC/ E1 Himeko with Argenti's signature and the follow up Relic set/E5S5 Herta with follow up Relic set/E0S1 Ruan Mei. Second half - E0 Gepard with Trend LC/E2S1 Acheron with BiS Relics/E6 Pela with Sweat LC/E0 Sparkle with Bronya's Signature LC. What I've noticed is my first team isn't doing quite enough damage consistently and there are dry spells for follow up procs. And for the second team my Gepard just isn't keeping my team alive even with all recommended stat thresholds met. I can't switch the sustain units because Aventurine has to be with the follow up team, and I can't use Luocha, Bailu, or E6 Gallagher because everything one shots so healing is useless. I think I should go for Fu Xuan to replace Gepard, but I don't know if Robin or Topaz would be better for the first team to free up Aventurine for the second team. Himeko is staying, my goal to be clear is for her and Acheron to be my two primary DPS units.
why no one focuses running ruan mei AND robin for kafka+swan? -pure fiction already needs no sustain. -clears in 0-1(and maaaaaybe 2) cycles need no sustain in MOC -RM helps getting that desired 3 actions per concerto with her speed buff and DDD.

I either suggest everyone interested in building her to either get as much Attack as possible, neglecting SPD past 120, to deal a lot of damage during the sole Burst you are getting in the span of four cycles (you may get a second one if you spam E, but your SP economy might not be able to sustain that), or to farm in order to achieve 158 SPD on Vonwacq: a major difference between these two builds is going to be survivability stats' distribution, as you want as much Atk% subrolls as possible with the latter, while you can welcome Hp% and Def% with the first, simce you do not need SPD boots at all (even ERR rope might be optional).
EDIT - One more thing: you need exactly 158 SPD on her; I have not calculated with 159, but even that should be too much, making her faster than your 134 SPD damage dealer on their last action (near 450 AV), wasting the purpose of her Burst's action advance, reason for which I advise >134 SPD. I have not calculated the ideal SPD for your dmg dealers, but the more the better (no need to go past 143, though, I presume)

I've been investing vertically in my RRAT team and I'm so pleased with Robin, she feels so good to play with. I got absurdly lucky with my pulls and managed to pick up E1S1 Robin and another eidolon for my Topaz bringing her up to E2 with only 180 pulls. I'll probably be able to clear 1 side of MoC and likely Apocalyptic Shadow with ease until the game gets sunsetted now. Time to start saving for Jade for my IPC collection, I hope she'll make it so PF isn't such a struggle for me.

I still think there is value in pulling Robin even if you have the other 3 harmony units. For me personally my main DPS are Acheron, Jingliu, and Kafka/BS, so even though I have all 3 Harmony I don't get much use out of Sparkle because I run Bronya with JL, and Ruan Mei for JL Hyper/Kafka & BS DoT/Acheron Kafka & BS DoT. All 3 of those teams really want Ruan Mei, and lose a lot of damage without her. So generally speaking one of my teams has to take a damage loss due to this. Robin being a 'second Ruan Mei' is really useful as it allows me to run DoT/Acheron DoT on one side with Robin and frees up Ruan Mei for JL Hypercarry or vice versa. That being said though, if you have other Hypercarry DPS who use Sparkle (such as Daniel), and thus you get a lot of use out of all 3 of the Harmony units, then I would agree her value is generally lower. However if you focus on duo DPS/DoT/Non Harmony Hypercarry (Acheron) teams like I do, then Robin still has a lot of value. It is important for me to note that my situation is a little unique on the basis that I am generally not running sustains for MoC so I can 0 cycle, and this makes Ruan Mei uniquely more valuable for my combination of DPS characters. I wouldn't expect you to account for that though since I am a very niche case, and you're right 99% of the time, but I thought I would add something to your advice incase anyone else is in a similar spot to me.

If you specifically saved for her who am i to stop you but if you are skeptical about her, TLDR : if you have two 5* harmony she is not really needed. Get a dps for elemental coverage and for different gamemodes
Still doing a RRAT team even without S1 Aventurine, E1S1 Topaz since I prefer not to pull for Light Cones and Eidolons and prefer to pull for units more since it's more fun to have a new unit entirely.

I think a nice way to explain robin's Concerto state speed stat for the speed requirements is to say that her Concerto stat is like Jingyuan's Lightning Lord without her baing able to increase it herself in any meanigful way. Though that does bring something to mind since in Golden Gears I seem to remember a buff that can action advance even summoned allies, will that effect Robin Concerto state?
I'm one Xueyi away from E6, and I'm really enjoying using her for quantum-weak enemies. So I'm pulling just until I can get either ,or maybe even both Xueyi and Robin in the same 10-pull.
Thanks for the RRAT team breakdown for what debuff to get. A little late to recommend Adventurine’s LC, but I’m already happy with what I’ve got for him. I’m leaning toward Topaz LC because it’ll (hopefully) cost less
i know this is kind of a dumb question but do you think robin will be equal to Ruin mei on high speed break teams, on one side Ruin mei obviously buffs break and makes it eaiser but on the other 100% AV forward also increases toughness bar damage and the extra damage could be really nice if the break damage wasn't enough to kill, plus this lets you go all out on break stats since robin will buff the atk by a ton.
This was nice it helped clear up some questions. Im pulling for her since I mainly run Seele,Jingliu and Kafka. I would like to have them all have their own limited 5 star support. I already have Sparkle and Ruan Mei.

Man, as a new player this game is quite overwhelming, even as a gacha/Genshin/Summoner's war veteran. I have Ratio/Aventurine and no premium harmony units, so I guess Robin is just a solid account builder, but team needs in HSR seem so specific and demanding. I guess you just try to collect the new shinny thing and eventually your power grows.

Hoyo out here giving me dilemmas on who to pull since I'm one of those peeps who pull based on character design or when I can do fun stuff with a character's kit. I have all harmony units but I'll probably still pull robin since I only have 2 decently built teams(, one of which is Jingliu and the other follow-up. ) and ruan mei is already in jingliu's team. So I also can't use another team without ruan mei in moc (due to lack of teams), which I guess justifies it

Seems like a good way to get everyone above 180 speed, for 3 attack per Concerto state. (an Abundance unit with Multiplication could even reach 4 attack per Concerto)
Also, with the Abundance of Atk buff, maybe you could consider ERR rope on the main dps ?
Now, i'm not sure which dps would better fit that setup : Jing Yuan ? Topaz ? Ratio ? Critka ?

You should look into Robin replacing Silverwolf on qua weak moc runs for Seele. It is a very strong contender.

The slow doesnt impact you -37 SPD, its the slow on the DPS that means the breakpoint no longer functions

Hey Guoba. Great vid as always man, you keep putting out quality and you've definitely only gotten better. I've a bit of a silly question. For context, I have E0 Ratio (plan on getting his S1 on his rerun assuming there's nothing else I want then) and E0S1 Aventurine, and I'm good on 5 star harmonies (got em all barring Robin). I know Robin is probably the better, more universal pull but I've wanted Topaz since she came out and had to skip her back then cuz follow-up teams just weren't really a strong team back in 1.4 and I was saving for other stuff.
Here's my question. Assuming all goes well and I nab Topaz early (for the sake of argument), should I then try my luck at getting Robin to complete the RRAT team or should I try to get S1 for Topaz? I know Robin is huge and universal, but she'll likely rerun again before Topaz gets her 2nd rerun and I'm more likely to get a cone than a character (it's also why I'm saying S1 and not E1 for Topaz), so I don't mind getting her when she reruns. Likewise, Topaz's cone is good on Ratio so I could even use it on him until he gets his own. I'm a low spender (mostly Express Pass since I don't really need BP anymore) and got other responsibilities so swiping is out of the question. Your thoughts?
TL;DR: I have E0S0 Ratio and E0S1 Aventurine and was wondering if I should go for Topaz's LC or Robin if I were to get Topaz at a reasonable amount of pulls.
I think there's one facet you missed in the first section - while Ruan Mei and Robin can largely sub out for each other and work well enough outside their niches, neither can be in two places at once. If you're specifically trying to build your account wide instead of tall, 'completing the set' gives you the freedom to run two dual-DPS or two hypercarry teams without having to hamstring one or the other.
Even in that case I wouldn't recommend her over, say, getting up to two limited sustains or filling an elemental weakness gap, but there's a reasonable argument besides the ever present 'pull you you want to once you can clear' advice.
I wanted to pull her because i wanted another support for my Blade who deals ~100k, using pela and yukong. After hearing that she is good for follow-up attacks, I want her even more.

The problem with the Bronya LC is that if I pick it up in Bronya, I don't know what to replace it with. Sparkle already has a crafting one, and I think it is impractical to make a second copy. Try "DDD" on Bronya 134 spd(or maybe Sparkle 160spd better)? upd. And yet, the sooner the end of Aventurine's banner comes, the harder it becomes to choose... him or Robin. All the content went to all stars, but not without problems. On one side is the Fuxuan and my favorite Bailu 160spd, and the Gepard E1 which works perfectly with the Acheron. Aventurine, as a character, is not directly captivating (like Robin), but his power is mesmerizing. Probably, if I decide to draw a healer, I will draw HuoHuo, because the character is not only strong, but also more pleasant to me. At the expense of Robin, the lack of RM and the possibility of advancing the team's move attracts attention...but there is Bronya/Sparkle/SWE1/PelaE6/TYE6/YKE6...Tough choice, tough

Chat, arlan main here. Wouldn't robin be incredibly good with Arlan in a comp with bronya and aventurine? The main issue with running double advance forward with sparkle bronya is that theres a severe lack of attack% buff in that synergy, which Arlan finds much more valuable than damage%.

just make sure to recast aventurine shield now and then for arlan, he wont be following up much

Who would you recommend I pull for in the upcoming banners if I've full cleared Pure Fiction, but can only achieve 1 star in MOC floor 12 using these teams:
First half - E0 Aventurine with Gepard's signature LC/ E1 Himeko with Argenti's signature and the follow up Relic set/E5S5 Herta with follow up Relic set/E0S1 Ruan Mei.
Second half - E0 Gepard with Trend LC/E2S1 Acheron with BiS Relics/E6 Pela with Sweat LC/E0 Sparkle with Bronya's Signature LC.
What I've noticed is my first team isn't doing quite enough damage consistently and there are dry spells for follow up procs. And for the second team my Gepard just isn't keeping my team alive even with all recommended stat thresholds met.
I can't switch the sustain units because Aventurine has to be with the follow up team, and I can't use Luocha, Bailu, or E6 Gallagher because everything one shots so healing is useless.
I think I should go for Fu Xuan to replace Gepard, but I don't know if Robin or Topaz would be better for the first team to free up Aventurine for the second team. Himeko is staying, my goal to be clear is for her and Acheron to be my two primary DPS units.

-clears in 0-1(and maaaaaybe 2) cycles need no sustain in MOC
-RM helps getting that desired 3 actions per concerto with her speed buff and DDD.
